Thanks bro
This is awesome! I used a font pack to make my font Exocet (Diablo 2's font). Here it is for anyone else that wants this. Only problem is there isn't a degree symbol. So on temperatures there is only a big period. If anyone can fix this let me know. I'm also going to look into it. In the meantime, it still looks amazing!
EDIT: I fixed the degree symbol so now it's not a period. This font looks great! And is it weird that I've gotten better battery life with this font?
PS: I am now the envy of all of the nerds at my workplace!

If your on a gingerbread rom they will not work because of clockwork 3xx we have to wait till that's figured out.
Used this to rid the Royal Thunder Rom of the fancy yet hard to read font, solution is simple downgrade cwmod version to a 2x reboot into clockwork, flash font, reboot then simply revert to 3x recovery.. all better Hope this is useful.

Some of you might already know this, but I always recommend trying Root Tools in the market. It comes with easy to install Fonts
Has anyone found a way to change fonts on CM7? There are edify packages in the big fontpack thread, but they don't work, nothing changes. I tried dropping the ttf's in the system font folder then clearing cache partition and dalvik cache, just bootloops. It's the last visual element I'm trying to change to combine the awesomeness of froyo and gingerbread.

I found a work around. flash a 2 x recovery thru rom manager, flash the font pack, reboot, flash the current recovery back

It worked for me. I'm running a Vibrant CM7, and I flash fonts like it's spring break. I flashed a 2.5.1.2 recovery. What error did it give you? If it gives you the edify scripting, you need to double check the script in the font pack. If update-binary and updater-script are not in there, then it wont work.
can someone help me, i cant get adobe flash to work on virusrom
have you fix permissions in rom manager? fixed flash for me
i tried it and nothing changed
I'm on virusrom and have no problems with flash.
On another note, where is the host file for virus rom? What folder has the file that lists all that ads that are blocked from apps and browsers. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

OK try this. Use root explorer or titanium backup and delete adobe flash. Then try downloading it again from the market.

well, just to let u know when i tried that route it got a bit tricky...make the app folder full R/W and then go to Titanium Backup and delete it, u will need to reboot so the R/W takes effect and then download Flash Player off the market, should install no problem
Edit: The reason u R/W is because when u delete it and try to reinstall it seems to always be unsuccessful on the install...this method fixed it for me
a couple other q's
1) My font color in the notification pulldown is black, with the dark colored pulldown it's really hard to see (especially if i'm outside) .... can I change that text color to white, or a brighter color? ....or did I do something wrong?
2) My keyboard is still the standard keyboard and not the black and blue keyboard from the screenshot ... I really want that keyboard! ....what did I miss??
3) I really like that twitter widget that is in the screenshot on VR page....but I don't have that....how do I get it???
....I probably have more q's, but I can't think of them right now....I couldn't post this in the VR page because I'm a new member and xda won't allow it yet :/
anyone out there??
unfortunately I can't post this to the actual VR forum since I'm a new member with under 10 posts...
...so I'll get my reply, or 10 posts, either way ... it's all good!
thought of another issue...don't think it's the rom because I was having the same issue with tesla coil....my bluetooth headphones disconnect all the time .... never had this problem before tbolt; dx stayed connected, so I don't know what it is about the bolt that would make that happen...
Thought of another issue, ..this thread is dead...
the good news is ...i'm almost at 10 posts
looks like I can't delete these posts...
I am sorry, I know this is annoying...I would just like to be able to post in the other threads...
number 10 .
didn't work ...so now I guess i have another question ....why can't I post in the VR thread!!!???!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't want to use font changer as it may cause boot loop. I tried to copy font in system are aa but unable to apply font. So, if any one here know plz write down steps.. very much appreciate
as yo uare rooted already, you can install TOOL BOX and change LCD DENSITY
that soft gives you loads of controls over your display.
mind, that changing lcd density will result in phone not recognised as compatible with other apps you are trying to find and install, so to by pass this side effect, you can change density to default, find and download soft you desire and then change density again to resize everything on your screen to desire effect.
I used JRummy's font installed app and had no issues whatsoever (DROID 2, DROID 3, DROID Pro, HTC Incredible)
Download and install Rom Toolbox. It has a font installer. It also comes with allot of fonts to choose from. And you can do allot more stuff with Rom Toolbox. I use it all the time.

I have always kept the Google Search widget on my homescreen. I have a son who is curious about everything, so I'm often searching things, and I used to touch the mic button to play a song from Google music or dictate a text.
I've had a lot of trouble with my Vibrant lately and have finally gotten FishmanMod Blue 2.2 Frankenstein Slim to work for me. However, I have lost the search widget. When I try to add it from my widget list, all I get is an empty box that says and does absolutely nothing.
I went to Google Play and it said that Search isn't compatible with my device. (The photos looked like Google Now...)
I have tried searching the forums, and came across an .apk that I tried. I moved it from my downloads folder using Root Explorer into the /system/apps folder and rebooted.
Still the same result.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Thanks for reading!
when you found the widget and moved it in ROOT did you change the permissions then reboot or just moved the file and reboot ?

