can someone help me I'm trying to find an easier way to save text messages rather than sending all to email? Is there a way to pull them from a file copy and drop to computer and save?

MyBackup Pro and Titanium can both do that.
I use "Sms backup and restore "
Search "ritesh sahu" on the market
You can enable which conversations you want in the settings otherwise all of the conversations will be backed up

Download Go SMS pro. It's a good texting app and it has options to back up and restore individual conversations/threads or in bulk.
Chomp SMS allows you to email text convos...but mybackup root if pretty awesome, too.

So i'm using the stock messaging app. Yesterday I froze some apps using TB. Is it possible one of those apps has rendered my text notification not working?
Good place to start?

i suppose its possible
my uneducated guess is that its possible
did you just randomly freeze apps or did u check the bloatware thread first?

Was Email Engine one of them? IIRC that's the one responsible for message routing.

I'm running the latest full throttle cdma from. My question is is there a way to do a group sms ? I have the group in my contacts, but cannot find a way to send a text to that group. This is extremely important for my job. I've already search the forums and haven't found an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Never mind, I decided to just use go SMS. I was just trying to avoid using a third party messenger because the theme was so nice.

In order to store your SMS on the cloud (on your gmail account precisely), you can use "SMS Backup +"
This is a free app, you just have to log into your gmail account and your SMS will be automatically saved on gmail. You can read them from any device connected to internet and you can also restore them on any android phone.
If you prefer to save them on your microSD card or in your internal storage, Titanium Backup Pro can do that easily.
Hope I helped
Also, if your phone is rooted you can use titanium backup which can backup sms to an xml file and can later be restored to any sms application.

With all the new roms coming out because of all the amazing developers, what backup apps are you all using? I feel like I'm switching roms every other day and getting real sick of losing all my texts and apps.
So what backup apps are you using and why?
Thanks for your responses in advance!

Most people on android use titanium backup if rooted. The backup app called 'helium' is nice also but TiB is the best out.

The guys in tranquil recommend using TiBU for apps and HTC backup for settings. Also, the messaging app in a lot of ROMs have built-in backups, or you can use a third party app to do this + contacts.
Titanium backup is the best back up for apps and app data. For texts I use go sms to back them up. And for contacts just sync then with Google and they will restore when you sign in on the new rom.
