i tried creating Goldcard, i succeeded but when i connect my phone in order to downgrade it, the rom doesnt detect my phone. my phone has stock 2.1 and it syncs normally and easily with my pc. as advised in forums, i turn off my phone, then turn on, then connect it to my usb in PC WIN 7 64bit, choose htc sync and wait for it to connect, then run the 1.5 rom to downgrade my hero.
I need help please.
Thank you, i am desperate to get froyo on my hero so i can enjoy my apps and ease the burded on my hero user memory.
you want to downgrade because you need root?

You don't have to HSPL your device, Just Charge up the device above 50% & connect your device to PC via ActivSync using USB ..
then Download this 3.14 ROM .. and run it.
http://94.136.51.200/download/RomCo..._Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
then Just put Android and Taa-Daa !!
But if you want the hard way you can ..
Check this link for HSPL :

Download the newest version of "Windows Mobile Device Center" and that should install the correct drivers to sync up the phone.

Download this program :
http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/f/2/cf2e986b-015a-4f0e-92ff-75f461f6e48e/drvupdate-x86.exe

This is a long shot, but still worth asking anyway. What version of Windows are you using?
If you are using Vista or Windows 7, you would use Windows Mobile Device Center to connect to your mobile device. However, if you are still using Windows XP, then you should download the latest version of ActiveSync from Microsoft. One other thing to note is that if you are running Microsoft Office 2010 64 bit, you will not be able to sync with Microsoft Outlook 2010 using Windows Mobile Device Center. Only the 32 bit version of Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 will sync with Windows Mobile Device Center.
Another consideration that also has not yet been mentioned is that you should connect your HD2's USB cable to a USB port connecting directly to your motherboard, rather than connecting through a USB hub. Using a USB port on the back of your computer case should work.
Here is a troubleshooting guide for ActiveSync, and here you can find a troubleshooting guide for Windows Mobile Device Center.
I hope some of that information is useful for you.
hye guys
if i have already install android on my hd2 is it gonna have dualboots
which mean i can change to windows back at anytime right?
To change back to windows you simply reboot your phone.
You are not actually installing or flashing Android, You are simply booting it via your SD card.

[Q] Flashing Android Device using USB pendrive

Hi
I am working on an Android Tablet device and I am looking into how to upgrade Android OS from an USB flash drive instead of using USB adb fastboot.
So, the tablet will look for a known file name from an external USB flash drive during its boot up. Once it found the upgrade image then it will proceed to OS upgrade like reflash the whole Android OS or simply update certain part of the OS.
Is that possible? Please kindly help me on this because I could not find any articles related over the internet.
Please let me know if I am at the wrong section.
Many thanks guy!

[Q] How to Unbrick this ?

I have a Flying FG8 (aka Xing ling HTC Desire) and it's half bricked. The phone, messaging, settings and music doesn't works cause I tried to change the framework and this functions stopped.
I want to restore the rom, but the Recovery doesn't work too, I tried the ADB but the USB debbuging is off. I don't know how enter in the fastboot mode in this phone, and don't know if it have a bootloader.
Have some way to force the usb debbug to install aplications and try to recover the original apps ?
I have some knowledge in development and don't have more ideas to solve it, someone can help me ?
PS: I want to use this phone only for test and develop the Firefox OS, or Ubuntu, maybe.
Anyone?
Why don't you just enable USB debugging? Is the Device Rooted? Have you tried running a Factory RUU? Then you can start the Root process over.
I can't enable because the settings.apk error. I can't root
I'll test the RUU, thanks
