Hi guys,
I have been using mik_os's ROM for a while, and everything has been great! However, because my office has poor cell phone signal, I find that wifi calling is a very important feature for me. So I am wondering if you have any recommendation for a stable ROM which is compatible with wifi calling. Thanks so much for reading my thread, I appreciate your help!
btw, I am using Optimus T from T-mobile.
Kind regards
You have to use a froyo rom until Tmo releases official GB for us so we could grab the kineto files.

Thanks! Any recommendations for 2.2 rom?Do I also need to install wifi calling myself after flashing a 2.2 rom? If so, where can I find the APK file? Thanks so much!
I would recommend devoid# froyo-final. Great ROM with pretty much useless stuff removed. As for wifi calling you can download a flashable zip here:

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to enable wifi calling on mik's cm7?
It was an option on the original froyo build.

would like to have that one myself
I've been using his build for awhile now, but I cant post in the dev thread, even though some really dumb posts wind up in there.
Maybe someone will see this and mention in the dev thread.
I know that josephmothers rom Ubuntodroid has the t-mobile wifi calling built into it.
That rom is so much better than stock. I tried out the CM7 beta 3 here and the lack of wifi calling makes me cry when I have to reinstall Ubuntudroid.
CM7 is the most versatile rom out, yet it doesn't support wifi calling such as the LG P509 T stock rom

anyone know if this would work?>
So I've been using gb ROMs for a while ever since they got to be stable enough for daily use and the one thing that I've noticed at least for me is that the wifi doesn't work, which is a bummer because I use wifi constantly at home. The two ROMs I've used claimed that the wifi works but it Just doesn't for me. I've used both J's and R's gb ROMs. They both say authenticating when connecting to a wifi network but thats as far as they get. I'm also using the custom kernel 008 if that helps at all.
So pretty much is there an easy fix for this or am I just out of luck?
If I am correct, that specific custom kernal you are using at the moment wont let you use wifi. R's Rom if you are referring to Rendeiro2005 I know his wifi works since I used it without the custom kernal before.

Hi all
I am new to the samsung t959
Any recommendation for ROM? I would like to be as fast as possible, and with a working GPS
Thanks a million!
Well its all preference really
I didn't try this one but I will soon this one looks really fast from the video and GPS should work it is a froyo based rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=973208
Or you can use other roms and try different kernels also to over clock but do you research first to be sure which kernel suits you best if you were to change it.
Here is the development threads with all the roms look through them and see which one fits your needs http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=711
Good luck! and remeber always backup everything before flashing and make sure your phone is not hardware locked.

When you say new to the vibrant, what do you mean?
Is your phone a t959, t959v, t959d, etc?
Is your phone the sgs 4g or the regular vibrant? These are important things to know before we guide you.

Hey forum
Im new to this and wanna know whats the best rom for the 3g version of this tab
Thx in advance
Using overcome experience rom. Works like a charm with my Telia tab You can also try the persoot kernel if you fancy that.
is there a reason some roms only works with wifi?

Yeah, I have a wifi only tab model P7510 so it has its own builds. So I can use wifi only Roms. If you try the same roms you'll lose the 3G capability. So look out for build KME and wifi only in the rom name since those are going to lose the 3G for you.

Can i get a link??
Yes, I read the thread about how pissed you get when you read "which rom is best" from an idiot newbie like me. I'm not asking which is best. That's too general.
I want the aosp rom with good working 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wifi and GAPPS. I want dependable sms/mms, able to answer and hang up from phone calls, battery life better than stock. I don't care about netflix.
I would like vzw/vvm to work but not a dealbreaker.
We can narrow down the choices to mini bamf, cm7, or the latest liquid aosp rom if you like.
Which one just works?
I've been using Th3ory for the longest. Try dhacker's version 2.8
Should be everything you're looking for.

I have heard that OMFGB is a great one, I talked to the developer more than a few times about it even tho I don't use it. He has a long track record making the same Rom and porting it to different devices.
If I helped you in any way please use the thank you button
I'd really like to hear from folks who have been using an aosp Rom long enough to know its flaws. Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. Neither of those roms had occurred to me. Now I have 5 to pick from!
Signature says it all...
My name is Revos I'm a recovering flashaholic running Liquid Gingerbread 3.0
Either OMFGB or SHIFTAO5P will be your best bets! I use SHIFT, and have been for quite a while, only flashing to others just to see if they can beat it!
Anybody try the new build 16 cm7? I'm curious if the blietooth static problem is gone?
Does verizon vvm work on any aosp rom?
Th3ory is rock solid, the other one I would recommend is below

CM7 is awesome on the Tbolt. Well -as awesome as this awful phone can get.
#1 bug - location problem. It is easily fixed but the fix is not baked in bc it involves "borrowing" the HTC location.apk from the 2.11.605.3 leak/pulled ota.

How about your bluetooth audio quality? I am accustomed to Bluetooth connection in car for hours every day and I need to hear and be heard clearly.
Does vzw vvm work?

bluetooth audio sounds perfect to me.
no vzw vvm; no aosp rom has it. it's only possible on sense roms.

I'm pretty sure that only fixes.network location not gps location.
A lot of posters wrote about static in bluetooth or not able to bluetooth connect to car. No vzw vvm. No nfl mobile. I don't know what else.

1. No that is not all you do. Sorry. Let me find the link for the detailed set of instructions. And this is for location - not navigation.
Fix network location on CM7
2. I have never had problems with actual GPS - if you do have GPS problems - you know - navigation - the solution is to get a solid lock on GPS from your Sense rom before you flash CM7. If you have already flashed CM7 -create a nandroid backup. Flash back to Sense. Get a GPS lock. Restore nandroid. ? Profit.
Anyone know if xfinity app and hbo go app work in this rom?
Liquid liquid liquid

Have you tried the fix?
Use Rom Manager *The latest version of my suggestion is only accessible this way*
Look at "Unofficial CyanogenMod 7 Builds" by ProTekk in the Download ROM section.
Grab the latest version (Build 20 as of OCT28) and enjoy. This rom works great for me with Tiamat's latest kernel and the 0906w_ radios. You will need to perform the location fix each time you flash an update but the rom is smooth and gives you all the CM7 perks and extras
