i have a xperia x10 mini pro running 2.3.5 gingerbread mini cm7 pro v13 final custom rom,
recently i noticed my wifi messes about and i dont know whats the problem,
it used to work before,
now it either goes in a loop ( connecting, disconnecting, scanning)
, it simply just says error and when it does connect after few min the connection drops,
would anyone able to help me with this problem
i tried barnacle, blade wifi fix, wifi fixer etc...

you're right wifi doesn't work on v 13, but now in v 16 worked perfectly.
is the v16 final?
theres new versions every second hard to keep up!

No, v 16 is the pre-final.
but so far everything is working perfectly, you should try it.

I got my Xperia X10 July 2010.
I updated from 1.6 to 2.1 and 2.3.3.
For 1.6 and 2.1, my wifi was working very fine, but it got problem after i updated to 2.3.3.
I connect to wifi once, then after off it and on again, it will keep on scanning.
Sometimes i off and on then can geet connected. But it take a long long time.
I try to flash back 2.1, then wifi very fine, but update again, same problem come to me.
Urgent need help.

That's a weird issue. You can try flashing another ROM (It could be a corrupt download), repair with SEUS or check your router.

out of curiosity what router are you connecting to (model / as much info as you can give me) there have been a few issues like this and i am trying to find out why.

My wife has the same issue, on any custom 2.3 ROM she's tried but it's intermittent. Haven't tried going back to 2.1 to see if it's any better.
It happens with our Orange Livebox, and her Dad's SKY router (not sure of the brand)

i tried with stock rom 2.3.3 also same problem.
Try reflashing it us sony ericsson pc companion.. Then click on support zone and click repair..

TheBrainsRom on SSpeed Kernel Xperia U Failing to broadcast SSID on Tethering
I recently installed a new Custom Rom "TheBrainsRom" on the SSpeed Kernel v3 on my Xperia U. All was fine until i tried to turn on the Tethering. It shows that it is tethering but then it doesnt broadcast. At times, the Status Bar also gives a force close issue.
My question is that is there anyone else going through this problem? Is there anyone who could tell me if this is usually to do with the Kernel or ROM handles such functions independently. What could i do in order to avoid having to reflash the device.

ok my issue here is that i can't detect the wifi. It has nothing got to do with the router as i am unable to detect ANY wifi ANYwhere.
This is the 2nd time it happen. i've read somewhere it said to wipe clean, so i did a full wipe and it solve the problem, and it happened again after just one week. I found some others who are having the same issue but those were x8.
Anyone experienced such issue with their mini pro x10 before??? How did u manage to solve it(permanently)??

Hmmm... The same thing happened to me, when I used the miniCM7Pro-v21 ROM. So it has some issues ... I tried to reinstall the ROM, praying that it would be a solution. But that didn't worked out either. And I made a decision ... I flashed to rom with the latest version of the nAa kernel. And installed the MiniCM7-2.2.0 for the Pro version. And it made this bug in the begining just ONCE!!. Hope that would be an answer.

I had simular problem with MiniCM. I think it happened when i told it to forget a LAN while i was connected to it.
I had to tell it to forget all networks, and i could rediscover them and connect to them.

i do not think my issue is the same as your's. it does not even scan for any available wifi and i did not fiddle with anything when the problem happened.

ok i've read somewhere it says to chg my router to channel 11, and it worked!
but why did it chg suddenly, and how do i go about it, as i cant be requesting every hotspot area i go to to chg their wifi settings.

My friend has a sony xperia ray.
When he's trying to turn on the wifi, it says "connecting" and after a while it disconnect automatically.
The same thing is happening with the bluetooth.
Does anyone else have this problem?
At the time, he was running gingerbread 2.3.4. He updated to ICS 4.0.4 but the problem still exists.
He told me that he dropped his phone and that problems began after that.
If that's the case, does anyone have a disassembly tutorial which shows where the wifi and bluetooth modules are in the phone? I searched on youtube, but it didnt say where the modules where.

1. which kernel u use? stock(installed by sonys pc updater ) or custom (have to be downloaded and flashed)
2. how he updated the rom?? orginal with a sony program or u use cm9/custom ROM???
if u on stock(from sony) 4.x.x ROM AND kernel, u can flash stock_ics_wifi_modules (search on forum; b'cuz i'm unable to share links at now:silly
then wipe dalvikcache/cache THEN wifi must work!!!, otherwise its a hardware or very,very strange problem...
