Who all has used this function? i tried messing around with it and most functions arent working and the ones that are, are super buggy and delayed.
How is your experience?
It works when it wants to, to be fair, it's still in BETA. I wonder if they have a feedback forum for the site?
What is it?
i also have not successfully been able to use these services and just emailed them about this.
@arozer - its a site where you can locate phone, lock phone, and even wipe...all have not worked once for me tho...i've taken suggestions of removing htcsense from phone then add acount again as well as deleting account online then making new one...nothing has worked
I recently sent an email to HTC and got a response basically saying the service wasn't functioning. Something about the service being overwhelmed. I turned off the sync to htcsense in the accounts and sync settings because it was going constantly, and I think it was killing my battery.
I'll add the email when I'm at my computer.
Email response, which only had a semblance to answering my questions... I supposed this is a canned response they have for HTCSense stuff.
Thank you William for contacting us. I understand you're having issues creating an account at HTCSense.com. I am more than happy to be able to provide some clarity to the situation at hand.
Due to greater than anticipated demand for the HTC Sense.com services, some of our customers are experiencing stability and reliability issues that are unacceptable.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused; please be assured that HTC treats this as a very important issue and we are working hard to improve the experience for everyone.
We hope to have improvements to the service out in the very near future to help some of these issues and we will continue to communicate with our customers throughout the process. Thank you for your patience.

I live off of my phone for work and absolutely love the stock Sense 3.0 integration into MS Exchange server. I'm able to search for contacts in our GAL easily, search for email on the server, email a recently accessed email (history) not in my list...the list goes on. Its all of those things that outlook does so that you dont have to ever touch your contacts list.
NOW, that being said I'd like to get away from stock. I'm new to the scene of flashing and dont plan to do it often. I was however looking for a ROM that preserves the email functionality described above without a crappy third party email app (i hate touchdown). I'm also looking for some flash and over improvements without slowing my phone down.
Ideas, opinions? Warm 2.3 sounded interesting and looked good. I like the additional mods etc.
Pretty much any rom will be able to sync with exchange. The mail app on most roms is still the stock htc email application which allows you to search on the server and when sending an email will automatically search your GAL. Every rom I have tried has played nice with exchange. I'm in the same boat as you are, I live off exchange server for work (and manage it too).
The only issues i've come across are sometimes a specific build of a rom wouldn't sync properly over 3g with exchange through the phones email app. I could pull up OWA without issue, but it just wouldn't sync through the phone as normal. But, just flashed a different rom and it was back to normal. It seems that I'm flashing a new one about once a week anyways.
Any sense based rom "should" be a non issue with exchange, senseless (sense based with it removed) would be next best, AOSP being the most likely to have a bug or issue but try them anyways. Totally different feel in those roms.
Let me know if you have any questions and ill try to help as much as I can.

Thanks fr validating this. Always tough to jump in before knowing the details.
That being said do you have a top 3 favorites of sense roms?
I have this tablet, however Iam not able to set up the email client to use my work email. I keep getting a message saying that my server requires settings that are not supported by this Android device.
can anybody tell me what is going on? I even went into the settings and encrypted the tablet because my work email requires to have the device encrypted but it did not work. However I also have the Galaxy phone but that works ok with my email. so my issues is only on the tablets.
Am I m missing something?
What email system does your company use?
Also this may need to move to Gen discussion.
This is not in the right forum.
If your exchange admin has enabled security features that Android does not have then you're out of luck unless you can get them to change them. Otherwise your web based exchange should work ok.
owa
Use your OWA address as the mail server.
Can you get mail on your phone? Then you should be able to get mail on your tab. If not, then your IS folks probably have owa sync disabled. We do for all phones except droid, apple, and bb.
I had the same problem with HC 3.1 and 3.2. You can try one of the ICS preview roms like Mabalitos ICS rom in this forum.
I finaly got it working with that after six months of struggeling.

Moving to Q&A
My corporate exchange servers have some requirements that the stock email application won't support so I ended up using Moxier mail. Suggest checking it out, im not sure if they have a demoversion though. Retail version is pricey but worth it for me, ymmv.

Greetings from the Skyrocket forum. I'm looking for a little help for a friend who has a problem receiving her Comcast.net email on her phone through the native app. When she puts in her mail info, she gets this response "Can't safely connect to Comcast servers."
I have searched this forum by a variety of search terms including "email", "comcast email", "comcast", etc. I'm coming up empty handed. A google search seems to show that there's been quite a bit of questions asked about this but as for the specific answer, if there is one, I can't find it.
Has anyone with Comcast.net email and an S3 found that they cannot include that account, or is there or has a workaround been found, preferably aside from using another email client.
Thanks for your time and hopefully, answers!
Dear all.
What has happened to the email client in Android 4.3?
It used to have features like Sort by A-Z view by conversation etc. Any way to get this back on 4.3?
I'm sorry if this has been asked elsewhere I did check the forum and Google.
Thanks,
Michael.
