my X10 got a bit wet in the rain the other day - I had it in my purse but it was raining so hard it soaked through. The battery did not appear to get wet.The phone died after that. I put it in rice, turned it on, and was relieved it was working.
suddenly turned itself off minutes later. When I tried to turn it back on, it vibrated but nothing happened. I could very faintly see the Sony Ericsson words in the background but the screen was not backlit or anything and it never moved past that in the startup.
Charged the battery - LED light was on. Turned it off overnight and put it back in the rice in case of a little moisture left. Battery showed 31% this morning then phone just turned itself off randomly after screen timeout and when I turned it back on it showed 72%. I can't repair it through SEUS as it says my phone is up to date no matter what I do. Help!

You could try flashing your phone using flashtool. This is not a SE application but one developed by other XDA members. You can find everything you need to know about it here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343

Why does this do this?
I left it on charge over night last night, to my surprise - it hadn't charged...
I have read all over about this, but this is different...
I connected it again, and one blinking red light came up, not the triple you usually get if it's dead...
this is the only response, and is continuous.
it finally turned on, I checked the status after turning everything off and setting it to airplane mode. it was at 1%...
2 hours later it was still at 1%, and then after 10 minutes i checked and noticed it said 0%.. then died.
It's now still plugged in and is flashing one red light again.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Have you taken the battery out?, if not do so for 10 seconds or more and pop it back in see what that does.
Happened to me once, no matter what I did it didn't charge do i took the phone to the service center, they messed with something on the upper side of the phone.. plugged it into the wall and booooooom ... started charging again..
When I asked him what he did, he told me " it just needs a little magic ! "

Yeah I'm gunna ring them up tomorrow, I tried that little trick but it didn't work.
It now shows no sign of life.

we ahve to charge batterie with external charger about 2/3 hours and after put Xperia charger
solution tested 100% work fine
problem was battery was full empty

Have you tried a different battery?
I don't know if we can fix this problem but as other posts above have said that mobile shops could be able to fix it.
You could be able to send it to SE but if your phone has been rooted or debranded you void the warranty.
i had the same problem last night, the battery died and then when i plugged it in it came on to charge, and then off again. after that point just blinking red light.
i removed the battery for some time, plugged it back in, and left it on charge for a bit and it came on.
i think the problem is, that when it starts charging, it wants to turn the screen on, which takes more power than the charger can give. so it goes into a loop. and dies.
but leaving it on charge helps (it worked for me)
A few days ago I noticed that my phone got slower
I couldn't receive texts nor phone calls from anyone, they came a few hours after. Like 3 days later my phone suddenly shuts down and i couldn't turn it on. That lasted for like a day. So i thought
everything was fine when i turned it on and it worked but now it keeps shutting down every now and then! When a few days had passed my
phones doesn't work if I dont have the charger in it and when I do have the charger in it, it still shuts down now and then. Until yesterday, when my phone turned itself off and I haven't been able to turn it on. No led turns on when i put it on the charger or when I connect to the computer and nothing appears on the screen. Earlier today my phone blinked red but now it's dead.
Maybe a bad battery. Is the battery swollen???

Yes maybe, but the battery is inside the phone not like the other SE phones and I don't have the right screwdriver to open the phone to get to the battery.
Now my phone just keeps blinking red, and sometimes it turns green but still nothing appears on the screen!!!!!

Yesterday I damaged the phone with water, after that I removed the black glass panel and tried to dry it with hairdryer. I also put it in a plate with rice and let it drain the water overnight. Today I tried to wake it up:
When I plug in the charger, the phone automatically turns on. It only shows the logo and the battery status, but after that it turns off. If I push the power button, the phone vibrates 3 times and the whole thing repeats - it shows logo, battery status, then it turns off. Battery seems Charged, but it looks like phone cant find it, because If I unplug the charger and try to turn the phone on, it does nothing, like the battery is dead.
Is this issue common to all water damaged phones? Do I need to buy new battery or just wait more days? :/

I would try leaving it a couple more days to ensure it is dry then try again. But charge it first before trying again.

Yesterday my phone got under water. Sicnce it is waterproof, it really didn't matter to me, so I just used it normally. Then I noticed that the SD card wasn't working so I took it out and saw it was wet. I then let my phone "dry up" for a couple of hours and the put the SD card back in and it worked perfectly. I used the phone for about 3 hours and went to bed. I did not put it in the charger, and when I woke up the phone wouldn't turn on. I figured it had to be a dead battery, but I got no response when connecting it to te charger(I tried with several chargers). I left it in the charger for 8 hours while I was at school and when I got home, the LED was blinking RED, but it still won't turn on.
When I connect it to the computer, the LED turns RED and the computer makes the "connected" sound. Then the LED turns black and the "disconnect" souns comes. Then it turns RED again and so on..
Is this a water damage? Or may this be caused by my custom ROM? If it is a water damage are there any way to save it? Or do I have to take it to service? Is this a guarantee thing?

I have an old Z2 tablet, it was sitting in storage for a few years and the battery has been flat for a long time.
I plugged it into power a couple of days ago and miraculously it started charging. It charged to 18% and I tried turning it on. It then went completely dead, no read light. A few times the red light came on for a few seconds, the battery indicator came on then the screen went blank.
I'm sure their is a way to fix this.
Any help would be appreciated.
