I would like to post the dimensions of both phones. I have seen a lot of eBay and other 3rd party manufactures claim that if it works for the International version it will work for the AT&T version. That is plain false. When looking up these accessories take this in mind. I have posted these in inches because the AT&T site has it and I picked up the International version via Wiki.
International (Euro) Version: (4.93")H x (2.60")W x (.334")D
AT&T Version: (4.96")H x (2.60")W x (.35")D
Now you might be able to squeeze one of those gel protectors on, but it will probably look bad. I believe AT&T stores and some Best Buys will have at least one type of protectors for them on Sunday.
Hope this helps.
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3621&idPhone2=4130
Honestly why would there be any difference in size? Would it be because the AT&T version has a row of capacitive buttons? I was honestly hoping that accessories for the AT&T version would work with the international version.
White iPhone vs Black iPhone dimension. At&T vs Verizon iPhone dimensions....yep

It's little bit different. This version has NFC chip.
My store has the otterbox commuter for the international s2. Fits the at&t model perfectly, although the hole for the noise cancellation mic on the top of the phone is offset.

They will fit, the problem is the i777 has a noise cancellation mic on the top which the i9100 cases will cover.

In addition, a lot of them seem to have openings for the lanyard loop and sometimes for an antenna that the AT&T version both don't have. The antenna opening is pretty much the entire top right corner, so it would be weird to have that there and not provide any functionality (if anything removing functionality if it's going to be exposing an entire corner).
International Version cases will work... with modification.
I can confirm that cases for the International version seem to fit the AT&T version just fine. The slight size difference doesn't seem to matter, although there is one stipulation that must be taken into consideration...
The secondary microphone hole that is located on top of the phone near the 3.5mm jack is a few mm off from where it is located on the international version. I have attached pictures to demonstrate where it is off, and show the slight modification I had to make to my Incipio case for it to work. I had to to the same with a cheap TPU case I also purchased to try out.
Outside of that 5min adjustment w/ an razor blade, the case goes on and off just fine and doesn't seem overly tight on the phone. This is pretty much going to be a temporary case for me until something better comes out. I would really like the BodyGlove Mirage cases that AT&T sells at their stores to release for this phone. I have one on my Captivate, and one on the wife's Infuse, and they are great cases.
I have a Case-Mate Barely There case for the international sg2, can confirm it fits the AT&T version perfectly, except for that little offset where the noise cancellation mic at top, as others have mention re: other cases. Not a big deal to me, as I hardly use the phone as a phone (ha ha) and when I do, it's usually with Bluetooth speaker in the car, or headset.
I also have the CM Tough Case (similar to OtterBox commuter), but haven't tried it yet. My guess would be that it will also be a perfect fit, save for the offset mic at top. Since the base layer of the case is silicone, should be easy enough to cut cleanly with a razor to make the adjustment.

Having owned a TYTN and a TYTN2, I love HTC smartphones with keyboards. After spending a year with an Iphone 3G I have bought a Rhodium. The only problem is that I detest silver phones, so I have ordered one of thier OEM housings in black. I used a coupon code of TS20090701A for 20% off.
I'll post a teardown video and review of the housing once I receive it.
Those pics look to be the sprint version casing.
does this fit on the normal rodium here in the netherlands??
i like the backplate how much is it??

Agreed.
I hope the OP doesn't have a standard Rhodium otherwise there may be a bit of a fitting nightmare when it comes to relocating the ExtUSB port because of the extra 3.5mm jack on the Sprint version!
wow i cant wait to see it opened up i have the t-mobile usa version and would like to know if i could change the housing, the people are right about that silver one bieng the sprint version but i think the black one on the sight is probly the oem htc touch pro 2. I tried to enlarge the pic and it didnt let me so i could not see the rear cover but on the red version the back was the same as the unbranded touch pro 2 good luck with the install i will subscribe. In any case has aanyone tried to open the us t-mobile version and see if the guts are the same as the unbranded version?
That case "looks" more like the T-Mobile one. Notice the Battery Cover, from what I can tell in those screen shots the stylus doesn't go through it like the Verizon/Sprint/HTC/AT&T versions. Of course it's not a true T-Mobile one because it does have the tapered edge around the screen (Bazel).
Its the Sprint TP2 housing.

I have received the casing and there is no way to make it work with the T7373 model.
I have emailed the supplier and askerd for an exchange for the correct, albeit orange, model.
So far no response from the vendor...
I've emailed twice asking about exchange.
agitprop, what makes it impossible to adapt? Is it the shape of the T-mobile frame that won't fit in the other housing? Or is it the touchscreen?
If it's the touchscreen, you can buy an alternate version that will fit the Sprint housing, they're all over ebay for about US$30.
Be sure...
To notice that the one pictured above is yes the Sprint version but on top of that the Sprint version has both the mini-usb port AND the 3.5mm jack, so for a t-mobile touch pro this isn't going to work, or at least you'll have gaps.
I was looking at the silver one on their site and might go with it, since looking at the picture closely it appears to only have a hump on the back for the mini-usb port.
Buddy of mine has the Verizon version of the TP2 and I must say it looks a little nicer that the T-mobile one, it actually "looks" smaller as the edges are mor rounded off, hence why I'm interested in the silver on on that site.
Are there any other technical reasons why the case you purchased will not work? Please explain.

SGP's site says the cases for the international version of the Galaxy S2 are compatible with the AT&T and Asian version. This is great news as these are very high quality and stylish cases. I e-mailed them about whether or not a different screen protector would come with the case as it doesn't have the home button but either way I know what I'm getting!
http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s2.html
The phone is longer and thicker. Get it at you own risk. There is another thread that talk about the dimensions.
I've been told on another forum that a member who works for AT&T and already has the phone has confirmed the fit of the SGP. (pretty sure)
I have an incipio tpu ish case on mine...

It may fit, but the noise cancelling mic on the AT&T GS2 is not aligned in the center like on the international version. If the case has a small hole for the mic you would have to poke a different hole if you use it for the AT&T GS2.
Email from SGP
We are in the process of making screen protector for ATT version Galaxy S2, and we will have them in about next week.
For the cases, please allow 1-2 weeks to find out if they are going to be compatible with our lineup.
Please email us if you have any other question.
SGP Screen Protectors are already available on their site.. unless it's not ready to ship?
Got this email today, asking about cases.
We do not know if we are going to make cases for ATT Galaxy S2 at this moment.
Please check back our website next week for future update.
Thank you.

They did that because they now have an "AT&T version" the only difference between these two are that the AT&T version has an AT&T compatible screen protector so not the biggest deal.
I just got my SGP Ultra Thin Air case in the mail today. Although the case was obviously made for the international version, it fits very nice (with the addition of both the case liner stickers that are included). Most importantly, the second mic is NOT blocked.
edit: pictures in this post
One of the SGP case is out for AT&T version

edit:
*** Please note that the case covers the microphone hole and may result in possible sound reduction.
Guess the case is the same as the galaxy version except we get the AT&T version of the screen protector..
Another one just release, SGP Samsung Galaxy S2 ATT Case Ultra Thin Air Series.

Not sure if I want to wait for the Neo Hybrid Ex or just get the ultra thin one. Pretty weird how it says the ultra thin case blocks the microphone when it doesn't get anywhere near either microphone.

That's what I was thinking. Ultra Thin Air don't seem to be blocking the mic.. or it shouldn't since the top is pretty much open.. Anyone want to try it out? lol I'm thinking that they're putting that description for every single SGSII AT&T case though.
They're most likely talking about the noise cancelling mic. It's on the top, right next to and below the headphone jack.
Yes, but the Ultra Thin Air Series barely covers the top noise canceling mic from what I'm seeing.
Anywho, I emailed them asking if they had cutouts for the lanyard loop, and antenna and they said that the AT&T versions do have to for some odd reason to be compatible with the international version of the phone. Which brings me to question why they even have separate pages for the phones. Cases for this phone are sooo confusing.
So they pretty much did no editing to the case, kept it the same as the international version except give us the AT&T version of the screen protector?
tbh they're both 4.3..the att is the international one lol
How big a deal do you guys think the noise cancelling mic being covered is? If it is used only for noise cancelling then it doesn't seem like that big a deal, but I'm sure it's used for more than just that which could be kind of a pain in the butt.
Yeah, but it's just strange to have two useless cutouts that can only trap dust. Just the way they marketed them as two separate products, yet still saying they are compatible with other versions of the phone (but then not saying that the international version is compatible with the AT&T), is dumb. All for a different screen protector.
Seems like SGP removed the statement saying about covering the mic on the SGP Ultra Thin Series.. It's still stated on the Capsule.
well looking at the pictures of the ultra thin. it wouldnt cover the mic in the first place
^yup but they stated it was going to cover it when they first put that page up online lol
they make awesome cases, but their webpage management is horrendous
e.g.
http://www.sgpstore.com/blog/new-arrival-att-epic-bionic/
lol epic 4g touch as AT&T SGSII and vice versa
I'll wait for the matte finish cases from SGP. I hope they come out with one..

Does anyone know if there are any Bumper Cases for the ATT SGS2 or anything that fits the ATT version?
I'm looking for something that would give me some drop protection without really adding any bulk to the phone. And I think a bumper case would be great if I can find anything.
So far I have not really been able to find anything. I saw a few international bumper cases but I don't know if they fit and I don't want to spend money for international shipping without knowing that it would fit properly.
This is the only one I could find.