I changed the permissions. Basically what I did was looked up the thread where Woodrube said how to install GTalk as a system app. I copied those instructions in order to move this .apk. The permissions I set are:
Owner: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read
Others: Read
None of the special permissions are ticked.
you dont need execute bro just check read on owner/group/others and check write for owner reboot and check again also you made sure you deleted the other one that was kinda there but not working ??

Thanks for the reply. For the record, I'm not a bro
Reset the permissions as you suggested. I looked for anything else with "google" and "search" in it and found nothing besides what I knew I had moved there. Rebooted, same results. I only see "search" in my widget list and it is still an empty box.
Okay, looks like I'm just completely missing the Google Search apk. I installed a 3rd party widget from the Play Store, and touching the mic activates the voice search (because I have it installed) but tapping anywhere else on the search box does absolutely nothing.
I need to look for the Google Search app itself. Any ideas on how to get it? I can't find it at all on Play store. I need it for 2.2.
im so sorry mama excuse my stupidity and do you have any other 2.2 roms ? you can open up the rom on your phone or computer and open the system folder and look for the google search apk are you familiar n doing that again my apologies

No problem. Please don't apologize. I fully realize and accept that I'm totally in the minority here. No big deal at all. Just struck me as funny.
That's a really good idea. I'll try that. I've got the voice search shortcut on my homescreen, and I can use that. I just dislike change.
Hopefully all this will cease to be an issue when I get my new phone. The Hubs (DigitalMonk) thinks I should wait for the new Nexus to come out on Tmo. I'm not at all sure I don't just want to stick with what I know and go with the SGSIII.
I feel you honestly I love the nexus but I always feel like those phone are never giving enough power etc for they to be top dollar phones and the last 2 had problems with the bootloader and recovery being wiped and volume /power buttons becoming disabled ill stick with what you know samsung phone might be plasticy but there solid IMO but if you was to get the new.phone its like trying to keep up with buying jordan lol stick to something you like not because its new but because its easier for you

Okay first I need to know what Android version you are running. If you are running 2.x, you can only use the old Google SearchBar Widget version 1.x. Do not try installing Google Now to Android 2.x because it is incompatible. You can extract the Google SearchBar Widget from gingerbread "gapps.zip" files: http://goo.im/gapps
If you are running ICS roms and want to use Google Now, there are modded version to make it working.
If you are using Jelly Bean roms, then you should be able to install Google Now from the Market.
If you are installing Google Now to Jelly Bean by manually moving the apk file to /system/app, the app needs a lib file called "libgoogle_recognizer_jni.so". However, the name of this file can change depends on the version you are using. This file is located in the \lib\armeabi-v7a\ folder within the apk file itself, it needs to be extracted and moved to the \system\lib\ folder. If you install the apk using conventional method, it will automatically extract this lib file to the necessary location, so you wouldn't have to worry about all this.
It's not recommended do this manually, but by either flashing the patch, or installing it from the Play Store.
Here is the patch for ICS roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835199
The patch for Jelly Bean roms is located at SlimRoms website in the addons section.
I have the note 3 with sprint n 900p. It is rooted, with twrp recovery, I am trying to change the font, I used font installer, and installed ChinaCat, which has worked for the most part changing MOST system fonts.... however, I would like to know how to change the font for the entire system, and applications, such as facebook, and textra.. Is there a way to do this? Ifont, fonster have not worked for me.
I also would like to be able to change the font to chinacat on the original samsung keyboard. I have root explorer, so if I have to go in and rewrite manually, I am able to do so, but I need to know which fonts to rewrite,
I would like Chinacat font through the entire system, keyboard, and apps if possible, thank you,

You could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2752379 it will change all your system Fonts. It has 500 fonts, your font maybe in there just called something else. Download mod, copy and paste to your sd card, use root explorer go to system/app and delete SamsungSans.apk then copy and paste the new SamsungSan.apk to system/app. Now fix permissions rw-r--r-- then go to system/data and delete Delvik cache. Now reboot the device for changes to take affect, go to settings/device/font/font style choose a font follow the prompts. As for the dialer, text keyboard, Facebook, and some downloaded apps, those fonts have to be changed in within the apk with an apktool/samli/baksamli when your theming a rom apk you can change the font, here are some pics of a dialer I changed the font on http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/themes-apps/post-screen-phone-setup-t3013772 go to post #2 .
