the RSD program keeps failing, is their another way to load an sbf. the one thing thats out of place is the name, when i plug the device in the RSD program says device is connected but it also says the device name is fastboot, this should instead show the name of the device connected right?

So my phone crashed after flashing a test kernel for Powerwash 1.2. Everything was fine until the phone froze on the camera app and i had to do a battery pull. Now the phone stays stuck on Samsung's logo. I tried going into recovery and doing a reset but it just stayed stuck. So i plug my phone into download mode and prepare to Odin back to EB01 when my computer tells me it doesn't recognize my USB. I go and reinstall the drivers but STILL it wont recognize my phone so I can't Odin OR Heimdall. i'm at a loss... can anyone help?
ANYONE? anyone at all
Sounds like you need a complete reinstall with odin. Keep trying to use download mode. It will eventually recognize your phone just keep trying.

Do you have access to another pc? I would try odin on different machine

Try using different ports installing correct 64 or 32 bit drivers. use stock cable. Try updating your os. And try a different computer.

Or if u can get into cwm put ur sd card inyo something that reads microsd cards like anotger phone or use an adapter then put a different kernal on

The op fixed his problem...dirty usb port.
I try to connect the phone and the pc sounds off to show that is connected but rsd still doesnt recognize it. I am trying to flash back to stock. Someone please help me. What do I do?
EDIT: Issue resolved. I just switched to my home pc and everything worked.

If you have the moto drivers installed. Have you tried rebooting your PC?
Make sure you are putting the phone in RSD mode and try another USB port. Preferably one on the back of the computer if it a desktop.
@mof9336 yes @ronnienyc i do n it is a laptop
okay having flash problems with this phone now :S not sure what to do the phone powers on with
SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0X1000
no OS detected going in to RSD mode
this is fine i can select the boot mode whith the loader but when i load the RSD lite flashing
program i load the 4547-fix-try2.sbf file i downloaded from a thred on teh forums.
i start the flash then it gets to part where is needs bypass mode it will not auto select the
bypass mode it needs, so i CAN select it for the divice then after the BP mode it needs to returen to RSD
Mode however the divice does not reset this time so that i cannot reset the phone RSD mode and
thus the phone flashing fails......
However some times it fails on the BP mode as i select to the wrong one at the end of the day the RSD flash tool is
suposed to do this for me and atm it is not doing so.
so currently i am left with a fancy door stop till i can get some help
is there any one that can offer me some advice on this as i carnt think or find a way arround this...
many thanx guys
Only thing I can think of is make sure you haven't plugged into a USB 3.0 jack, it will cause some flaky reactions to the connection

Try to boot to AP Fastboot mode through the bootloader by pressing (vol up + vol down + power button) power 5 seconds. And choose AP Fastboot mode. Connect it to your PC.

does not work, does not recognize the device.
Use another usb port. If no go, get another PC.
If I understood correct you have a Latam device, if so, you're hard bricked since we don't have an xml firmware ATM.
If so, you must send ur device to Motorola.
Cheers

So i was attempting to originally run a firmware through odin and had auto reboot checked when i shouldnt have.
I now have a tablet that boots up with a back light screen and functions as a normal tablet, but i now have a blank recovery
and i cannot use download mode anymore. ive tried drivers, different computer, the works. No recognition in download mode.
i do not have root and am running 4.0.4
please help :X
Hmmm.
Auto reboot shouldn't have damaged anything in particular. Its exactly as it says - whether you want the tablet to reboot after you've finished flashing a rom.
Just a few questions so that we can help you easier,
-What do you mean by a blank recovery?
-Does the tablet charge via AC? That'll determine whether it is a cable problem or whether it is something else.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
Yes the tablet charges by cable. If I choose recovery option I get a back lit black screen, download mode completely unrecognizable. Currently only boots into standard android.

If u mean that u can go into download mode but can't get a PC to see the device.... I would uninstall the drivers and Odin..reboot PC and reinstall drivers and Odin. Then try. If that doesn't work try a different version of Odin and/or drivers.
I have a Q and A thread with the necessary Odin files and cwm recovery to root the p7510...there is also a link to a qbking77 video.
Good luck...
My problem is I've tried different PCs drivers and Odin files and my tablet still only says waiting for cable in download mode

well then we're down to the old battery drain trick....its been awhile since ive had to tell somebody how to do this....so give me until tomorrow night and ill see if i can find some good links to guides for you...
in the mean time you can google battery drain, bootloader, download mode and just about every other word combination you can think of for this method.....
..... which is to drain the battery to absolute zero...take it out...put it back in...plug the device in...and before the charging screen comes on you need to boot into the bootloader...
i know...sounds crazy, but ive seen it work time and time again...now those werent the exact steps...but i thougbt you would .eed atleast some sort of over view if you are going to go google hunting with me..lol
Same problem
I've the same problem. I'm trying to install Android in a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the download mode has "waiting for usb cable". Odin doesn't recognize it, adb doesn't either. The tablet doesn't have an OS. Tried several usb cables, computers. It doesn't have an sd card slot to install from there.
I'm really at lost here , please help
