If you're rooted, you can use a custom kernel. HTC hasn't released the source for the 2.3.4 kernel though. You can look at the nolights kernel thread based on 2.3.3 to get an idea or see if someone can compile a custom kernel for you once HTC releases the source.

There's a value somewhere in the sys folder (waaay down in there) that should allow for changes to this, not sure of any specifics; PM a dev if you don't get a response in here they might be able to help out.

O yea..it work beautifully...now..if only someone could come along with the skills to work magic to fix the other common issues with CM7...then this would be perfect
I couldn't use CM7 before cause volume was too low to hear anyone...now..I can seriously consider using CM7 has a daily driver.....
AWESOME work!!
Actually man, could you do this to jt's vanilla gb kernel cause I can't stand the color changes in Glitch? Thanks again for your hard work.

Boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache. Always solves the problem the times its happened to me.
But OT, this kernel makes MIUI and CM7 usable as a daily driver finally. All MIUI needs is to fix the video recording and its my permanent rom. CM7 I find no issues with whatsoever that I'm aware of or experienced except call audio. Great job on the fix to this huge issue. You'll get a donation from me once my paycheck goes through OP.

Until Efpophis or Glitch modify the 90screenstate so that the governor can be changed to user's liking, here is a flashable zip with modified 90screenstate module. This will let you change the CPU governor when the screen is on instead of it changing to ondemand everytime. On the other hand, if your screen is off, your governor will be set to conservative, to save your battery, only when the screen goes off. You don't have to wipe cache or anything, just flash from your CM7 recovery.
Also for people who are complaining about the colors, here are my settings that you can start with. I'm not saying these are the perfect settings, but I think I have it pretty darn close. Black is pure black, white is white, and colors are poppy. I have my screen brightness pretty low, so the colors may be too bright if you have the screen brightness up high.
Color multipliers:
Red = 3149642880
Green = 3149642880
Blue = 3681400640
RGB Gamma hack:
Red = -30
Green = -34
Blue = -30
Is there a way to change the light levels for the touch capacitive buttons (Home, Menu, Back, Search)? My search button has ways been dimmer than the others ever since the first boot.

open root explorer....
navigate to this directory...
/sys/devices/platform/leds-pm8058/leds/button-backlight/
in that directory there is a system file named "currents"... long press that file, edit, change value to 20, save and exit.
your brightness should be adjusted to max on your LED buttons. you can adjust that value from 0-20... 0 being off.
Use leedroid tweaks and set them on-the-fly.
If I use LeeDroid's tweaks will it change whenever I flash to a new ROM?

actually, flashing a new ROM will completely get rid of lee droid tweeks... unless the new ROM includes it.
and no, it won't stick. touch keys are controlled at the kernel level unless modified after boot. kernel = power output/management in android
Then why is only the Back button dim compared to the others? This should've been corrected whenever I flashed the first ROM a couple days ago. It's been like this since I got the phone back in August.

Use keyboard backlight controller, free from the market. Problem solved.

I was just about to say the same thing, if you get the Kernel Tuner app you can change that, plus a whole bunch of other stuff
I'm gettng the same results with kernel tuner as when editing in Root ex. Lights do turn on but stay on even after locking screen.

If you want more battery,
Disable all animations, keep brightness at its minimum level, disable auto-sync, disable haptic feedback, disable 'touch sounds' etc.
I am making StockLite v7 now. It'll have even more battery and it'll be faster than v6.

I've already done that except for the auto-sync xD. I calibrated the battert yesterday and i'm waiting for it to discharge. My stock rom at the beginning consumed more battery and then a little lower so i supposed must be something similar with custom roms.
And it's not hot.

I disabled 3G, haptic and sound, the brightness is on automatic.
Other than that I didn't touch anything and the battery is very good, the ROM runs very smoothly.
Don't have any problem with that 'hot bug' either.
StockLite is awesome
And apparently tj will post a ICS theme in the near future so that's pretty cool.

Just WOW Keep up the good work, man.
EDIT : I just have a question. Since I've installed StockLite there's a steering wheel icon appearing in the status bar.
Apparently that's the car dock icon,but it appears randomly. So my question is, how do I get rid of that ? Since I can't send email or sms when it's on, it's kinda annoying.

my battery also get hot very hot when using 3g and sometimes when i wake up in morning its super hot. without using it.

Hey guys. I've been using CM10 nightlies forever. I've been patiently waiting for a fix (if any) on the LED issue. So whats happening is after a fresh flash all notifications have a steady no pulse LED on which I don't want. I want it to be green and pulse. So I changed the setting to normal pulse in Display>LED settings but now it pulses red/orange instead of green. So I can't tell if my battery is dieing or I have a notification. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
