Whats improved on gb jvq roms and what makes them better from jvp roms?
Are they faster? Improved? More conservative on battery? or are they just based on a new gingerbread leak?
Since I flashed JVQ my my battery seems better than JVP and it seems faster and less laggy
Its just been improved overall I think

All of the above. They are faster, better, and better on batter life. Why? Because they are based on a new GB leak.

thanks guys
Any suggestions for a stable rom and kernel for battery life? I need everything to work so probably need to stick with gingerbread. Thanks!!
Stock EH03. I've done a decent amount of reading about this topic and from what I understand RFS (default galaxy s file system, versus ext4 or mtd) consumes the least amount of power. Also, performance in EH03 is noticeably improved compared to the Froyo or Eclair builds on my device. Combined with full functionality I'd say its your best bet, unless you want to buy an extended battery.

If you didn't have to stick with gingerbread a dj05 ROM is far superior in battery life imho..

I'm currently running v1.5 of the unofficial rom and I was wondering if anyone has found a sweet spot with the overclocking tool to where you still get better than stock performance but the battery life doesn't take a hit either.

The only reason i stayed with my phones custom rom is because of its stability and cool functions. I have tried cyanogen mod 10 before but it was buggy but really made my phone faster and saved more battery. But i went back because of the bugs and features of my stock rom. So i was wondering which rom would bring out the best out of my S3 in terms of speed, battery saving, functionality and stabilty?? Thanks!
