I was looking at some upcoming models from HTC like the Vigor with a 720p display(!) and a few others when I thought, what would you like to see in the next 'evolution' of the Shooter?
Here's what I came up with
HTC 'Magnificent'
Qualcomm S3 or S4 SoC
4gb RAM
16gb of actual onboard storage
NFC
2000+ mAh battery
4.5" 720p IPS display (Hitachi with the lenticular barrier?)
Smaller bezel!
Much smaller or 'invisible' earpiece
7.2 - 10mp cameras
2 - 3.2mp front facing cam for face recognition
1080p 3D video
Android 2.4.x with the cool software buttons instead of hardware or softkeys
Realistic?
Maybe...i'd buy one... >D

So after doing a little research, I think I've found what is a leaked screenshot of the HTC EVO 3D II phone...
Shhh, don't tell anyone!
And if you're looking for more juice, Stinger has made an extended battery for this phone. It's 72,000 mAh, so now you can go weeks without charging your phone! No extended battery door needed!
But to keep this battery alive, you'll need the Black & Decker VEC1093DBD Battery Charger.
Seriously, who remembers the days of the bag phones? They didn't even come with Snake!
My first cell was like this but black in color. I was 17 years old, had 2 beepers and this! Yes I needed all that, at the time lets just say my activities were not that of the law
My how things have changed!!!
I miss the days we all used walkie talkies and cb radios.
lol, for what?!

yesss.... I had one of those briefcase cellphones, was just describing it to my 21 yr. old. CLASSIC ..& yes the brick phone too Wow memories ...

My first polyphonic ringtones phone, people were trippin out when I had music coming out of my pocket one morning after a party. I was rocking the Knight Rider ringtone I payed $1.99 for. Everyone else still had the beep beep phones.
Does anybody remember 3gforfree website? That site was the shiz.

Hell yeah the 90's was so great for cell phones, there was no SIM, no GSM here in America ... before CDMA (B Carrier) and TDMA (A Carrier) it was Analog and people could here everything that was going on with a good 800Mhz scanner ... cloning was so easy ... No A key or nothing ... $300 for 360 minutes from AT&T .. wow have things come far in the past 15 years...
I would like to see the future with an intergrated communications chip linked directly to us... just say to yourself .. dial whomever and they ring their chip .. LOL ... soon enough

Hmm, while we're at it...
Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.5 GHz Krait quad core processor
16 GB RAM
1 TB internal storage
NFC
Push to Talk
Nokia's Infinite Cellphone Battery (whenever that rolls out)
5.5" 1080p NOVA display (from LG Optimus Black)
No Bezel
Two 80 MP cameras on the back (see Leaf Aptus-II 12)
15 MP front camera with retina scan to unlock phone
2160p 3D video
Android Ice Cream Sandwich
Waterproof
Built in projector
RJ-45 jack for wired networking
Ubuntu Linux built in to turn the phone into a computer (like the Atrix 4G)
And what else?
Built in toaster so you can say "It does everything AND make toast!"
But seriously, it's like our phones are turning into computers. What happened to it just being a phone? I don't want more features necessarily. I want better coverage and better signals first. I'd like to see Sprint roll out with more towers with faster data rates. And what gets me is that I heard from a Sprint rep that they're switching to LTE and ditching WiMax. I'm kinda bummed, but he did say that the EVO 3D will be able to pick up LTE (I'm guessing over a OTA update, but then again I'm not sure if the phone will be able to pick up LTE).
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

I don't think I'm going to miss the kickstand too much
Might just be me, but I swear the layout on the screen looks so odd, like the app/icons are adjusted weird or however you'd like to word it...
Other then that, it looks great!!
I think it looks good but I wish it had a kickstand. I'll getting it regardless. Can't wait till Summer! Hopefully they'll give us more of a demo!
I didn't think the kickstand would be for me until I started propping it up on my desk while doing work. It was easier to pick up phone calls via bluetooth while looking at it. I really want to see how the camera shots look and what kind of lens they are using. I think the camera bezel is huge and unnecessary but whatever.
What is the shell/casing made out of?
There was a kickstand accessory for the View, and i wanna say the guy said there is one for the 3D too.
The demo from drdrewdown is awesome. This phone is totally badass.. you can completely shut 3d off if you like... they said display looks much better than the original EVO.
My only concern is battery life... but I htink I'll begetting this phone.
Yeah, whats up with the lack of a kickstand? BSOD mentioned it still has one, but I do not see it. He also mentioned NFC, but I've not seen that mentioned anywhere else yet either.
Looks good I thing they should have gone more plain style like the iPhone 4 tho(look), I'll miss the kickstands, I hope the video quality is better then my current evo, this is what the nexus s should be ha ha, definetely going to get it tho

