[Q] P500 Multitouch bug, is there no way to fully solve it? - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi all, first i´d like to receive a welcome in my first post here
I´ve tried 2.3.3 official, with franco, notouch v5 and v6 (that fixes partially the problem), AGA-Rom 1.4 with franco and both notouch... same thing.
Is there no way to fully solve this annoying bug? Is this a faulty project from LG?
I have a Galaxy Mini and its multitouch works perfectly.
I´m very disappointed with it, if there´s a full fix, please let me know.
Thanks

Our hardware does not fully support multi touch, only stuff like pinching to zoom in.

No, this is something due to the actual lcd panel used in the manufacturing of this phone.
Nothing that can be solved, improved maybe.

sad..

New Update for O1

There was a new software version 2.2.2
Download here:
Code:
csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/AVDZBK/V10q_00/V10Q_00.kdz
branded Vodafone fw
Does anyone have more information.
move faster?
bugs have been fixed?
Sorry for my bad English.
Damn instead of wasting time of bringing more Froyo variants they should focus on official Gingerbread
agree with Zerobarat1
AFAIK 2.2.2 fixes the bug where text messages may get sent to the wrong contact.

Lol THAT IS ALL? I know that this 2.2.2 came to nexus one at the beginning of february .... but ffs that's all it actually brings?
I read on a blog that they say is moving much better and it has not lagged.
I Understand that the root does not work with version 2.2.2
Has anyone tried this version we can offer more details
At least we now that lg hasn't forgotten us yet after releasing optimus black, 2x, and 3D. Just my two cents.

AFAIC, if ever that's a fix for the SMS bug, that's important, since this is a phone and it was built to send and receive calls and SMS.
i've tried it and it seems very similar to a 2.2.1 but linpack scores are a little better around 7630
with standard cpu frequency
Did you check to see if they changed any touchscreen settings , like fixed cpu bug , or inversion bug?

sorry I have cooked it with kernel fix by sippolo
edit: i've tried stock 2.2.2 and there is bug of touchscreen yet
its able to root using z4root or other tools?
No , you can cook it . Or even more simple just flash Paolo's LOL 1.4 ROM which sports the new update.
Romanian/Euro version? Where can I find it?
Hey guys.
I just updated to V10Q 2.2.2 but once it starts up it just gets stuck on the android logo and loops.
Stock rom was V10a South Africa.
Any ideas?
I was using V10e without any problems but the Indian bloatware was really dam annoying so im trying to find another 2.2.2 update that doesnt have bloatware and can be rooted.
Any help would be much appreciated.

[Q] WTF, Multi-touch?!

Hello.
I just experienced multi-touch on my x10, I didn't think this was physically possible. And no, it's not a double-tap misunderstanding. I placed two of my fingers on the screen and zoomed in and out like on any other phone with multi-touch. I did it in the default browser that comes with the phone. How is this possible all of a sudden? I haven't run any updates on it since last time I checked for it, and it didn't work then. Despite any available update, I thought multi-touch was a hardware thing?
I'm running:
Model: x10i
Version: 2.2.1
Baseband: 2.1.54
Kernel: 2.6.29 - [email protected] #1
Mod: CyanogenMod-6.1.3 v3.3
Build: CM 6.1.3 v3.3 [2.2]
Any response is appreciated!

Lol they implemented dual touch like three months ago... You're just finding this out now?
lol its pseudo dual touch, this was released ages ago..
Lmfaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Have I been gone for that long?! I feel like it's only two weeks ago dual-touch was being discussed and said never to work, haha! I feel kinda stupid, and yes I figured it out just now! I've been using Dolphin browser all this time, since dual touch didn't work. So it's not really dual-touch then, it's a simulation of it? Cause I thought dual-touch was a hardware thing.

no it is dual touch it just doesn't work the best. if the two touch points cross axis they go all haywire...
That seems kinda odd. A few months ago it was said that multi touch never would work on x10i because of hardware issues. Anyhow, I like it! It's not as good as on Desire but it works.
Haha, I should begin keeping myself a little bit more updated on what's going on so I can avoid these kinda awkward situations. I sort of just update my phone once in a while when something new is released and never really care to read the changelog or anything. Silly meh.
Thanks for all replies. Except the lmfao guy, that was uncalled for :/
Dam.... smh

ups, just informations :
using stock 4.0.4 ICS w/ KRsH kernel v2, dont have any modding, only script swap2zram, zipalign n removes some useless stock apps.

try it with the official ROM, if it doesn't solve the issue you need to claim the warranty of your device because it would absolutely be an hardware issue.
thanks for reply
sometimes it works normally, but more often broken. unfortunately, i already use a warranty claim for repair switch connector (slider).
i confused :confused ,is't a known as overheating issue that occurs in Mini user?
i've often re-flashing, but almost never use custom rom on my XMP.
always use the stock rom that promises stability for daily use.
my modding is just replace the kernel to get the overclock so i can play FPse emulator smoothly, except for my E15i X8 which is specially for modding.
anyone can enlighten me?

Touchscreen Fix?

Hello all, I am an owner of the LG Thrive (p506), and was wondering if anybody had seen or heard of a fix for multi-touch.
Perfect example here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHVSBDPWhQs
I believe its due to the phone only being made for pinch to zoom but surely there must be a way to fix this. Any help is appreciated.
Some kernels have a fix for this, but it only works if you cross your fingers slowly. If you slide your fingers too quickly the fix won't work, at least from what I've seen.
I don't think any of the newer kernels has a fix. Try digging up some of the older ones (go to the roms and kernels sticky in Android development for a list) and look for one with the fix.

I would assume such a glaring bug (it makes gaming nearly impossible) would have a little bit more work behind fixing it. If I could get a p500 kernel with the axis touchscreen bug fixes then maybe I could port it to p506. I know the novatek screen that the thrive has is problematic because no other phone seems to use it so the coding likely hasn't been done, but I suppose I will begin the research and try to fix it myself.
