Is cm7 glitch both latest work with chainfire3d

I tried it with Glitch v11 and an older CM7 (7/21 I believe) and it worked fine. Just test it out, these phones are unbrickable. If you have problems (which I doubt you will) just Odin back and restore from backups, which you should make before installing chainfire just to be safe.

I am new to this so I need help. Got impatient with verizon a few weeks back and downloaded and flashed my phone with Odin using ED01 build of Froyo for Verizon Samsung Fascinate. Everything was great, the phone was rooted and had CWM Voodoo lagfix recovery 2.5.1.x. Verizon releases Froyo finally and I decided to flash my phone back to Verizon Stock using DL09-leak zip. It loaded fine and starts fine. The only thing is now my phone is stuck with zero memory showing in the internal memory. I can't add apps or do anything. There isn't even enough memory to keep the initial setup setting. I have to enter them each time the phone is powered up. Someone tell me how to fix this problem. There are no apps on the phone above stock apps. I even backed up my SD card and reformatted it to be sure there was nothing on it mucking up the system. Same result.
Had Nandroid backups which when restored had lost apps from previous and also no memory. Can't even download terminal emulator to do command lines, even if I understood them.
It's a voodoo problem. Flash DI01 full Odin package and it will be fixed.

Had the same issue. Used the D101 and fixed. Since then re-rooted and running the cm7 rom and kernels. Kept the d101 in my computer with odin just in case.

So to start off, i was having some issues with not being able to make a nandroid. I was getting bad boot image errors. I had tried everything from atlas pit with fresh stock, to the new gb, and now comrom 2.0/2.1 with the non voodoo setup. I was recently downloading some new kernels to try and really wanted to try them out. So i tried pbj -50v, flashed via cwm red, still unable to perform nandroid. Saw kernel flasher lite on market and tried to flash via it, failed. Downloaded pbj sv, tried flashing it via sgs kernel flasher, success kinda, it failed to perform reboot as app stated it was doing. Used tsm power mod to boot into recovery. It came up yellow and as v3.2.0.0! This is new to me as i had been out of the root scene due to a faulty micro usb port, as i was only able to achieve dl mode and recognition of phone in odin once and immediately stocked it and ota'd thru the months. Finally got vzw to send me a refurb running ed04. I immediately installed cwm, failed nandroid. Tried ec09 &then nameless 4.1until it borked my sd. That's when i popped in my my old bb storm sd and started on my quest as stated above.
Anyone know what i did, lol?
*Forgot to mention that i was able to do a nandroid in the yellow cwm. Yay!

I called flash mananger lite by the wrong name above. I called it kernel flasher lite by mistake.

Yellow cwm is specific to the pbj kernels

Hi. I had a similar (I think) problem. I had CWM 2.5.1, and was getting a date of 2000-1-1 on repeated attempts to backup. Tried 3.0.2.8, but the backup image failed immediately. Someone replied to a post I made and said that he had the same problem, which was fixed by enabling voodo. I assumed that meant I had to flash a voodo kernel in order to enable voodo. So, knowing that I probably want to flash Evil Fascination, I flashed imnuts' 531 -100uv voodo kernel and booted into recovery. Wasn't expecting what i saw - Yellow CWM 3.2.0.0. Different. Ran a buckup, and...Success! Checked the clockworkmod folder on SD, and there is a backup file with the correct date.
I was evidently getting the date error. Looked in my sd and there were at least 4 folders labeled as you mentioned. I'm on otb1.6 now, as i couldn't get the voltage control app to work on pbj -50. I'm currently on cwm red and doing valid nandroids as well. I've been running stable at 1.4ghz on demand setting. Got a 1917 quadrant this morning. Finally happy. Doing little visual tweaks now.

Anyone know if I can restore a CWR backup after changing the bootloader and kernel? I went to a GB Rom and now I want to go back to my Bionix backup. Both are Voodoo Ext4.
Since over 9000 people have said, reported, experienced that the boot loaders are backward compatible. You will be fine. Enjoy you more convenient button combos.
Beware of angry gingerbread man
I'm more worried about the kernal difference and CWM backup. I guess I could always re flash the original kernal if it loops.
What I reccomend is to odin back to stock then restore your nandroid .i use this method alot of the time
Thsnks buttom if I hepled

Im rather curious if the Nandroid backup contains the bootloaders as well.
Anyone know?

I thought about this and it seemed a bit rash. Although it would be the most thorough and probably yield results most like the original settings.

nandroid doesn't touch bootloaders, kernel or modem for vibrants. (i don't think nanadroid touches anyone's bootloader tbh)
Hello, I am using CheckROM HD V.6 and I like it very much. However whenever I try a new kernel, although installed correctly, when I try download something from google market, it gives me an error that cannot be installed.
To make it workable again, I have to wipe everything and reinstall CheckROM.
Can I avoid this? I hear people flush/update new kernel very often, but I face this bug when I update the kernel.
Are you rooted and got CWM?
If so then have you tried using Goo Manager which can let you download the latest version of Gapps to be installed through CWM.
Hope this helps

I have a Vibrant that has a KB5 modem, Glitch 1.3.1 Kernel, and CM-7 (2.3.7) stable. After a fresh install of CM7, my bluetooth won't pair (or find for that matter) any devices. I have checked with another phone and the paired to devices work fine. Everything else works great. Good mobile data , wifi, and phone reception. Just the bluetooth doesn't seem to be picking up anything. It is possible I might have restored something from another rom accidentally, but I froze what I thought might be an issue as well as was very careful (or at least I thought I was) on the restores. I also forgot to wipe cache before the install. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave
I'm not familiar with cm7 stable release but I would first start by doing a full wipe clean flash.

Did a full wipe, and cache clean, reinstall of cm7 and back to the kernel that comes with cm7 and the problem still exists.