That's because of the higher resolution screen
BSOD stated the NFC but who knows if it's included in the chip but not enabled. Also I could care less for 3D since the only thing I would be able to play it back on is the Evo. At least now people won't ask you if you have an iPhone when they see that huge camera bezel in the back.
I can imagine people selling screen protectors for the back and the front.
I'll miss the kickstand a lot. I love propping up my phone since i keep it naked and want to minimize scratching the camera lens.
So does this have the adreno GPU?
The one thing that BSOD mentioned that I was really excited about was WiMax+LTE. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything about that mentioned during the liveblog on AC.
It's an awesome phone, no doubt about that, but I'm definitely not as excited about it as I was before. With the way things are going here in San Diego, it seems pretty much pointless to pick up a new phone that only has 3G/WiMax, as it doesn't look like we'll get WiMax anytime soon.
When is this phone scheduled for release or is it unknown ATM?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
So about those facts BSOD posted, which I said were incorrect.....
The phone is sick, but the EVO View truly surprised me. It's awesome. Anyway, adios.
looks kinda less sleek then the original evo to me...No kickstand is huge for me I use that like 100 times a day at least lol...Loving the internal specs tho wow that phone is a beast...damn decisions decisions lol

Just sometime in the summer.. No specific month unfortunately.
My guess is around when the original Evo was released.
I think I am sticking with my launch day EVO. Not really impressed by the EVO 3D. EVO View seems kind of useless.
Disappointing specs, looks like a downgrade for the camera lovers.
My SGS2 is not going back to best buy now. Moreover It might take next year to come to AT&T...

I agree, screen is the only thing that I like as well, 720p looks good. 4.65in is also pretty nice, dont know if its really worth it now? probably not. I was expecting a better CPU speed atleast...
But its not worth the wait for AT&T users (atleast me). Good that I went with GS2
I wonder if the CPU and GPU are the same ones used on the S2.
The screens sounds amazing, but having just bought an S2 I'll be keeping it for a while. Maybe I'll get a Galaxy S3 or whatever next year.
Screen might be "HD" but it uses pen tile matrix as opposed to real RGB matrix
http://www.displayblog.com/2011/02/...us-dumps-pentile-matrix-goes-real-stripe-rgb/
So it might display more stuff on screen but the res isn't gonna be true HD.. Much like the original SGS...
its not for me. If it was a real step up from the SGS2 id consider selling mine for it but the only real upgrade is ICS. Id rather wait till that comes out for the devs to play with i think.
Everything else bar the camera looks good but i couldn't justify (or afford) to upgrade if the camera is only 5 mega pixel when i have an 8 mega pixel camera on the SGSII.

if Sony don't show the global hayabusa before this launches I might just bite.
How can I visit those press releases at the costs of Sony? The Hawaii style was made for me
Phones looks great.
You have to work for a Russian tech website
you should add one "sticking with xperia s"
Any news about RELEASE DATES ?
It's a shame the Acro S runs on the S3, not on an S4.
@SonyXperiaRu: acro S launches with ICS, Q3 2012, Xperia go launches with GB, Q3 2012. Both have wet finger tracking tech
size and weight just like htc sensation
But durable and big battery. need know what is cpu. If s3, then i take xperia P. somting smoler and butafull.
If s4, then realy bee good battery life in perfomance and nice styl.
I wonder why the Go isn't launching with ICS?
Hmm anyways, they don't look bad, the Go resembles the Sola a bit. I guess this officially means that the light bar is gone, oh well, life goes on . It might be that the Xperia logo lights up, I can't tell by that video though...
I don't know what to think about the Acro S, they seem to have kept sort-of the S form, but it looks a bit block-like. It's nice they are going down the water-resistant path for both of them, that can be a handy feature.
I still think the S looks better, and the Acro appears to just be a water-resistant S4 (I would assume?) version. Now we just need leaks/hints for the 2013 phones I'm curious how they will look.
and to the OP: you forgot "Happy with S/U/P/Sola" as an option .

hey, just wondering.
What if your XS got stuck in the middle of something.
Because the battery is embedded, how to hard reset it?
is it just push the power button or what?
I have a plan on buying this acro s, so you can give me a hand on this.

