Has any one tried Eclipse .8 yet? - Motorola Droid X2

Has any one tried Eclipse .8 yet? Better than .7?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App

Seems to be working great so far. Just as smooth and quick as 7. Can't say a huge difference, but there were some bugs he worked out between the versions. Did 7 have the cyan colors. I'm losing track now.

Yeah it did.
Question, my phone wont mount my external sdcard. It just stopped randomly and I reboot but it wont mount it! Any ideas? Still on .7 of Eclipse.
Was about to download .8, but it wont download without an sdcard mounted

I'm still on .5. I don't like the black out that .6 .7 and .8 has brought. Black out meaning the calendar, menus, etc.

I don't see why you couldn't download to your internal. You may need to go into settings-storage and tell it to go to internal instead of external for now. Did you flip/flop? Do you mean the "actual" external SD? 8gb? It may be corrupt and in need of formatting. I would take it out and hook it up to a pc to see what you've got.

I went down to .5 for the red and black ICB theme. But decided to go up, can't stand leaving the phone alone hana
Any idea of how to fix the unmounted sdcard problem?

It has flip flop, I hope its not corrupt! Ill check on my laptop when I get home. I changed the settings in dolphin browser to download to the "external" but it won't download there. Keeps giving me an error.

Settings > storage
There should be a mount sd card and under that a format sd card.

If I have the sd card flip flop, would it format the internal one instead?

I haven't seen this covered yet, but is anyone having trouble with their bluetooths? My Jawbone randomly disconnects when listening to music (via) bluetooth even though it shows its connected. Also, when I make a call the bluetooth option cannot be selected at even though it shows its connected as well. Other than that, this is a great rom, thanks.

I have the same random issues wit the sd card. More often than not, I can take the sd card out, put it in my reader and pull the files off, reformat the sd card and copy the files back. Today my sd cars was corrupted to all hell and I couldnt do that. Luckily I copied over my titanium backup and a few other files over to my pc last night and was able to get back to normal. Im learning to backup my sd card now and then..its a life saver!

I have had the problem as well...to get around this for now is to go into settings, turn you bluetooth off, then on again...that fixes me up...I guess I could install a widget to make life easier...lol

Hey guys, the X1 fried my old SD card back in June which is how I got my X2. All Verizon could come up with was it was a fluke or an OS issue with the GB update. Just wanted to say it is pretty common. I lost all kinds of media I hadn't backed up. Learned my lesson.

I probably should start backing up my stuff on my pc too. Had Ti, but I guess its useless if its only on the sd card haha.

[Q] sd card files to keep?

I have a 32gb sd card and I only have 19 gigs of music on it but it says I have 4gb left. I rooted my phone and installed viper ROM also I have the clockwork recovery flashed. I want to format my memory card and put the music back on. Do I have to keep anything else to put back on to it?

Thats more or less up to you. I'd say keep your most recent nandroid. If have games and you had to download the SD files, keep those so you don't have to download them again. Maybe keep the htcwatch portion of the .data folder if you want to keep the Green Hornet movie on your SD. Everything else is usually written to the SD as needed.
Thank you. Okay so I'm probably going to sound stupid here but will it screw up the root?

Market issues

Hello. I had to factory reset my phone today when my memory card went corrupt while using navenrobs storage flip flop (not blaming him in the slightest) but after formating my sd card and factory reset. I can't download some apps From the market like galaxy on fire 2 or guerrilla bob. I had downloaded them both from the market before but it just wont let me download in the market. I also have the new buildprop installed as well would any of that cause me not be able to install some things from the market.

Did you have a backup of original build.prop? Don't know if that is it but maybe try it and see what results u get if u implement original build.prop
Just wondering, what had happened with ur sdcard? Did u do something u shouldn't have? Just curious so I don't make the mistake
I didn't back it up stupid on my part. But my sd card corrupted when I was moving some files in astronomical it crashed and I had to pull the battery when I restarted it kept crashing then it failed to mount the "internal" storage until I formated the card.

