I've just bought a Motorola photon 4G in Hong Kong !cause it only sale in USA,the phone is great,but when I checked my phone,I 've found a phone nr seal in my phone(this not my nr)I can't remove it,n I can't may any diret call from my phone! can someoe tell me what happen n how can i do it ! thx

i bought M3100 of the street, it was working on orange, i unlocked it and was working fine with O2 when i changed the SIM to it started saying No service, only on a T-mobile SIM it say 3G T-mobile but i m not able to make or recieve any calls, i tryed doing the unlock & ungrading the rom again and again i m not sure wat happned, now i have a feeling the mobile might have been stolen but still not sure, it cost me £200. any advice on how i can make the phone work again??????????

I have tryed mtty.exe and putting the codes init. and the flased it again but nothing happned
i download the Imate rom and then tryed unlocking didnt work, then tryed mtty.exe again but nothing happned. i have downloaded the USB moniter but i dont know hoe to manually update the rom..

Sound like a stolen phone to me. You may want to go back the shop and see what they can do about it. Just act blur and mention nothing about you unlocking the phone or flashing the ROM.

well, i did not buy it from the shop, i bought it from a person who i used to know and he was leaving the country and selling his phone. if its stolen will it work outside europe? or what do u think about changing the ime no. for using here and out side europe.
I had the same problem but could not connect to O2, problem solved by changing settings in phone; ensure that in the "set networks" that T-mobile is selected. I have to do this each time i rest the m3100 untill i can find a work around

Bought a Nokia 920 in the UK about 3 Months ago it was on the Orange/EE Network. I was moving to South Africa so had the Phone unlocked
When I first arrived I put a Vodacom Sim in the Phone which worked ok but was dropping some calls so changed the 4G to 3G in the menu. That seemed to work, recently upgraded to Amber and i think that's where the problem has started again. If i phone a South African sim call goes through. If I phone my wifes phone iPhone 4s with Vodacom sim call drops, strange thing is it puts a 44 in front of the number when I'm dialling through and displays a message about International assistance activated ? Now if i put 27 dropping the first 0 on the Number it dials and connects.
I'm wondering if the Phone wants to pass the call through the UK before it connects
Any help would be most welcome

deactivate international assist from settings -> applications -> phone and try how it'll dial
Also check what country/region you configure in menu language+region in settings - I suppose you should use South Africa.

Thanks for the Info. Checked the region it was set to UK. Think the Amber update might have reset it to that as it was originally a UK phone
can now call SA numbers without adding 27 in front. Checked my wife's iPhone which is also from the UK had iOS7 update which also reverted her settings to UK.

So i came today from India to Austria. I was there to visit my family and that stuff. I buyed there a new phone cause my old phone is dead with water. I have buyed before 1 week my new phone. Its called: Micromax Canvas Fire a104. This phone is just 1 month old and costs olny 7000 rupees. It has dual sim, one micro and one big sim. So i have tried there vodafone and tata docomo and they worked perfect. I just put them like for 1 hour, just to check the network. Now today the problem starting. I have a sim from Austria called "drei" and it doesnt work in that phone. But it other phone it works. I will try today to put some other out country sims, but I dont think they will work. I have put the sim in the micro and big slot (with a adapter) but they just dont work. But they work on s4, in old nokias and that stuff. What should I do now? Does those Micromax company only work in India, Russia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka? Because in Austria or like in germany are they not selled.

The problem is that Micromax phones dont support different countries bandwidth other than in which it is sold.
So using any other sim other than those will not be able to function properly.
So try some international sim or buy a new phone

I bought this phone in Malaysia @ Lowyat PLaza.. Paid RM1099.. The Hyundai Multicav Q5L+ has good features & worked Ok in MY using the MY SIMs but when I moved to India (Chennai) it stopped working. When I put my India SIM (Vodafone) and the MY SIM - Tunetalk (it's a dual SIM phone) neither of the network signals seems to pick up. Note, the phone does display that its a Vodafone SIM, Tunetalk SIM etc. but no signal and there is a "cross" displayed next to the signal bar. I tried selecting the network manually but that didn't help. When I contacted the MY vendor (who sold me the phone) he said something about the IMEI range registered on the phone being different than the one in India and hence the phone needs to be patched. Apparently it can be done by some of the service center shops locally. When I went to a few of them, they took a look and couldn't figure out how to fix it for this brand of phone. Note, both the SIMs (incld the MY one which is on roaming) work perfectly well with my old phone which I had purchased in India. So nothing wrong with the SIM cards or the networks in general but something to do with this phone. Any help will be appreciated.
Hello guys I have a S8 galaxy and it fell in the water and the board got damaged.. I had to change it with an old board from an old wrecked S8 from the store.. and I live in syria .. and in syria you cant use the phone unless you pay a fee to the government for clearance for each new phone .. and they are not giving clearance nowadays for anynew phone *war related orders* ..
So the tech store guy offered to change the imei of the new board to the old imei that I had .. in that case we can use the new board on the network..
After he changed it we had a problem that we can use 4g network for data but we cant make calls .. I can make calls on 2g network only ..
In the past whenever I wanted to make a call the phone would automatically change from 4g to 3g and make the call.. now the phone is changing from 4g to H and not making the call ..
Does anyone know what should I do ?
