Gonna try the root routine this weekend on my Atrix, and wanted to know which of the bloatware others have found best to remove.
Thanks!

Best to freeze bloatware, unless you know what you're doing and know how to get it back... might want to try a ROM that will remove bloatware for you (i.e. Alien).

Hey!
Love my SGS2, a massive improvement on my HTC Hero!
But, I don't like the masses of Bloatware Samsung include with the phone.
I'm rooted, and have Titanium Backup installed, but I'm unsure as to what I can safely delete/uninstall to get rid of some of the Bloatware.
If anyone has been through and cleaned there device up, can you let me know what you took off please!

I can probably take a decent stab at recommending some bloat to remove, but I don't have a device to test on So it's likely you can break some features when doing it, though you might not even use the features it breaks
So I won't post it for now, to stop the hundreds of people who break their phone and have to reflash, but if you want me to run through some stuff, and you use irc, or know how to, you can pop into #villainrom on freenode and I'll make a few suggestions...
Pulser_g2.
That rings a bell.
I'm sure I used to use your Custom ROMS on the GSM HTC Hero!
And I'll come find you on irc soon - cheers for the help mate!
I removed 65 of the installed apps, lost some useless features, running 100% stable.
I downloaded AntTek app manager which is free and lets you freeze, backup and remove any apps and I've frozen all the hubs and buddies now as have no idea what it is and then removed accuweather, APmobile and few I can't remember and have had no issues
Thanks for the tip; I've frozen a bunch of applications on mine and I'll see if it makes much of a difference.
I couldn't get this work with AntTek. Does your phone need to be rooted for it to work?
Yeah sorry you'llneed to root to get any of these programs that remove apps to work. Think there is a version that doesn't need root but not sure what its limitations are.

I use Titanium Backup but never used the freeze feature. Maybe about time I did!

Just checked and it says in the description for root/non root customers but if the guy above has tried it then doesn't look like it does alot if you're not rooted. As far as not rooting, its about 5 or 6 clicks, honestly couldn't be easier if you follow the steps on the root thread. I was worried but there's nothing to worry about and can't honestly understand how anyone could get it wrong.

If you exercise common sense when doing root, it's a piece of cake

I will try and make a list, but without a device it's hard. I'll start one though.
Great will wait for your post

It's here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13600882#post13600882
The wife & I got our Maxx's last night. After working with it a bit, I think I want to root them to remove bloatware and the locked web pages. I know that stuff doesn't affect performance, but it's annoying to have to scroll past when I'm looking for something else.
From posts here though, it looks like VZW is pushing out the ICS update. So I'm thinking that it might be best for me to wait & get that before I root..
Thoughts?
My razr maxx was already rooted.
I installed voodoo ota rootkeeper from the market.
After protecting my root, i went and performed the download and update.
Once it was finished, i restored my root using voodoo's restore.
Very simple and i still have root access.
I'm not sure about how good/reliable the methods for rooting ics are, but there are plenty of good ones for gingerbread.
It is just a matter of personal preference.

In ICS you can disable the bloat so you wouldn't need to root (although I do suggest it for further customization)

How?
Is there a flashable bloatware remover for Samsung-based ROMs anywhere? Or an application that can do it for me?
I really don't want to go through everything with Titanium because it takes ages, and also some things I don't know if they're safe to remove or not.
I do like the Samsung stuff, but since JB my battery life is **** no matter what ROM I try, so I think it's time to try getting rid of ALL the rubbish that Samsung has installed. And I have tried AOSP/AOKP ROMs but they ain't any better on battery life :-/

Not like you have tons to choose from.
This phone runs smoothly in stock even with all bloatware intact.
Just root.. Remove bloat and add sense 5 toolbox xposed module. You're all set.

Use titanium backup to freeze apps thats enought to remove bloat. You could play around with freezing couple of apps and see if that affects your phone
cool thx for the suggestions!
I used Titanium Backup to rip out every piece of crap that Sprint and HTC felt the need to burden down my One Max with. I said to heck with freezing... Since it was the 1st week I had my phone, I figured if there were any issues I'd just flash my NAND. 8 weeks later, not a single hiccup. Between Nova and Xposed, there's nothing I can think of that I'd even need a custom rom for!

Hi all,
Could a skilled developer please make a Bloatware remover for the S6?
There is sooo much crap that I dont want to have installed, and using a 32Gb unit, I would love to get back 1 Gb.
From S5 I remember we removed easily 900Mb+....
Agreed.

titanium backup remove what you want
I am so happy not to have that utterly useless and stupid evernote. However, I wish they never bundled instagram. Even though I froze it, I still feel like a useless shallow a*shole to even have it on my phone.

It doesn't remove it, just blocks it. If I dont need it, I would like to free up 800-900 Mb of space.
I should have a script I used for my S5, I'll have a look at it to see if I can use it on the S6 with a few mods...
If you are rooted, it can remove apps as well..
