is ur phone rooted ?
If yes, recovery installed?
if yes, reinstall ur fav ROM.
Follow the dev's instruction (means clean wipe) and this is a less trouble methode.
And for re install, use the flash tool...

Ok buddy, The flashtool is a tool which u need to install in your PC.
Also download the 2.1 firmware from below link
http://www.mediafire.com/?sqv6274anzfzn2x
Now u will get a .ftf file, place this file in ur firmware folder of the flashtool
now, open the flash tool and click on flash.
You will see the 2.1 firmware version.
Now take out the battery from ur phone, connect ur USB cable first to ur PC and then to ur phone (battery still not inserted).
Now press the back button (dont release it) and insert the phone's battery.
U should be seeing the green LED and now watch the flash tool window...
Follow the instructions in the flashtool window.
Remember, this is just to install the 2.1 firmware
Once its installed, u can root ur phone and install xrecovery, (if u feel u need a root).
Hope this helps.
PM me if any help required....

Mmmm heard this all before who does the phone belong to

I guess its not our place to question things like these but I knew someone who literally stole a phone and flashed it over because he was a techy and had the "know how"
its just ridiculous that you would forgot the pattern lock, the secret question and the google account info...

[Q] Help! Downgrading from Free X10?

Hey guys, can anyone help me out here?
I downloaded and installed My Free X10 Beta 4.. I'm pretty sure I did everything properly but it left me with one problem, it wasn't letting me enter the SIM card pin and therefore wouldn't receive signal, causing it to reboot constantly..
I've tried changing the SIM lock on startup off but to no avail - I only get errors..
Since nothing else is working I want to downgrade back down to the Stock 2.1 version, can anybody help me? Much appreciated, thanks.
If u made a backup before u did the flash then u can restore the backup but u probably didn't lol... so u have to flash 2.1 Alltel over again
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Actually I did, using the Backup and Restore app thingy, how do I restore it from there? Thanks!
If you used the SE backup and restore app then that won't be any use - it only backs up content, not Firmware..
Your best course of action is probably to try doing a repair using SEUS, or use flashtool to flash a standard SE ROM.
You know I was considering trying out Titanium Backup.. Too late now!
So I should just trying update in SEUS as normal and see what happens from there?
Sorry I'm such a noob. -.-
Yes - plug into SEUS and it will either say that you have the latest firmware, or will try to update your phone.. if it says that you have the latest firmware then you should be able to select the "repair" option...
If SEUS doesn't let you re-install the firmware then you'll need to reflash a standard ROM first.
Thanks for your help so far, you're a lifesaver
I'll try that now and get back to you when its done!
Ummmm. Not good, ran through SUES fine but its not working at all...
The phone starts up with the SE name and symbol then shuts down straight away?!

give it another flash using SEUS mate, occasionally there are problems when flashing a ROM.
If you are keen, you could use the flash tool that binary has posted. Pick the appropriate ROM package from his list, start the flasher batch file, restart the phone in flash mode and wait a few minutes.
binary's tool lives here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825201 and another thread with more info is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10738467
Good luck and have patience - you cannot kill the x10 so it wont boot so you will be ok
Thanks mate, you've actually calmed me down now. It could be a late night but i'll figure this out.
Well if u had made that backup with xrecovery u would have been okay!
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Go into the SEUS and use the repair function,It will reset the phone and give you the latest firmware.
Then use the XDA flash tool to re root it,Worked great for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965202
Sorry was away from the computer yesterday..
Well a new problem, the phone isn't staying on long enough to connect to SUES.. All the stuff in them other posts about Binary is going in one ear out the other, so to say.
Can you get into flash mode at all for SEUS?
If not, try taking the battery out, then connect the USB cable, hold down the back button, and replace the battery.
Beta 4 does not work on all devices
Hi,
in order to get back a working X10 just flash the beta3. I've had the same problem and flashed the beta3 (plus Google Applications) and afterwards it worked well
Regards
Stefan
Okay, all this stuff is confusing me, try talk in noobish terms I dont understand this flashing and stuff..
I'm upto the stage where I have the flasher, just how do I flash the software onto it? Thanks for your help so far guys..
Actually, ignore it, I managed to repair it with SUES and i'm back on 2.1 I think i'll think twice before installing Betas again! Cheers for all your help guys!!