No I never thought to do that. I don't know what caused it but I sbfed back to froyo and updated installed sd card flip flop and its fine.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing a problem with GB and the new market, but I was unable to download several apps that should have been compatible with the DX2.
In many instances, the programs would show up in the Market, but there was no download button.
After doing some research, it looks like the updated Market is to blame.
As a solution, I uninstalled market updates through Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and then froze MarketUpdater using BloatFreezer. Now, I'm on the old Market, which completely eliminated the problem of non-downloadable programs.

Market Issue 3.1.3

I am having an issue purchasing apps from the Market. Whenever I click on the button to purchase an app I get a message that pops up and says:
Error
An error occurred. Please try again.
Not sure what the problem is, I can install apps that are free and I can purchase apps using the same account from a pc and push them to my phone. I tried deleting cache and also clearing data. Also tried to re install Market 3.1.3 that Mikey had posted and I still get the same error.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It seems like it might be the app itself. Some people thought it was ROMs, but people were getting this same error doing this on an un-altered Galaxy Tab as well.

I am on Eclipse .5. After researching the ROM thread I saw that others were experiencing the same issue.
Same here
Running version .5 squeaky clean install after format sd card and internal, sbf, reset, formated sd card nd internal again just to make sure, p3droid prerooted, flashed eclipse .5 backed up then flashed cyan icecream blur. Fixed cam flash sync problem I was having now can't purchase appear in market.
Seems as though Nitro is looking into working out the bug for the market app. He was looking for some users on twitter to help him run some tests.
I am running Eclipse .5 and I can't download any Apps unless I am on wifi. I 've deleted cache and data several times and re-installed ROM no change.

I was getting on error on both my X2 and my OG Droid the other night i cleared cache and data on both devices and they all work fine but both my phones had the error but my xoom was fine so i think its either a market bug or something within this rom but if its in this rom I'm unaffected by it

Music not working

So I put in my old SD card from my og Droid and plugged up to the computer and copy it onto my internal storage and when I rebooted and played it in Google music it says error playing requested track. /:
What's wrong?
DX2 Eclipse 1.0
Ummmm now it works perfectly and all I did was make this post??
DX2 Eclipse 1.0
Same thing happened to me when I copied everything to a new sdcard. Takes a while to find it. Strangely enough, I used the stock music app to play a couple tracks & that seemed to "teach" Google music where to look. Had the same thing on the stock gallery after I used SdMaid to clean some app caches. I accidentally cleaned the thumbs in the moto gallery & couldn't get em back til I pulled & installed the aosp gallery from my eclipse zip. Once the aosp gallery loaded the thumbs, they showed back up in the stock gallery too. Weird...

Memory Card Does Not Exist

I have a Samsung Epic 4g and just recently while trying to download third party apps or anything outside of the Android Market I get the error: Memory Card Does Not Exist. Has anybody ever had this error? Please help!!!!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I've got the sd card does this before just the restart your phone and see if your sd card is back using a file browser.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yea I tried to reboot but still its giving me errors
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Does file explorer find the sd card? Is the sd shown as mounted in the settings?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yes it finds it, its just every time I time I try to download something from one of those downloading sites, it just goes to memory card does not exist. Is my sd car corrupted or something?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Well you might need to format your sd card, or not use third party markets...
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
How do you reformat your card? Do I lose everything that is saved on my card when I do?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Yes, a reformat wipes the sd. To reformat you can do it from recovery by mounting sd and formating or from the settings menu
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Please download another app from Android market and see if this error also appears.
Thats the weirdest part about this. I can download from the market just fine, its just gives me the memory card does not exist when I go to download a zip from one of those file sharing sites.

Is it possible that the problem comes from the the app itself, maybe you can try another app from the same site or another one from the shared links. It happens to me sometime, and I will just let it go and try something else.
Thats what I thought too but thats not it. It gives me that error whenever I download from any of those file sharing sites. I tried to download Roms, Music, Etc with no luck... It just keeps saying Memory Card Does Not Exist.
