How do i know what radio do I have? I flashed to oficial Gingerbread from ATT afterwards I rooted and unlocked my device and now I am at Alien #4 with stock kernel.
Any hint? I wanna flash this kernel and it says i need 1.97 radio so I'm not sure.

Go into phone settings-> about phone and tell us what your baseband. Pretty sure the 1.97 radio comes with alien and stock gb from att.
I have N_01.77.30P as Baseband version
That should be the latest radio.
Great! thanks... I'll flash the kernel and OC away!
I am also thinking about a similar question. My phone is Atrix Asian Retail version. I rooted, unlocked and installed Alien #4 straight out of stock 2.2.2. I saw that my radio is 1.95.
I want a reliable and not too much battery consuming kernel. Can you suggest me which one is the best?
A lot of folks on alien, myself included are running faux123's kernel. I can't tell you if there will be any issues with your experience in your market, but my own anecdotal experience suggests that it is the most popular non stock kernel at the moment.

You should keep your radio. Despite its numbers, this is the latest one.

Hi,
I have a french orange branded Atrix running under ORFR 2.3.4 and will most likely flash RedPill as soon as it gets in V4. I haven't changed the Radio yet, so I'd like to know
1) what radio would fit the best ?
2) is it safe to flash it ?
3) Can Intl and ATT users flash the same radios ?
We're having more and more ROMs but there's not much information about the radios, and I have to say that I'm starting to get lost with all those hardbrick problems...
Thanks for your help
Envoyé de mon Motorola Atrix
First off I'd recommend alien or picrust
But really, I would suggest trying the bell radio here first, then the ATT radio if that does not work.
It is safe to flash the radios found here.

1) Try bell, then ATT (and speedtest). If that fails, use the telestra radio
2) Yes (if it is extracted from an update ie. only 10-30mb in size)
3) Yes
Cheers
Ok I'll try the Bell when I'll flash a new rom. Thanks for the information !
Just want to know...
After you updated your device to OTA 4.5.91 (2.3.4) AT&T , is your radio updated too ?
Thanks.
UP ..........
radio
You get the .91 radio also. So yes, new radio. (even if nothing changes, I heard they give it a new number.)
I am running unlocked 4.5.91, flashed via the SBF, and my Baseband version is N_01.77.30P.
Does that sound right, or do I need to flash something newer (for kernel support, etc; my phone is functioning fine with good cell speeds (5.4mbps down, 1mbps up) and gps lock, and although wifi is slow to start it works)?
Thanks!
Yeah, thats the radio you need to be on, its the at&t GingerBread radio.
OP, you can get just the radio .img here if you want to flash it before doing the OTA udpate (assuming you haven't already done this):

Thanks but already update with Fruit Cakes

I just flashed CM7 Beta and i checked my baseband and its N_01.77.15P (which i am assuming is of Bell Froyo, and i was very much happy with it on froyo)
so should i continue with it (GPS seams to be working fine) or should i flash N_01.77.33P (like i said i dont use data connection at all.
CM7 is based on Gingerbread, and the Bell radio that CM crew recommend is the Gingerbread radio for Bell Atrix.
So you should install this radio
It will give you better performance since you now using Froyo radio with Gingerbread system.
Is anyone having issues with after rooting the Thunderbolt you lose the 4G LTE at the top and stuck with a 1X?
For some reason this is the second Thunderbolt and I'm having the same issues. If anyone can provide some feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Check baseband. When I rooted mine from some reason it wiped my radio. Also make sure the back cover is on tight.
Did you just gain root, or did you also flash a rom? If you flashed a new rom you might need to find the right radio to work with that specific one. I'm new to this as well but what I've gathered from reading, Gingerbread based roms require gingerbread radios to be flashed as well. I think you need MR2 or newer to run with GB based Roms.
Yeah- if you root your Tbolt and are running froyo (which of course you would be unless you got the ota before it was pulled) and then you flash a GingerBread rom - you also have to flash a new radio. Flashing a rom does not change your radio. You have to flash the radio separate. And a GingerBread rom needs a compatible radio.
The latest radio is from the 2.11.605.3 ota. There is a radio thread in the development section. Sometimes they post the LTE radio and the cdma radio separate so you have to flash them both. You flash them in hboot. Not in cwr.
sorry if you knew all that already.
Without going into great detail, my speeds suck (not even getting 1Mb/s) . Does anyone know the most recent, and fastest, radio available for the Atrix(ATT) running 2.3.4 (rooted)?
Thanks in advance

Which radio (baseband) version you have now? I assume the N_01.77.30P version? You can check it by going to Settings>About Phone>Baseband version on your phone.
There are a couple of radios released for the Atrix. If you are on ATT, there is one that has been leaked from the OTA ATT update to GB 2.3.5, which has a newer radio version N_01.77.36P. It seems that people are having good results with that one.
Here is the link to get the .36P version:

36P found in Fruitcakes thread. Latest and greatest. Works very well!
