Hey im using GingerDX v10.
For some reason i think the New android market is very slow? it takes a long time to open and stuff. Whereas i remember the old market was very quick at many of those things.
But nevermind about speed what would u guys prefer? The old or new market?

I think that you can uninstall the update only to have it repushed later in Settings>Applications>Manage Apps>Android Market>Uninstall Updates.

I prefer new Android market. It's very good for me I think.
I Think its a little Slow too,but its more "easy" to use,so,i prefer the new one!
The new Android Market is horribly bloated with images. It takes ages to load each page, and loading 'My Apps' takes decades .
A workaround to get the old android market back without autoupdation is posted on this thread, :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1231358&highlight=new+android+market
new market is too slow , prefer old market
Agreed - the new market is far slower than the old one.
When is this new 3.1.3 market being rolled out? Is it faster than the 3.0.7???
Well i recently wrote a tutorial thread on how to get your old market back,, on custom roms you cant just uninstall the update,, search how to get you old market back on the xperia x8 forum,, it should help
try GDX11
it has been launch this day
Latest market is slow and confusing

Actually can't because to the Nero system it thinks the new market is the only market so I didn't update it. Do I can't uninstall updates.
Nero beta 3 + oclf
You can uninstall updates of "market" app, but itll update it self again automatically with next start. Hopeless.. I guess google devs never thought that android users will prefer old look of their app.
Which version is considered old?
So which version is considered old and how can you find out what version someone is currently running?
On the link(s) provided earlier, there are several apk files that are simply labeled Vending.apk, so which one should you choose?

Ive tried this....nothing works, it still auto updates after while....also when try this, it seems to want to push my market to /data/app
Yes, the brand new Market apk that I found on the general apps and games forums is working
It's quite nice I must say (lolWP7ui)
Just install as a normal app.
Make a backup of the original first via Titanium backup just in case!
It is a bit laggy at times though :/
I downloaded the new market this morning from the Samsung Galaxy S2 (I move to that phone in August.) forum and it works good. Like you say, a little laggy, but looks so much better.
I like this.

I usually choose speed over polished GUI. Not this time though.
yes works well looks very nice
I'm probably gonna switch back to the old one...
It's way to laggy q_q
Agreed, looks nice but to laggy on my wildfire however on my Galaxy tab it is fine so good work google! I do like the flicking to switch between different categories similar to the google+ app
Market Looks Gr8...
It looks very nice, and it works fine.
Thanks!
Old (2.3.6) Market for those of you who want to downgrade and didn't make a backup.
(extracted from Ruymanca v7.2 system/app)
I don't seem to have any lag (compared with a Nexus S) unless the images are still loading.
Well yes, that's true, but I still prefer speed over eye candy :/
Link is offline. Can anyone upload it on xda?

Thank you for that, uploaded as attachment.
@nejc121
Is your version comes from WF (Sense - auto update) or just copied from another source and you did not know at what resolution is? I installed from the other site and works terrible, maybe if we have apk from automatic updates it will work better?
It came from another source.
And I don't think the WF will ever get this market....
It would lag too much.
It is far to laggy and fc every time. I used it. Links good when it worked so went back to old one thanks for the uploaded

Not necessary. Even backup of old one is not necessary.
You can just uninstall the updates for market to get back to the original one anytime.
[Thinking everyone will be flashing the newer market as installing from apk file, and not added to the customrom.zip and flashed].
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Seriously, why is everyone saying this is laggy? Once the images have loaded maybe 4 seconds at the most the market is smooth. Are you not overclocked? I would like to see the effects with JIT enabled too, however I am using a sense based ROM (wilpuzzle).
Don't seem to have any lag loving the new market
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
Well I like it! It`s better than the old one. Not as laggy as you said.
This new market drives me crazy i don't even know google did something like that or im wondering paid apps are not available for all countries.
Im from Turkey and for my country latest official rom is KG1 and as other users i want to use KI3 rom to get new features of 2.3.5 so i installed new latest official rom with OXAKI3 csc (Thnx Intratech for roms) anyway i want paid apps and tried almost every way to enable new market..
I tried market enabler, market access and market fix. I almost tried every single US - UK - DE provider.. I tried to change my csc with XGS, XEU and KOR.. Its hopeless..
If someone is able to use market paid apps please help me too.. I know the uninstalling updates and roll back to 2.6 version of market works temporarily until reboot but i don't want that method.. Is there a better way to get paid apps back?
Oh and also i would be glad if u suggest me a provider to fake i mostly use t-mobile-us but i don't like it cos some apps are not available for t-mobile..
Thanks and Regards,
Biohazard
Hi I am from Turkey too and I am having the same market problem. If you want to use KI3 you should flash a custom rom or kernel.

Once the old market is installed, and you run it does it autmatically update them to the new market again?
And also you should link to the original dev.

You can also stop the market updating itself by opening up terminal and typing:
su -
pm disable com.android.vending.updater
You will get a message to say its been disabled. I usually just use route explorer to move a copy of the old market (vending.apk) to system/apps and set permissions, run terminal with the above command and voila! Must say though, it will be nice to see how this installer works, especially if it cuts down on excess finger tapping..
I've never been able to use any of the new markets, its awful. Not sure if there's any weird issues with the internet around here but it was so hard to get anything installed. It could take 20 mins to install a single app, I could have configured my whole phone from scratch in that time!
Good work!

Haha yeah i know what you mean, i had a few problems with some of the new versions as well, just like that but with mine it would never actually install. It would finish the download then say it was corrupt and could not install. Or something along those lines. But the newest one seems to work for me now. The only reason i want an old market is for the old theme of it.
Cheers for the info tho, ill have a look, havent installed this yet, just finished putting Flame.E 0.2 on my mimmi.

But isn't ICS supposed to support all android devices, no matter what size shape or colour lol (correct me if im wrong about this). If that is true then it must be something else that is cause it to be slow? i mean that to me makes sense i dont know about anyone else.

Hey hi guys
The new android market sure is beautiful but our phone simply cannot take that much load,
First I thought overclocking my phone would help me make it faster but turns out its still slow
If you are in same situation, here is the solution :
Download the attachment
Install the file normally
Now go to titanium backup n freeze the updater app
Now while you are still in titanium backup, long click on market n select integrate to os...this would push the app into system
P.S.: The last 2 steps make sure your market wont again update itself to the new slow market.
N yes this requires rooted phone
-Hit Thanks if I have helped you!

You can also remove market updater from gapps before you flash it too.

There's an app called "Old Market" that can do this. It can also revert back to the new one. I find it quite useful!
(Also, on the old market, sometimes my apps download, but not install, why? )
same problem here...
I'm running CM7 and V6 Supercharger with a smartassV2 overclock set to 710 MHz and Market is running like a charm. For those of you that don't have the V6 mod, wiping your DALVIK Cache helps, too.

have a look at Darktremor A2SD Scripts - does require an EXT3 partition on your SD card.
and I also read somewhere that Darktremor is not being supported anymore, can anyone confirm this?
You can just remove updates from Application Manager to revert back to old market.
