I just rooted my phone using the instructions using CF-Root and now have CWM.
I backed-up using the back-up option in cwm...now i cant find the backup file on the phone...i want to copy the backup to my pc.
I tried searching for the file name...windows isn't able to find the file.
Please can anyone tell me where the backup might be ?
Please Help.
Regards,
In the clockworkmod map.

Hi
Tried to find a similar thread but failed so I ask here.
I have a 10.1 Wifii & 3G
Did a full backup with Rom manager before doing anything.
Upgraded to overcome ROM 2.
Realized that there was no Swedish language in the ROM, so I decided to go back to the backed up ROM instead.
When I choose Restore in the Rom manager menu, my restore is there and it looks like it is working. It reboots, it checks the files, applies all img and other files, BUT. When it's done it just sits there on the Overcome CwM Recover v5.1.2.6. It feels like it never gets done? I also tried to do a restore from inside the nandroid menu but same thing. I also tried to wipe several time, but same thing. If I try to reboot the 10.1, it gets stuck on the splash screen.
SO, my question.
I really want to keep my data on the sdcard...
Scared of doing the restock on teamovercome homepage because it says
-"IT WILL ALSO WIPE OUT YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE!"
Is there any tips anyone can give me. Is this because my old ROM had different(older) boot files or something?
Please help
Lasse
Try installing CWM 4.0.0.4 using Odin and restore the backup and see if it works.
A small advice: Don't use ROM Manager for creating backups and restoring. Always do from the CWM directly. ROM Manager usually messes up the things

You can use the paid version of Titanium Backup.
It can restore individual apps+data from CWM backups
After searching through this forum and the internet for about an hour for a solution to this problem, I decided my best option was to post a new thread (I'm very sorry if there is another exactly like it; I wasn't able to find it). I own a t-mobile G2x (I don't think that's important but anyway). I recently decided to switch to a new custom ROM from the one I was using because I wanted to try miui. I used titanium backup to create a zip file containing a backup of my phone and the app (a guide to backing up and restoring told me to do this). The file (TitaniumBackup-4.7.0.zip) I saved on my computer and once I did a clean wipe and installed the ROM, I tried to install the zip file using CWM by going to install zip from from sdcard and selecting the zip. When I did this, I got the message:
E:Error in /sdcard/TitaniumBackup-4.7.0.zip
(Status 0)
Installation aborted.
How to I restore my data from this file? I appreciate any help.
If I'm not mistaken, your zip file = after you pressed backup, it will make the apps into zip. If this is what you meant by, it won't work. The zip only contains the program. You have to install titanium backup, then use the backup and restore option in the app to restore your file.

I have run a search and surprisingly did not find my particular question..
How do I make a backup (image?) of my phone as it stands now...
I flashed a rom, everything is working to my liking and have backed up all my apps and settings via TB.
Is it possible to have a backup sitting on my PC that I can just flash with Odin or CWM that will restore my phone to how it is right now? Similar to a PC image?
Thanks in advance!

Just make a nandroid backup using cwm and copy those backup files located in "clockworkmod " folder in SD card to your PC. Whenever you need to restore it back just copy back the files to.the same location and restore it via cwm.

Due to my phone wifi grey out issue, i made a backup using cwm recovery before i do anything that can solve the issue including factory reset. After backing up the file to my external storage card, i updated my firmware to 4.2.2 jellybean which had solved my wifi issue. Now the problem is that, how do i restore back my backup data which i had done with cwm recovery. My external sd card now have clockworkmod folder in it what should i do? and which version of odin and CF ROOT should i download? PLS HLP!

You don't restore data from one OS build to another .
But if you want to try you can choose advanced restore data only .
Any odin any CF root but use the same CWM as you backed up with .
Basic stickied faqs and guides are still free read them .

meaning that if i want back all my data including phone contacts, the only way to restore them is by downloading back 4.1.2 firmware to my phone and then root it with CF root then restore data using cwm recovery? Thanks anyway!

Titanium backup is what you're looking for, you can use the. xml method to restore call logs txt etc
Don't restore system data but apps /data should be fine
What you could do is restore your nandroid, run titanium, reflash, then restore

If you still have the NANDROID backup from CWM than you can try ADVANCED RESTORE from CWM.
Go to Advance Restore and just restore the DATA from the nandroid backup.
It will just restore your data but it will not change your OS 4.2.2 But IT MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME FORCE CLOSES as the data that you backed up is from 4.1.1 or 4.1.2. But it is worth try. If it doesnt work than you can flash the whole backup again anyways... Hope it works...

Hi All,
Can anyone help me restore a "data.crypt" file? I've re-flashed the firmware via Odin and backed up everything and forgot this important file which is the data file for my "Awallet" app.
Is there a file recovery app which I can use? Suggestions?
