It's just beeping to let you know you're on the airave. There's no way to turn it off or at least if there is idk about it.

if you are constantly 'roaming' and all your calls and data happen when 'roaming' they can terminate your service....they wont be upset, but you will be some people do it on purpose so VZW cancels their contract

In queens new york and as of 9 22 am I cannot connect to the internet and my phone is showing 3G. Try to connect to 4G and the phone will not. Anybody having the same problem?

Just had a similar issue way upstate, too. (Near Watertown, NY). 3G was showing connected, constantly trying to upload. I turned off mobile data for about 15 minutes and then when I turned it back on it connected correctly.
Could be a rolling update to the VZW system. Give it 15-30 minutes and it should be back up.

I can't connect in Springfield, MA right now...but my co-workers can. They are both running Droid X's, but I have a Tbolt with BAMF 1.5. Rebooted, cycled airplane mode a few times and I still cannot connect...

I rebooted several times as well. Just turn off mobile data (can still get voice calls/texts) and wait like half an hour, then try turning mobile data back on.
If you still can't get data, turn it back off and wait another half hour.
Anybody having problems...are you guys on the new radio? What's your config (Rom, Kernel, Radio...)

NYC, down all day. Called cs they were useless but data popped back up a couple of hours ago. I don't know about you guys but my data is so sporadic I hop on WiFi out of necessity whenever available.
This worked like a charm for my problem! Wasn't getting 3g and I wasn't in a 4g area. Should fix it for anyone.

After I successfully got s off on my phone and my wife's phone, when I first make a call it connects to sprint to activate the radio. My question is am I gonna have to do this every single time I flash a new rom or no? Just curious is all.
I doubt it, it probably has to do with cracking the bootloader. That's probably where the exploit was.
I have s off and root. No problems so far with tibacup, texts or calls. And I've yet to be connected to sprint pre call

Same here rooted and can receive/make calls/text without needing to contact sprint.
Your handset prolly failed the handsfree activation after you unlocked it so it dialed sprint for activation
It's Sprints new enhanced security. The rep on the phone told me it could be activated by a few things including hands free activation the phone battery getting low going out of service area. I didn't tell her I rooted of course.

If you are getting error 16, wait a long time and speak with representative, have them reset the service thingy. It worked for me after not being able to call.

I didn't say anything they asked me for an alternate number, I gave them one and they called. Im sure y'all know the process from there.

S-OFF means you can install Superuser. Superuser lets root apps know you have root and they can send superuser commands to your phone.
Same here, calls didnt work - error 16 message. Connected to a sprint rep automatically and she asked if I changed anything on my phone recently, all I said was nope. Asked her why this happened, she said new security enhancements. She pushed a "fix" and said to power off power on and I should be good. Did that, S-OFF still there.... I am Golden.

I wonder if sprint is going to send HTC a bill! Sprints system resets at 1am(I just leaned this) so I had a rep on the phone talking about mountains for like 20mins, muhhaha! This never would of happened if they had unlocked our bootloaders!!!

I couldn't activate my phone earlier online so I had to call Sprint. Online, the system wanted to force me to change plans. Now, I am trying to activate my wife's phone and Sprint customer care is closed for the evening. I am having the same problem trying to activate her phone online.
Has anyone else experienced this and gotten around it?
I got the same thing, had to do it over webchat. took about 10 minutes.

I went through this twice in the past two days. After speaking with Sprint reps, they assured me that the reason was that I got my EVO 4G back when the "premium data" charge was only for WiMAX devices, and now the premium data charge applies to all smartphones. If you select the plan identical to the one you already have, nothing on your account changes.

I think it should but if you have Tmobile apps then it will stay on. I forgot which app keeps Mobile Data on. I haven't had Tmo apps since I first rooted.

How did you remove the Tmobile apps?
Yes data turns off when wifi is on... It only makes sense.

That's weird. Does your data seem to be off on the battery use screen?
I think the app that keeps data on is the Tmobile MyAccount app.