lol i only needed to replace my XS once due to the yellow tint. I've been using the second XS for over a month now.
both 1st and 2nd XS i had no software issues. some are experiencing with auto restarts and stuff i had none. so my chances of that and battery issue isnt going to happen.
i got to be serious with you. best looking phone that attracts my eyes is still the ARC S. The XS does definitely looks better than GX and Arco. (just my own opinion) the transparent LED stripe really does add something special to the phone.
and tbh if youre going to wait for the acro then i rather you wait for the GX its probably going to be announced by the time you order your acro
thanks OS4.
Now I can live in peace.
Waiting for acro s and hayabusa.
Both are awesome.
@litoni : yeah, I had one arc s.
It's simply awesome.
But I think I want some upgrade.
imo, even acro s and hayabusa are going to be on the market at the same time, the prices must be much different one and the other.
if in case, hayabusa costs $700, and acro s costs $600.
better than nothing, I'll take acro s instead.
thanks btw for the long explanation man.
Interestingly enough, the acro S's model number is LT26w

What are the pros and cons of this device. Thanks in advance!!!

This is my oppinion:
Pro's:
-Fast CPU
-Smooth System
-Games running excellent.
-Great audio quality.
-Brilliant Screen.
-Gorilla Glass
-64GB Storage
Con's:
-Camera.
-No slot for memory cards.
-Sometimes it gets more than hot.
-Loudspeaker quality.
Pros:
Fast CPU
Decent battery life (depending on usage, heavy LTE usage and you will only get about 8 hrs)
Solid build quality (best in the industry I think)
Great screen (you can see it even at the beach)
64 gb internal storage (who needs an external drive
LTE support
Easy to hold due to rubber like surface
Good GPS signal
Beats Audio works nicely
Cons:
HORRIBLE memory management
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
(I will go into detail about this. As with the oneX before this, this phone is completely neutered by HTC and their lack of ability to allow the phone to multitask. It simply does not do it. You can switch between 2 apps and sometimes 3 if they are small but to try to switch from say text messages and a game, forget it. Even 4 apps and this phone has to reload the instance of the 3rd or 4th. It makes using this phone a complete pain in the butt. I was using the hotels.com app and trying to compare prices with expedia in the web, switching back between text and the other two apps make the phone forget all 3 were running. It's and HTC "feature" that kills apps so the phone can supposedly run faster. Problem is, they have a wicked fast processor and they don't need to worry about this phone running fast. All it does is fast.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Lack of support by HTC and ATT (I see this being a problem for this phone in the future. Especially with the HTC One being announced.
Ugly ATT logo on front (not a deal breaker)
No removable battery (again not a deal breaker for me, it makes the build quality better so thee is a tradeoff there)
Does not make pancakes but it can cook them, read HOT phone.
Pro/Con - Somewhere in-between
Camera (Pics either comes out really good, or really bad low light performance is ok. It seems like the photos are by the software see the low light performance or lack thereof below.

Overall it's a great phone with an awesome screen, good performance, a decent battery considering what sucking on it. Frankly due to the fact that it will probably NEVER see an official update with the announcement of the HTC One, I would hold off for the one or wait and find these when the price drops significantly.
Pros:
Big screen
Fast! Quad-core is no crap!
Camera's great (compared to my HTC desire)
Very fast shutter (and I mean 4 pic/second in 8MP)
Gorilla glass
Customisable if you have a custom ROM
Cons:
Battery life's bad, and can get so hot sometimes the temperature shames the crappy iPhones.
OTA! Big deal! HTC is the worst when it comes to updates.
Multitasking sucks
BLOATED
Asphalt 7 lags
I think that's all.... It's worth the price anyways.

Very smooth, the screen is awesome. The colours are true unlike on amoled hd :good: 64gb of storage for game.I tried Nova 3 , it runs perfect with all effects enabled, i tried Asphalt 7 and it's the same.I don't know why some peopple said that their One x + lag on gaming??I can't say anything about battery life because it's too soon!
Pro
Performance good...Better than s3
Screen perfect
Battery can last a day
Call quality good
Beats audio is superb
Cons
Support and update is not as good as galaxy and iPhone and nexus
Galaxy is 4.1.2
One x+ still 4.1.1 and still no sign for 4.1.2
Sometimes hot when you play too long
Htc sync manager sucks...the good things is can import iTunes music...
The bad outlook 2013 still not supported
The battery is not removable if after use extended time is hard to change by yourself..
Not popular in my country...is hard to buy from shop for accessories..galaxy s3 a lot...(this is depends where you live)..have to buy on net
Overall I like it..
If I can give score...89 /100

That's funny, I like the Camera. I feel the internal memory is more that enough(64gigs). Speaker works great for music, but on speaker phone is a little lacking. I haven't felt it get to hot. I don't really hardcore game on it though.
The two (relatively small) cons in my book:
1: No SD card. Even with 64 gig, it would be nice if it had a SDxC slot just for backups without having to wait until everything gets stored onto Dropbox.
2: The size... it is pretty large for a phone, almost a phablet. However, with four cores that do a lot of processing, it is understandable that a larger form factor is a must to dissipate heat.
Neither is a show-stopper.
as many people ask , i wrote a boring review of this mobile which i use . read it,if you want know some details about everyday use.

