I have a Samsung Epic 4g and just recently while trying to download third party apps or anything outside of the Android Market I get the error: Memory Card Does Not Exist. Has anybody ever had this error? Please help!!!!

I've got the sd card does this before just the restart your phone and see if your sd card is back using a file browser.

Yea I tried to reboot but still its giving me errors

Does file explorer find the sd card? Is the sd shown as mounted in the settings?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yes it finds it, its just every time I time I try to download something from one of those downloading sites, it just goes to memory card does not exist. Is my sd car corrupted or something?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Well you might need to format your sd card, or not use third party markets...
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
How do you reformat your card? Do I lose everything that is saved on my card when I do?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Yes, a reformat wipes the sd. To reformat you can do it from recovery by mounting sd and formating or from the settings menu

Please download another app from Android market and see if this error also appears.
Thats the weirdest part about this. I can download from the market just fine, its just gives me the memory card does not exist when I go to download a zip from one of those file sharing sites.

Is it possible that the problem comes from the the app itself, maybe you can try another app from the same site or another one from the shared links. It happens to me sometime, and I will just let it go and try something else.
Thats what I thought too but thats not it. It gives me that error whenever I download from any of those file sharing sites. I tried to download Roms, Music, Etc with no luck... It just keeps saying Memory Card Does Not Exist.

Hello. I had to factory reset my phone today when my memory card went corrupt while using navenrobs storage flip flop (not blaming him in the slightest) but after formating my sd card and factory reset. I can't download some apps From the market like galaxy on fire 2 or guerrilla bob. I had downloaded them both from the market before but it just wont let me download in the market. I also have the new buildprop installed as well would any of that cause me not be able to install some things from the market.

Did you have a backup of original build.prop? Don't know if that is it but maybe try it and see what results u get if u implement original build.prop
Just wondering, what had happened with ur sdcard? Did u do something u shouldn't have? Just curious so I don't make the mistake
I didn't back it up stupid on my part. But my sd card corrupted when I was moving some files in astronomical it crashed and I had to pull the battery when I restarted it kept crashing then it failed to mount the "internal" storage until I formated the card.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing a problem with GB and the new market, but I was unable to download several apps that should have been compatible with the DX2.
In many instances, the programs would show up in the Market, but there was no download button.
After doing some research, it looks like the updated Market is to blame.
As a solution, I uninstalled market updates through Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and then froze MarketUpdater using BloatFreezer. Now, I'm on the old Market, which completely eliminated the problem of non-downloadable programs.

I hv a 64 gb class 6 sd card which has been working fine. However sometimes when I try to install a large file, it won't install it right away. It takes several attempts to get it to install. Why is this happening? I seem to remember someone saying before that titanium back up may be causing it. Can someone please elaborate or could someone please put me on the right path. Thanks

How big of a file are we talking? Most apps are kept below 100mb anyway.

Some time ago someone put a link for a app that allowed the SG3 card to mount and show on my Macbook thus allowing installing roms/photos etc. Somehow Ive managed to loose it ......Just on the off chance someone has it installed and can forward the link.
Thanks

No in general, really. Like I use dolphin browser and I dont get an option to leave the memory directory and I use a youtube video downloader app that saves youtube videos and it still doesnt give me tbe option to save on the external sd. Just mentions the phone, s memory.

Well to the best of my knowledge, without a mod, this will be app specific. But perhaps a dev somewhere will no somewhere you can change the default download directory.
Recently i installed Alliance b24 with a 64gig external was working great till I noticed pictures and videos were erasing overnight. I take pictures and videos straight to external. Also transfered all my music there but only half the songs are recognizable even though file explorer shows the file still there. If you know of a fix please help.

Simplest fix, and this is going to be an extreme pain, move all your files on your SD card to your computer, format the card within the rom and move everything back. That usually fixes any SD card issues I have ever had with a tw based rom.

I've had to replace 3 64gig cards messing with roms and TWRP recovery unfortunately.
Issues your having sounds very similar to weird problems I've encountered. But night time wasnt the problem lol
Try deleting a file and reboot is the file still there?
Try creating a file and reboot is the file there?
Do it from a PC using cable?
Do it from microsd adapter?
I've even reformatted using PC and phone to find all my files still there and untouched..
Nothing will fix it.. My only solution was copy data and replace on a new card and snap the old card in half for security reasons.
This was after using TWRP and Alliance/Beans roms I've had these issues with a 64gig sdcard. I'd blame it on TWRP somehow.
Sorry it's not a fix.
I did have twrp. But after ur coment switched to philz. Will try both fixes a nd report back. thanks for your input.