Help please Hard Brick ???

Hello

i've previously installed a CWM
restart in recovery
wiped data/reset factory
wiped battery
wiped all ...

and now my phone doesn't goes to recovery and all i get is a black screen whit "Sony Ericsson" legend
please some help.
i post here, because i haven't permissions to post in the developer forum asking for help in the thread
sorry about my bad english
Did you unlock your bootloader using Flashtool?
You also need the latest version of nAa kernel installed.
Thanks for the answer
I didn't unlock my bootloader using Flashtool i haven't do that before and didn't read the installing instructions for doing that my fault
and didn't installed nAa kernel, because i think didn't need to install the kernel obligatorily
is anything i can do to solve this problem ??
You do need the nAa kernel to run MiniCM7, it just won't work without it. Next time you think about installing a rom, make sure you read all the instructions first. Especially if you're using custom kernels as that's a good way to give your phone a real hard brick.
What you've got is a soft brick. The phone still works, it just doesn't work as a phone. A hard brick is when your phone doesn't do anything at all. Which is bad.
All you need to do is download and use Sony Ericsson Update Service. This updates your phone to the latest, official firmware. If it complains that you already have it, choose the option to reinstall it anyway.
This will wipe all the data on your phone, but not your sdcard, so you'll lose your contacts, sms's, etc but you backed up anyway, didn't you?
thanks Ticklefish for the answer
i did that and now i've my phone back =D
Mine wont do that :-/
When i follow your steps Ticklefish i cant connect to the phone. it pops up with a message that tells me to pull down the status line which i cant because i only gets to the Sony Ericsson boot logo.
Got any tips for me?

flashing is really simple and it took me just 15 minutes a few hours ago to flash .58 fw.
so here it goes.
first, you need to download .58 fw here http://depositfiles.com/files/1inil87p7
then download flashtool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
after you downloaded both of that, install the flashtool to your computer. then put the .58 fw that you just downloaded to c:/program files/flashtool/firmwares
means that i recommend to save flashtool on c:/program files.
after you have done that. backup all needed things such as maybe your messages, contacts or maybe apk files using super backup for both messages and contacts and titanium for backing up apk.
after you done that, open flashtool, connect your devices to the computer using usb cable, then flashtool will automatically recognises your phone it will say 'connected devices: SK17'.
then click on the flash thunder icon and choose flashmod, then you will see the .58 fw that you just downloaded earlier. then i recommend you to leave wipe data and cache checked or maybe up to you. because last time i unchecked wipe data and cache i cant root my phone after so thats why i ask u to backup things. and press ok. wait like 1 minute then it will ask you to unplug usb cable, switch off your phone. while your phone switched off, hold down the volume button, plug in devices using usb cable to your computer and power on your device, then you will see flashtool will start flashing.
after flashing is done, unplug the usb cable and switch on your phone then BOOM! you are now on .58 fw. then just simply root it using doomlord zergrush method and thats it.
if you a little bit confuse just follow these steps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
You can use flashtool: http://androxyde.github.com/ (PM me if you can't download).
I would suggest you to jump on FreeXperia mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226715 as it is way better than stock, and it makes your phone rooted. Hovewer, you need unlock your bootloader.

oh, benefits of unlocking bootloader is that you can use custom roms and custom kernels, you can even flash custom kernel that can root .62 im not sure check it out somewhere on android development section.
and afaik, if you unlock bootloader you will not get any official updates from se such as in the future the ice cream sandwich updates but im not completely sure

You can always relock your bootloader and update but you can't get back DRM rights...which is not a big issue...so what if track id don't work, there are better similar apps like soundhound. Also there is a method which unlocks bootloader without losing DRM but never test it

1. Unlocking bootloader will stop you from updating through SE official method. But i'm sure you can always flash the firmware using flashtool when the update is available
2. Unlocking bootloader DOES NOT do any harm as far as i'm concern(but void the warranty! If i'm not mistaken). The only way you can damage it is by using third party software/firmware.. Let say you unlock the bootloader > use custom kernel > overclock it like crazy till it melts.

