Very strange problem one in the world - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi folks, i'm italian and first of all i apologize for my bad english, my' problem is very madness. I decided to unroot my 3g 10.1 (gt p7500) unfortunately i flashed the stock P7510 firmware. From this point i don't know how, but i have a p7510 firm and tab (for me is very ugly about the skin and option, apart the lack of 3g). I tried everyfing about stock rom, firm, but odin say me everytime "FAiL"!!! Kyes recognise me as P7510 but it isn't!!! How can i return to my original brand new tab?
P.S. I installed hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip from recovery by "install zip from sd card"....i made a mistake certnly
(i was rooted in my 7500 but i decided to go in the stock way because the battery issue, it decreased too quickly!)

any idea? However, i take back the tab to assistence service, i hope they know what to do. I notice that, in odin, the tab changes the ID port. When i'm in windows normally it shows ID10port, when i'm in downloading mode it shows ID9 port. Maybe tab is recognised by two way (p7510 and p7500) booooooo!

If in Odin the port-id is shown and yellow, you shouldt be able to flash a stock rom.
Download this rom from the dev section and flash that one in Odin. Its the stockrom for P7500 Make sure usb-debugging is on. No need to do it in download-mode

What's debug mode usb? Simple when i connect my tab to pc with odin on?

Well.
Go too: settings/applications/development on top you find 'USB-Debugging" tick that. Then connect youre tab with the pc. Then start Odin and select the rom-file you downloaded in PDA. If in Odin the com is yellow start the flash.
If you cant connect with Odin, uncheck the USB-Debugging and start again.

[q] urgent help needed.......

HI all members and fellow S2 experts.
I am quite new to android flashing and rooting.. and i have run into a problem and i really really need your help. Here is the story ....
I have stock rom 2.3.5 and cynagonmod7 in my phone. One day i made back up of my stock rom and went to recovery mode and changed to cynagon mod... I used cynagon for few days than made back up of it so that i can go back to stock rom.So i did back up it went fine.than i went to restore my stock rom and thats where the problem started. It didnt let me go back.
My phone does not turn on now.
When i try it just stays on the main screen where it says samsung galaxy s2 bla bla and that yellow triangle (indicating its rooted).
It does not go to recovery mode.
Once on charge it shows me the cell which appears when you charge your phone whilst it being off,it just shows me a empty cell and within that cell that rounded circle shaped icon not moving just as an icon.
And it lets me go to download mode but odin3-v1.85 does not recognise any device being connected or anything....
So basically i am doomed
I have tried taking battery out all sort of different combinations to reboot go to recovery mode all that but its just not happening and in download mode Odin does not detect my phone.
So i really dont know what to do.So can you please please please help and guide me how to get my phone back to life i really need to
Detailed answers would really help. Thanks for reading and please help me out.If any queries you can ask me.
Did you install the sg2 drivers in your computer? (you do this by installing the kies soft)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yes i did installed all the driver. But at the moment i am on another laptop which does not have kies or any other driver for s2 but it still is not recognised..Laptop recognises something being connected to usb but it actually does not recognise any device or shows anything.
try to install kies it might be a driver issue
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Try to install drivers only...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA premium app
I HAVE DONE IT YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Thanks alot guys it is exactly as you said.Installed kies in friends laptop went in download mode it installed the driver and than odin recognised the phone and put 2.3.5 again and done its working yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
You guys are star.THanks alot to all......
1- Try charging your phone for an hour or so (Just in case).
2- On that second laptop that recognizes something been connected to it, go to device manager and if you see any unknown usb device, delete it. Unplug your phone and plug it again (in download mode).
Good luck I hope this works
EDIT:
Glad to see you're up and running
help needed

i tried the above suggestions, but it is still the same
when in download mode and i connected to computer, the odin3 shown ID:COM

[Q] need help might of bricked phone :/

I have a s 2 i flashed a Lightening rom XWEK7 and it worked fine all day until a hour ago when my phone froze and restarted it self and now it wont recognize being plugged in it will go into download mode on the phone but still wont come up on the computer end. And is currently not going past the screen that says " Samsung Galaxy S 2 GT - 19100 and the yellow triangle at the bottom.
Need help ASAP as is my work phone.
The main thing is you can get into download mode. Get stock firmware from here if your carrier is listed, if not get country specific firmware here and flash that in Odin.
Edit - I just re-read your post & realised your PC won't recognise your phone. Uninstall/reinstall Kies so you have the drivers in place for Odin to recognise the phone (drivers might be corrupt ?). Make sure you kill off Kies in task manager before you attempt to flash stock firmware in Odin. If you find the PC still won't recognise your phone try a different USB cable/different USB ports (I know there's only one port on my laptop Odin works on), failing that try a different PC/different version of Windoze. And if all that doesn't work, you might want to try Heimdall. Search the forum, plenty of posts on how to use it (never used it myself so I can't guide you in the use of same).

Follow this, and the phone will live again

[Q] Restore S2 back to normal.

