i tried downloading sony sketch onto Virus airborne rom but everytime i do it stop right away and doesn't flash.
has anyone successfully flashed a font using TWRP?
I haven't managed to flash a font but I do use a workaround.
Create a folder on your sd card named "Fonts" and download .ttf files straight onto your device.
Use font changer located here, https://market.android.com/details?id=com.martino2k6.fontchangerlite, pick the font you want to use and reboot.
For some reason, not all .ttf fonts will be supported.
Better than nothing though.

what do you mean?
What kind of .zip?
is it flashable?
If not, extract it on PC or androidzip on phone, and use the wallpapers?
im not sure what kind of .zip your talking about.
The honeycomb wallpapers were in the forums about a week ago. I have the file on my phone but I don't know how to install. I tried doing it from recovery but it gets stuck on the installation screen.,

Don't do that. Just open the zip on your computer and see if you can pull the images out.

What he said^^^ I just make a folder on my internal sd called backgrounds and put my wallpapers in them.. I think if you long press on a zip file on your sd it will also extract it to a folder called extracted on your phone.
Just unzip and set the image as wallpaper.

Is it possible?
for example if I would like to change to "Ubuntu" font.
do I have to remove the native font with the new one? Would the font show properly?
yes it is check this app:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/type-fresh-change-fonts-on-your-rooted-android-device/
also if the font that you mentioned, the ubuntu one is a .zip and it has inside the META-INF folder that means you can install that .zip from recovery.
i suggest you this fonts too:

Does Type Fresh work on stock 2.1 with root and busybox?
I tried Custom Font Changer but it failed to work.
I don't know. I have 2.3.3
Hello i have changed to font changer app for root users only because it has the screen display tool wich is very nice and works perfectly in my 2.1 custom ROM.
Once you run the app it will create a folder named .fontchanger in your sdcard, then extract the fonts (.ttf format for android) to that folder, go back to the app menu>> refresh and voila you will now see the fonts, install one it will reboot let it load completely give it 3 minutes after the boot and you are ready to go.
I repeat this app is for root users you need busy box too

where can i get new fonts for my phone?
You can use any TTF font I believe. There is a thread on XDA (search for it) that has boatlaods of fonts. You can use Font Changer (market) to install them. I wouldn't flash them, just extract the .ttf from the zip and put it on your memory card and then use Font Changer to apply it. Don't let Font Changer restart the phone for you, it seems to hang on the TB.

ok thanks for the info. ill search xda and see what i come up with.
I am very happy with CM7 and it's versatility, however, I really like the font I had (Monotype Mine Font) that I used prior to CM7. I cannot figure out how to use it with the current setup. I've tried 4 different font changers and even tried renaming it to a .ttf file, but it just won't work. Does anybody know how to make this happen? TIA...
Renaming it to .ttf? What format is your font in?

The original one is a straight APK. Since that was not doing it I copied and renamed it to .ttf. Neither format works.
The full title is "com.monotype.android.font.mine.apk" if that sheds any light.
Apk are essentially zip files. You have to extract ttf font from apk using winrar or 7zip. It should be in /assets/font.
After that make three copies of it and rename them to Clockopia.ttf, DroidSans.ttf, DroidSans-Bold.ttf. Push them in /system/fonts using a root explorer and reboot. Don't forget make a backup of your default font.

Yo!
This problem is from a phone using Android 4.1.2 JB--TouchWiz.
So I'm trying to install a new font to my phone--Roboto Condensed-Light to be exact.
I took another Flashable Font I had and renamed and replaced all the necessary fonts in the .zip file.
When I tried to flash the font, the phone went into bootloop.
Is there a certain way fonts must be in order for them to work/install correctly?
Or should I just put the fonts on the SD card and push them to the font folder one-by-one?
Thanks!

The easiest way to install font's to your device is to use a font install app such as Font Installer by JRummy. What you can do is put the font on your sdcard and then using the font installer app select the font you wish to install from your sdcard and the app will install the font for you. As always be sure to make a NANDROID backup in recovery before installing any font's or performing any MOD's just to be on the safe side.