Really dude? Not for heavy user? Well something is eating your battery anonymously.. I am a heavy music listener and a heavy Web browser and this device can last me full day on 3g+wifi with 4-5 hours of screen time. You should check what is eating your battery.

Really.
Your case I consider as ... average user
And for average usage battery will survive a day.
However. I should be more specific about what i mean by average/heavy user
Thanks,dude.
https://bgr.com/2015/04/07/lg-g4-release-date-announcement-april-28th/
the g4 will be released on the 28th of this month, freaken excited to see what the specs are :laugh:
It will be announced 28th hopefully released shortly thereafter
lol i just bought 2 new lg g3s for the wife an I.
switching over from sgs3
oh well. i'm okay with being a rev behind.
i might do the same.lol. waiting.on the price
Earlier, when G4 rumors were just beginning, the G4 was going to have the Snapdragon 810. There were problems with doing that, since quantity availability of the 810 was not expected before Fall, 2015. Also, later, rumors of the 810 having serious heat dissipation problems came out. So, now instead of the 810 in the Fall, the G4 will ship with the 808 (?) or something, this summer ?
IMO, LG should be officially announcing the G4 before the S6 and M9 were/are available for purchase. Many people wait all winter for new phones to come out in the spring, and since they haven't heard anything from LG they may decide to bite the bullet and go with either the S6 or M9. I know I am.
Yea the decision to wait beyond the release of the other flagships really hurts LG sales IMO

Not really. A lot of people like me will be jumping ship from Samsung if the note follows the s series. No removable back or battery and no SD. I'll be seeing what the note does. Either note 5 or G4 for me
The snapdragon810 heating problems turns out was only rumours. The 810 does pretty good and with benchmark test shows little to no heating at all.

Well it would be nice...
I guess 1440 will be fine
5.5 is close enough
F1.8 aperture will be awesome
It's great they retain SD card and removable 3000mA battery
Just assumed 810/440 but 808/Hexa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 & Adreno 418 will be good
No Gorilla 4??? According to GSMArena it will.
Leather will be deluxe too

After seeing the Facebook video about the g4, it isn't much different than our g3's. I see no reason to upgrade. I was gonna call big red and try their edge plan as I am in a contract and try and get the, g4 after 30 days. No point.... So it let's in more light for pics and has more vivid colors... No thanks, wife has the new s6 Edge and has some vivid colors thanks to the amoled screen. I put my g3 up to it and still prefer my screen as it looks more natural to me.
Also not a fan of the leather backing. I feel Samsung nailed it in the hardware this year while LG is lagging behind again. Was really wishing they'd step it up here, but it is what it is.
So more light in, vivid colors, leather backing.... Barely a better processor as it isn't the 810....
Just gonna keep rocking my g3.

well it is 30% brighter than the g3. also captures 80% more light and bumps up afew megapixals than the g3. it also has 8 megapixal front facing camera. slightely better processor.
im not saying your wrong, but i think there are updates here worth noticing

I tend to agree that it's not an upgrade that I absolutely gotta have. That being said, if I won $500 on a scratch ticket or something, I'd probably buy it at full price. I'll be happy with my G3 for another year though. If you're still on G2, I'd say it's absolutely worth the upgrade!

I actually really like that they aren't increasing the screen size (I think 5.5" is perfect without being too large) and the fact there may be a stylus!
I was waiting on the G4 but I ended up getting the Turbo by Motorola. What do you guys think? I like it

Its a decent phone, but it came out about the same time as the G3 so its not really a better phone. Larger battery and newer CPU, but everything else is a downgrade (capacitive buttons, smaller display, larger bezels, Mich worse camera, worse look IMO).

You are right, I am asking because I am still on the 14day policy and I am thinking about returning it for the G3, I am not a big Samsung fan. Thank you for responding.
I wouldn't mind getting that leather back for my G3