I've rooted my S2 and been playing around with roms for a few months. But have decided to go back to the stock rom which I made a recovery of. I restored it and it seems fine. But I remember when I rooted it in the first place it did change something.
Before root, if I connected to the phone to usb it would load kies on the phone so I could use it with the kies app on my pc. But it doesnt do that. When I load kies on my pc all I get is :
" Reconnect the device in samsung kies (pc studio) mode. Current connection mode not supported".
Any ideas? I just want the phone back to as it was from the shop.
Depends. What SGS2 do you have ? I.E. What's on the sticker under the battery ? Gives us those details (as well as country/carrier) & then we can tell you where to find stock firmware to flash to return your phone to it's "original" condition.

How embarrassing. That did the trick.
I wanted to see if there was an update, but it says "your device does not support software updating via kies" and checking on the phone results in connection failed appearing on the screen. Is this to do with the rooting and non official kernal? Or am I being paranoid?
OK. I9100 on O2/UK, KJK1 is the latest available here. Download the package & flash it in the PDA section of Odin.
This will return your phone to stock. You should be able to get updates via Kies from now on. If you find you can't for whatever reason, do a search on here for Checkfus. Basically this app finds/allow you to download the latest official firmware for your phone model/carrier/country that you'd normally get from Kies.
Many thanks.
I used the XWKJ1 Stock Kernel:
Everything works find but the update still. Kies won't do it over usb app and once again in the phone it just says connection failed.
Um, I did say download/flash the whole package, not just the kernel
Ah yes, I must read properly.
How do I apply this one? odin, pda?
First sentence of my first post.

I put on the stock rom but I've having issues with the market. For apps for the UK it tells me my device isnt compatible (on the web interface), on the phone the apps just don't show. I did try market enabler, resetting cache, rebooting. But nothing works.
That reads like you have a stock rom for another country .
Check the rom and your CSC you want rom and CSC for the UK .

Galaxy S2 problem, need advice please....

Hi guys,
need a hand here, yesterday I plugged my S2 to my PC but it wouldn't show up. I've done this many times before. I was getting the message saying 'usb device not recognized'. I then flashed the new ICS resurrection rom by moving it to my SD Card through an adapter. I thought maybe the usb problem would go away.
As my luck would have it the flash went badly it seems because i'm now getting the kernel panic message on my device. I can't get it to recovery mode but I can get it to download mode BUT Pc doesn't recognize the device still...
Could this maybe be a damaged port on my device?
Is it maybe a driver problem?
Any help would be much appreciated....
Anyone have any advice?

Did you install the usb drivers that are included in kies? They're in the kies\usb driver directory.

I plugged in a galaxy TAB and used KIES through my web browser to transfer items to the TAB. Does this interfere with the SGSII? I haven't used KIES with the SII
Instructions are to install Kies and connect the phone with the Samsung cable and drivers are found .It does not mention install another device and it will work so its a guess as to driver conflict due to Kies looking for the TAB .
Could be port on PC not a mainboard port USB on phone dirty or custom rom buggered phone .
I would flash stock GB rom via Odin .

I can't get the s2 into anything except download mode....I tried flashing a new rom to see if the usb problem would go away but something went wrong with the flash. I get the kernel panic error message. So no way of installing recovery or anything else...I have to fix it through odin but not getting it to see my device....

Sorry, missed that you can't get to anything BUT download mode.
Try flashing an older Gingerbread firmware wipe package then.
EDIT: specifically using mobile Odin, since your computer isn't detecting your phone via USB... not even sure if that works, but what do you have to lose at this point?

Download the apk to your computer, and email it to yourself? Or via wifi file copy?
EDIT: I'm a dork, right, your phone doesn't boot. Um... I'm not sure now... have to think about it.
I'm going to have to get a new usb port in my S2, I just hope it works after that. Found a few guys that can do it for about $40-$60. LI'll let everyone know how it goes....

Help! Odin does not recognise my galaxy ace s5830i

Hey, whenever i go onto Odin v 1.84 and plug in the usb to the laptop and to my Galaxy ace s5830i, the usual connection in the id area does not appear. I have already downloaded and installed and tested over 20 different samsung drivers, but still no recognition is made from odin when the phone is in download mode, and connected to the laptop. However, this has not always been the case, for i factory reset my laptop yesterday, and before the factory reset, i was able to use odin because it was able to recognise my phone.
This is very concerning for me. Before i factory reset my laptop, i was able to unbrick 8 samsung galaxy aces, but now i cannot unbrick any. I have also had different versions of odin such as odin v 3.09 and odin v 4.38 and still i am unable to get odin to recognise this s5830i. If anybody could send a reply, i would be extremely grateful because i am very desperate to get this working again.
If odin is not working because there are some settings on the laptop that need changing, please tell me! The laptop is back to factory settings, so has the settings as it did in the shop.
For ur info: Laptop= Windows 7 HP Compaq presario CQ57
Phone= Samsung galaxy ace s5830i
Please reply asap, i am very desperate!
Fixed...
After about 17 hours of struggling to fix this problem, i turned to automatic driver update, and this fixed the problem. Next time, it would be extremely useful if you replied to this thread. Thanks anyway :good:
