Hey guys,
weired question...
My x10 MP doesn't vibrate when I receive a SMS.
Yes, I know there is an option in the SMS app that enables the vibration, it's on
Also, is it possible to receive a notification of a new SMS without showing the first 50 letters of the SMS on the notification bar?
Same here, mine also no vibrate on sms and emails alert..
But it does vibrate with incoming calls if I put the phone in vibrate mode.
Not sure what fault it is, everything seemed setting right in the setting menu.
Finally I figure it out!
Step 1 install handcent sms
Step 2 go to your sms configurations and make sure that the vibration notification isn't check!
Step 3 uninstall handcent sms.
Step 4 go to your sms configurations and make sure that the vibration notification it's check!
It works \o/

I got it working too..
Installed AudioManager and set notification alert vibrate box checked and everythings worked as it should be.
Just wonder why it did't work when everything is in default setting(no 3rd party sound/audio app installed) with Alert vibrate checked.
It must be the firmware default bug...
Do you think there's a way to activate it without installing something beforehand?
I don't know, because the initial problem was (i think) caused by handcent
On my issue, I didn't install any 3rd party sms but still the vibrate don't work. Until I installed this audio manager and solved..

It works
I don't know what caused the problem, but the Handcent SMS seemed to work.
Thanks
is it x10MP bug? you should report to sony =p
I've got a HP Touchpad and a recent update has enabled pairing with any phone over Bluetooth. One of the features enabled is that you can send & receive text messages on the Touchpad but only if it allows Bluetooth Messaging Access Profile (MAP). Does the HD2 have this feature because I can't seem to find it in the bluetooth settings.
Phone
You can now pair a phone that is not a webOS phone to the TouchPad, so you can answer calls on the TouchPad.
NOTE: Most devices cannot send or receive SMS (text messages) from the TouchPad. The SMS Mirroring functionality needed to send and receive SMS from the TouchPad requires the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) to be supported by the phone.

Thanks.
i have the same problem please help
Does anyone know if the HD2 has this feature at all?
same question... TP2 user. Would love to send/receive sms via the TouchPad.
I'm very interested in picking up a 3g Flyer and using it as a phone but before I pull the trigger can seomeone tell me if there is an option to enable vibration on an incoming call?
On Gingerbread, you can enable vibration on incoming calls, provided you root your Flyer and change one line in /system/build.prop
On Honeycomb, GSM phone functionality is broken; there is neither a ringtone nor vibration nor any audio if the call is picked up. There will be an Incoming Call screen but without the ringtone you're unlikely to notice anyway.
Also no incoming screen... You don't see any notification when a call comes. Only "missed call" once the call is missed.

No incoming call screen?! Can I not accept/reject a call from the Flyer itself?

Only with HC. With HC, GSM doesn't work at the moment until someone finds a way.
Oh yea, I know that the phone function doesn't work on HC but I was a little worried that you were talking about GB!
Does the contact name show up on incoming calls for you or just their number?
I've searched, with no success, and so I ask here... I have installed groove ip and logged in to my Google voice acct on my stock GB Flyer. My contacts show up but when I attempt a call, and the app dials, and connects but then immediately closes the dialer. NO error or force close or anything. It just closes... I Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?
Before you are able to make calls you must do the following:
Settings < Troubleshooting < Enable Wifi Tablet

Thanks for the suggestion, I got it worked out. I had to make the Google voice forward calls to Gmail. I didn't have the option to just check the box in the voice settings through Google originally. I had to install the dialer on my desktop and make a call from gmail and then the box was there to Check.
Hi All
Can anyone guide me how to turn off CB messages in HTC Desire X Dual with Android 4.1 and Sense 4+. Its not in Settings>Call> CB turn off/On like other JB 4.1 Sense 4+ running HTC devices.
Thanks in Advance.
HI, this is a good phone.
I satisfied the still camera, music through headphone, performance and other features.
If anyone got problem with cell broadcast sms or service messages, just first save the channel in any name and just block that channel in message block list. If can't block in default sms application, just download any sms application from android market ( i used Handscent sms) and block the channel
