EH09 for fascinate? - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Based on information that i got in this forum, known that EH09 is for Mesmerize...but then i saw on samfirmware.com that rom EH09 is on Fascinate list rom (i attached the screenshot)..just curious

It's like the 4th thread in the dev section...

Its been unofficially ported.....
but if you are here you know that already.
I do not understand what you are asking.

I'm pretty sure he's wondering if the file on the site is an official fascinate build or if it's just the build found here on xda.

what's the difference between the 209xx and 207xx ROMs?

The ROM version used by ROMeOS and PROvEN are 207xx and the one used by Lantis is 209xx. What is the difference? Which is newer?
Thanks
bump badda bumpbump
well im assuming the one with the higher number is the newer update of windows mobile, but each cook must have his/her own reasons as to the choice of base rom.
your better off asking the chefs directly in their respected rom threads
I havent been able to locate the post, but I believe this was addressed somewhere in NATFs thread. if i remember correctly, 209xxx is not an finalized/official release and is a little buggy.
Heres a thread, but not the one i was looking for:

[Q] Installing CM7 on Telus Fascinate

Hello
This is my first attempt at flashing a custom ROM on my phone i have a bit of experience flashing custom stuff from the PSP Scene but if anyone can offer a bit of advice on this I would appreciate it. I have poked around in the forums here and have seen a few guides for flashing a custom ROM on a Telus Fascinate but all of them seem to be slightly different and a few months old so the files referred to may or may not be out of date or the links are broken.
I currently have my phone rooted with the voodoo lag fix kernal running aand would like to install CM7
Ok so after all this long windedness here are my questions
1) the first step seems to be to install a non stock kernal can i us the voodoo kernal to install CM7 (i assume i have to turn off lag fix)?
2) Guides refer to installing the full version of the ROM first and then apply the update but the only files i seem to be able to find is the "nightlys" can i use the latest nightly when flashing?
If anyone has a latest and greatest guide and a working link to any of the files need it would be greatly appreciate
Thanks

Looked at this one previously since it was really the only one that includes having the voodoo kernal to start...my only question with it is which CM7 Rom to use. Can i just use the latest nightly coming from stock 2.2 or is there a Base CM7 that you have to start with then once thats installed upgrade to the latest nightly

I found this guide too (which seems to be newer) but i can't post there to the 10post rule

[Q] Flashing new rom help after brought back to stock.

After playing with the new Cyanagen mod for a few days I had a few problems and had to bring it back to stock from a great tutorial I found and have used 2 times.
I'm now at:
Firmware 2.2.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build: EB01
I've looked around and really like the MIUI rom put out by Espresso but there just seems to be a few quirks it needs to iron out and I'm thinking of putting on
[Rom]{10.18.11}[EI20] TSM Resurrection 1.0 (touchwiz4/tsm parts)
Looks great. But reading thru it a bit it says:
1. Must be on EH09 or EI20 already (can flash over EH09 with a data/wipe)
How do I go about prepping my phone to get it *THAT* ready for this rom?
I've already rooted again and installed CWM-ALL on the phone.
All the OTA updates have been done. I remember reading somewhere that EB01 wasn't an official build so some OTA updates would not come down for it.
So much help here, it's insane. I love you peoples.

Flash this in Odin:

Use the pit file to repartition (check repartition in Odin).
After that is on your phone you can flash TSM resurrection through CWM.
Next time ask your question in the Q&A section of this forum.
Thanks.
I'll make sure my next question goes into the Q&A forum. Darn, really thought I was in the right place. My bad.
P.S. Keep up the good work, man. This is awesome. BEST place for help and information.

CyanogenMod information?

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask if anyone know a good post on CyanogenMod how to's and info I was thinking of trying it out.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Well if you wanna know how too flash then I suggest just going to the development section and looking at the CM7 thread by the official Cyanogen Mod account.
It says how to flash and what to flash and other stuff.
You can always visit their official website: http://www.cyanogenmod.com/
If you do end up flashing it to your phone, use a KANG, I think the lastest stable and nightly still have the 911 issue. (Because Vibrant support hasn't officially been reinstated yet)
You can find KANGs in the Vibrant Android Development section.

[Q] cyan fox 2.0.2 question.

Hey i'm somewhat new. I apologize if this has already been discussed, i did a search first...didn't find what i was looking for.
I have the galaxy sgh-i777. Just wondering if anybody knows if a version of cyanfox is available with android 4.4.2 for the i777? i've tried to flash the version i found onto my phone and everything works perfect except the phone calls, but i love the ROM and would like to know if anybody made it work on the i777.
Thanks!
Are you talking about porting the i9100 version? I haven't tried it, but a quick glance at the OP over there made no mention of phone issues, so I'm "guessing" it's something you did or didn't do when you flashed. One thing the OP states is you must use their gapp package, not the various others floating around. Did you install Cyan's? Also, check which modem you have; AOSP-based roms don't generally flash modems, but it's a good place to start.
