Just to help eliminate constant posts about international roms working on AT&T SGS2.
The International Roms usually include modems and kernels that do not support AT&T SGS2 capacitive buttons and modem. Once development is furthered I am sure we will see I9100 roms(International SGS2) on our AT&T SGS2. Until then please be patient.

From what I understand the Bell mobility Samsung Galaxy S vibrant is different than the US T-mobile Vibrant. This forum is about the later. But the Bell is not quite the "international" i9000 either. So which one is the good forum? Or should we ask for a new one?
I think most people have been discussing that in the regular i9000 forums. I have seen them post firmware and such for that over there.
I have a question about the difference between the SGH-I747 vs. the SGH-I747M...
The SGH-I747M from Rogers is my first North American Android phone. My previous phone was an I9100... I often read about people who flashed I9100 ROMS on their I9100G, I9100T and I9100M phones who bricked their device.
It appears that ROMs for the AT&T SGH-I747 are fully compatible with the Canadian SGH-I747M models... is that correct? What is the difference and why do they have different model numbers? With the I9100, the letters indicated that there was different hardware in the phones.
kyanROM works fine on my SGH-i747 and it is based on one of the canadian phones. check the att dev forum for more info.
hope that helps.
Hey guys,
I have a SGS3 i747m from Telus and I'm debating whether I should switch to i9300 because of development reasons. I love to flash roms on my phone all the time but there is just not enough roms out there for my version of S3. Do you think we'll be able to have a universal rom in the near future for all versions of S3 or should I just trade my phone for a i9300?
Hey guys,
I'm most likely switching over to a small regional carrier, Carolina West sometime this week. They offer the SII and I can't find much specifically about their version of the SII. I definitely want to install a custom rom on the phone. What should I look out for to make sure it's compatible with the ROMS on this site. I believe they piggy back on Verizon so the phone may be the same as Verizons.
Thanks!
Check out the bands used. If it uses the 1700 band, you will need to make sure that the custom rom supports this.
Every GSII variant has its own forum. You dont have to worry about not finding rooting instructions and custom roms.

im just about to upgrade from my sgs2 i9100 to a telus note lte .. (the seller keeps calling it a note lte,, not just a note..)
just a stupid question but is there any difference between the telus, rogers, bell, at&t versions of the note???
i have been looking but i have not found any real answer if there is a difference in the hardware that will affect flashing various roms and rooting..
from what i have read the hardware is the same for all models (right?)
and i can use modems from tmobile...??????
thanks for any help
From what I know, the hardware is the same. The reason he calls it the "note lte" is because of the international version which has completely different hardware.
You should be able to use T-Mobile modems just fine. You could have him give you a screen shot of the "about phone" page in settings to verify its an i717x.