Yes. Hold down the volume down button keys for mini pro.
You need to do this after you selected your chosen firmware to flash and click ok.
Then you will see a pop up telling you to unplug the USB cable, switch off phone.
Then hold down the volume down, while doing that, plug in your USB cable to your computer and switch on your phone. Don't let go of holding the volume down button yet!
Wait till you see on the flashtool start flashing then it's ok to release the volume down button and that's where the magic started.
No you don't need to unmount your sd card, it will not remove/ delete anything from your sd card except applications or games that are saved on your sd card which is not a big deal you can download it again later or make a backup of its apk.
Hope I help ya

[Q] Rooting Neo .62 for newbie

I still don't know about any rooting process and there was a lot of instructions I can't understand. Almost all of them are in shortcuts. I tried searching but almost all of it was too much complex for me. Computer illiterate here. >_<
I tried rooting my phone when it was still .42 using the one with zergrush. And now I updated my phone via PCC the root was gone. And I can't seem to root again via same method.
I downloaded things I saw here like the flash tool, fast boot, cwm and I don't gave a single clue how to use them right and there was this OTA or OTE updating to .62 which I don't understand what it is. I'm afraid I may do something bad to my phone.
Is there a way to root my phone again without unlocking the bootloader? Seems like on some of what I understand you have to unlock it, to use fastboot, flashtool or CWM. But I'm afraid to do it. Can you help me with the clearest instruction on how can I root my phone again? Thanks. And sorry for being ignorant with this things >_<
hello
you could flash .42 with wotanserver and root it, after that, update phone on phone! not pc companion, root will not stay. if you have unlocked bootloader, try this:

root should stay, if you ota
Why creating new thread? I see you already know much, so that means you read some threads, so why starting new one in stead of replying in existing one?
OTA update is Over The Air update, meaning you need to use update center option in your setttings->about phone, not using pc companion or seus.

1) better to bump older thread(even though I'm sure it was already bumped ) than to create new thread, because that way you spread information on more places, instead of one place
2)fastboot mode: phone turned off, while holding menu, key connect cable, blue LED should turn on.
3)flashmode: phone turned off, while holding back key, connect cable, green LED should go on.
4)CWM can be installed even on locked bootloader, but you need to have root to install CWM
5)how to enter CWM? that depends on CWM, on some you need to press repeatedly back key while booting, some pressing volume-, on some you need to tap on screen.
6)you can flash any fw, whether you use flashtool(link to tutorial) and flash .ftf file, or using wotan-server(easier for new guys)

thanks a lot! now everything is clear to me. So I can flash .62 instead of doing the OTA right?
sorry I didn't know that it's better to bump old threads here for in other forums they got all that angry when someone bumped an old thread. Thanks again!

No!
Not if you wanna have root, and keep your bootloader locked.
As you already noticed(by your experience) you can't root .62. So flash .42, root, and do OTA update.

well, that depends on forum this one is really big, and it's hard to find information if there are million threads about same thing.
on some other, smaller forums, they let new peoples to create new thread for their problems.
but still, even if you bumped some threads here, it wouldn't be a big bump, since threads aren't so old here.
Oh god! Good thing I visited this again before downloading the .62 tft file! Thanks again!
And thanks, now I know, I'll just bump other threads if I have questions again.

Help with Huawei Mate 10 FRP Blocked

Greetings family I hope you are having an excellent day. I commented update my mobile by repack to the beta of EMUI 9. Following this I left the bootloader unlocked and I see the typical orange letters every time you rebooted the phone, for me it is a bit annoying, so I decided to return to EMUI 8 since repack, now I'm finding that the pc only recognizes my mobile in fastboot, but when it's time to put it in recovery mode it does not recognize me, I already tried applying the patch for Windows 10 in the registry editor, I already tried changing PC and nothing, reading on the Internet I found that I have the FRP blocked and that I can not make any modification that is to say (use fastboot, 3rd programs to modify the system, update etc). If someone has experienced something similar and if they have found a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. regards.