Apply "CVDQY4" for free shipping.
Yeah but that's for the international sgs2. I'm worried picking one up for the international version because the dimensions are different.

It will fit, just that it will cover the top noise canceling mic, won't effect it too much. You can always drill/poke a hole if you want.. lol

I purchased the one for $3.79. Standard shipping was only $4 so even if it doesn't fit I am only out $8. Only thing is its like a three week shipping time so it will be a while before I can give you feedback.

They are the same... But international cases cover the top noise canceling mic on AT&T model since the mic is placed a different place compared to the international.

According to them, yes. Just that if you order international version, they will give you the international version screen protector.. They're slowly repackaging all/most of their international version cases for AT&T.

I purchased the black bumper case from this ebay seller. http://www.ebay.com:80/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220870704009&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:1123
It came really fast. Shipping only took 2 days.
I really like this case. It is made of hard and soft tpu. It fits perfectly even though its made for the international version. It does have the cut out in the corner for the antenna. It DOES NOT have the right cut out for the second mic. I was going to drill a hole, but in my testing the mic still seems to work as it is barely covered.
This is a great bumper case for the price. It adds no bulk and still protects the phone. I will try to add pics later.
Are there any good bumper cases without the hole in the corner? I have a fear that if I ever drop my phone it will land exactly on that unprotected corner.
I am on the prowl for a case for my upcoming Samsung Note. I am having difficulty finding (of course) any cases that are made specifically for the AT&T Version.
Do we have any confirmation that the International Version and the AT&T LTE Version are in anyway different? Mic Placement, Etc?
What are all of you buying for a case?
I bought a case from Amazon for 5 bucks for international note. If it doesn't work then I am out only 5 bucks.

From what I understand, device dimensions are the same, but no one has yet been able to say whether or not MIC placement is identical.
From the pics i have seen the Mic looks like it is in the same place but not sure about the 3 mm jack

I emailed SGP and one other case manufacturer to see if they are the exact same.
The microphone thing worries me
Edit: just compared two back shot pictures of the note. One international and one AT&T. The 3.5mm jack is in the same position.
i ordered an aluminum bumper from ebay. it should be here soon. ill update everyone when i get my note!
for aluminum bumpers, i dont see a problem with mic placement. or the 3mm jack. you can just mod them easily.
anyway, speck a couple of cases out. i have used the candyshells on my iphone for about 2 years now and have dropped it about a billion times. the phone is in good condition still so they work good!

As far as we have been told, the International and 4G LTE versions are identical in shape. The internals and weight are different, but cosmetically, they are almost identical. The only noticeable difference is the home button. The international version has a physical click home button but the AT&T version has a capacitance home button. This does not effect the cases shape. You can see images of the case we will have in stock (later this week) here:
Amazon ASIN: B0075WQ118 (introductory sale price of $4.95)
You should expect to see other colors (White, Clear, Blue, Red, Purple) in this style online in a matter of days. The Gloss and Matte versions will follow later next week. Let me know if you have any questions about this case.

Thanks...I see your case shows the AT&T Version with the capacitive buttons....guess that means your case should fit like a glove. I went ahead and ordered the white one figuring that if I didn't like it...i'd only be out 8 bucks.
On another note...(no pun intended).. I currently have an IPhone 4s and use a Credit card case like the one in the attached images... Since I've been an Iphone user since the very first one, I'm having difficulty finding decent cases for other phones (IE...Note).
Are there any cases like this out there for the Note?
TIA!
What are the holes on the bottom right of the phone? It is located on the backside of the phone directly across the speaker phone. I see some cases for the N7000 having the slots opened for it and some just covers it. Also most pictures of the International Galaxy Note does not have the holes there.. is this ATT only?
Thank you for clarifying that. Makes more sense, now I can shop with ease.
Cimo, thanks for the info. About to order this case right now.
Real quick, I don't suppose if you know if this will work with ProClip's vehicle mount for the note? I know they don't have much room for give so I was planning on going with no case on the phone . . . but I like the looks of this case and the deal is pretty hard to beat.
I just bought this one from Elago.
http://www.amazon.com/elago-Slim-Ca..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1328640739&sr=1-3
I always used Elago with my iPhone 4. They're not the best at protection, but they're the thinnest short of a decal skin. For me, that's the most important thing on a big phone.
I bought the white, because I have the white note, but maybe I'll buy another color too later, or return the white. Hope it's not that tight, like the Amazon reviewer implies, but I don't plan on removing it ever.
This one seems to be thin enough too: http://www.amazon.com/elago-Handmad..._1_9?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1328640739&sr=1-9
I was thinking about getting the SGP because it covers the power and volume buttons.
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-Samsung-G...XD94/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328645558&sr=8-1
They also have a padded thinner case like the one mentioned above but it is quite expensive. I really want to get a aluminum bumper but $50+ seems too much for protection that don't even cover the rear.
