Hi,
Anyway to root I9100G phone without flashing kernel file?
Superoneclick is app without flash?
And what will happen if rooting failed?
anyone got idea on how to root I9100G?
AFAIK, flashing the kernel is the only way to root an I9100G. Make sure you use a kernel for I9100G, NOT one for I9100. You can get a rooted kernel in the following thread, post #22:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276105&page=3
try look at this forum..this one is for G version..=)

Obviously there is!
Check this out... Doomlord's Rooting Method

Even though i dont own that phone, while searching the internet, i found this: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2068824
hope that helps!!
Just flash one of these kernels that matches your firmware.
Thx Bro....
me go study 1st how to root
Just rooted my SGS2 using the DooMLORD easy rooting application.
Superb piece of software.
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 ( Indian ) in a flat 4minutes. I was very nervous in rooting the phone having bricked my Samsung i780 in flashing custom ROM and having sent my Omnia i900 nearly to death flashing a custom ROM .... but then the thrill of rooting and modifying the device got better of me and I did it in a flat record time of 4 minutes.
The option of unrooting is an added benefit.

hi everybody,
has anyone tried this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399. does it works for i9100G?
guys, bare in mind that this guy is using I9100 G .. The G model is not the same like our I9100 ..
can anyone confirm the Doomlord tool is working with I1900 G model ? G . G . G.
To root an I9100G, flash with the rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671
In the first post, search for I9100G. There are two version, DZKI1 and ZCKH4. Flash the one matching your firmware. However, only the KH4 one has clockworkmod recovery. The KI1 one only has the standard recovery. If you want clockworkmod with KI1 kernel, you can use my kernel from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327509
and GDZKH5?

edit : using DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit to root didn't work for my phone
i got this link and it seems intersting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1341288
hope it's just a beginning, go go go
is there any chance to root without usb connection?
doomlord v2 root working great on my i9100G ... anyone got DZKJ2 kernel link/s. Is
it release yet? I'm still on DZKI1 btw ...
rooted my phone using odin. removed the yellow triangle by using odin to flash the cf root kernel and its now gone. But upon flashing the rom using cwm, its going to manual mode. any ideas?

just install KJ2 firmware, i read that it's the best for the I9100G for the moment!

i have MyGKernel installed to have CWM and Root but is there any better choice ?
BTW : i installed juffo's rom which is great for battery drain and offers some ice tools!

Better method CWM and root read the instructions first .
Root + CWM .

I know you're trying to be helpful JJE, but since he has GDZKL3, he has an I9100G for which there is no CF-Root.
Anyway, at OP, you don't necessarily need an insecure kernel in order to root. There are at least two "G" rooted kernels in the development areas.

Yes i see users dont tell its different phone .
I have kept clear of G stuff and it does seem a bit silly yo have G posters in a forum thats going to break their phone ..
Wanted non international version section tacked on to the forum .

so when i want to root, on odin i put the superatoms_v2.1.tar as the PDA ? instead of the insecure kernel ?

hello guyz i just today bought a Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G
i am trying to root it from past few hours and i have tried all the possible ways but i am still not able to root my device...

i have tried DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su and got the above screenshot
can some one plz help me with it.....
thank you
the easiest way ( in my opinion ) is to find your baseband version and down load the corresponding cf root file on itratechs thread and flash it in the PDA section in odin

i am a complete newbie with android so flashing and all is not for me i just need root on my device so that i can install few of the application
As Wezza said, CFRoot is the easiest & most hassle-free root method for SGS2. Takes all of 2 minutes, very remote chance of stuffing your phone up so long as you follow the instructions. By your own admission, you're a 'complete newbie with Android', and IMHO, using a method other than CFRoot to root your phone is just making life unnecessarily complicated for yourself.
Just my (and obviously Wezza's) opinion tho.

just find a cfroot kernel that matches ur phone and flash the same thro' odin u will have root access after that u get a yellow triangle at boot if u want 2 get rid of it then reflash the stock kernel u still have root access so that u can install apps like Titanium bkp. root explorer etc which require root access
please follow the link below for cf-root kernels
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
ps before doing anything make a bkp of ur current rom and read the faq in the link above carefully before flashing anything from the same
you can flash a cf root kernel and keep your stock rom, see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
just for root you can try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 (up to LP7 it is confirmed working, no problem to try on LP8, read the thread for more information)
Root with CWM : CF-root link is on my signature (recommended)
Thanks for that, but where do i find these cfroot kernals?

I applied the root, however i can't get super user permissions, su binary fails to update and my wifi is not working now
Use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
No problems or insecure kernels. I've got the exact same firmware as you and it worked perfectly for me.
Hey guys, i have some questions ..
I' have "rooted' my Samsung Galaxy S2 Android( 4.0.3)
baseband: I9100XXLPW
and Kernel is XWLPD
with this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414
I just followed all the steps did flash the insecure stock then runned s2 root and clicked Root Device.
It said that i have rooted succesfully. then it went rebooted. I checked if it was rooted by the root check app
but it says i don't have root?
Realy weird..
What should i do? i tried re-rooting
I think that S2 Root has some bugs.
I did have superuser too , it just didn't ask the permissions there's te problem i guess
1) Your link is busted.
2) Frankly, anyone with an I9100/T who doesn't use CFRoot to root their phone is making their life unnecessarily difficult/complicated. You might well be right about bugs in the method you tried. I personally don't know as I've never used it. I very much recommend you head over to the CFRoot thread, read the first page carefully (particularly the section with the heading in bold read that says 'Help ! Which file do I use ?'), if you can read/follow instructions you should be able to root your phone successfully/easily
Actually Codeworkx's CWM or siyah kernel will also do, just flash em with odin.
allright updated link,
I don't want use these methods because the method i do
has just a one click Root or Unroot option to make it as easy for me because i'm not good in these things. + i don't want cwm
I guess it's just a bug because everybody is replying the same. The developer should fix and update it.

Hi! I faced exactly the same issue while rooting my phone using S2root. This procedure was working for me when I was on Android 2.3.6 but was not working on Android 4.0.3.
I used the Chainfire method and then used Triangle away. I am now happy rooted.
The following link might be of help to you...
