Hello,
I just bought my new samsung galaxy s2,
It is come with
Android 2.3.4
Baseband version : I9100GDZKH4
Build Num : GINGERBREAD.DZKH4
Just wondering is this the latest rom or KI4 is newer than KH4?
I comes after H .
jje
KI4 is still 2.3.4, stay with your KH4 because the official 2.3.5 will be available soon (this or next month). A leaked test version KI3 with 2.3.5 is already available.
Try ki3, it's 2.3.5.

There isn't a 2.3.5 XEU update. 2.3.4 is the latest for the uk.

Do a search for Checkfus on here. That will be able to tell you the most recent available firmware for your phone/region/carrier.
I am a link with info about all the available firmwares

You have the same version I had when I bought my SGS2 in December via Phones4U on O2. This is not O2 firmware, it is Samsung's firmware. And that is the latest publicly released version. So annoying.....That is why my attention has been driven to XDA The latest stock firmware you can install is XWKL1, however I recommend a custom firmware as stock firmwares are buggy, battery not-friendly, and have tens of useless apps...
stock firmwares are buggy????????
That is nonsense .

Hi I to upgrade my sgs2 model number GT-I9100, baseband i9100uhki1, kernal uhki2 from 2.3.4 to 2.3.7 how to upgrade. can I do it without rooting my fone.. just want 2.3.7 stock..
You will find only the GB official version upto 2.3.6 which you can find on the link below in my signature stock roms...
you have to use ODIN to flash the same without rooting the phone

There is no 2.3.7 for the I9100. Most recent Gingerbread release for this phone was 2.3.6.
You don't need root to flash stock firmwares via Odin, and stock firmware flashes do not increase the counter.
Download from Intratech's official stock firmware thread, or from www.samfirmware.com, and follow the instructions on how to flash via Odin.
i have samsung galaxy s2 i9100 and i have android 2.3.5 i know there is a 2.3.6 but kies doesn't show an update option.is that ok?
baseband version i9100xxki4
2.3.6. Your carrier may not have released a 2.3.6 rom, which may explain why you don't see any OTA update to 2.3.6.

I depends on a number of factors. What country, What carrier. etc.
Your operator may even have missed out 2.3.6 completey jumping stright to 4.0.3.
Here's the link to Samfirmware to check.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
Or you can download checkfus and and run the .exe.

If its showing there was indeed an update, you have a couple of options,
1....Check that your running the latest Kies firmware
2 Download and install the 2.3.6 firmware yourself using Odin.
A friend of mine has a samsung galaxy s2 with basebandversion I9100XXKE4 and when i looked which version of android it was running i was surprised to see version 2.3.3 was installed. Because i had version 2.3.5 before i used another baseband version update to go to ICS ... Looking arround on the web i could not find a more recent version of Android for her phone. (btw also still no official ICS version for the i9100XXKI3) So I had on my phone a baseband version I9100XXKI3 and i updated using Odin with an ICS package which had I9100XXLPR baseband No problems until now. Now running CM9.
You guys think i can also use this (xxLPR)package to update her I9100XXKE4 ?
We both live in HK. Only difference is she is on PCCW and i am on Smartone

XX ROM series had plenty of official updates after 2.3.3, among them three ICS ROMs. Latest is LPW.
Just follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
and pick up whatever ROM you feel like (you may also follow your product code).

Yes, you can. Only thing is if you flash stock firmware for another region you may have problems getting OTA updates for your region in the future. Which isn't a huge problem as you can also simply flash these via Odin when they're released if you do have difficulties.
I've had a look at Checkfus (PC version) & it tells me most recent update for I9100/Hong Kong was ZSLPG on 06/04/2012. So I guess you could go with LPR like you did, or you could get Checkfus & use this ICS build, which might mean no problems with OTA updates in the future (but no guarantees).
