Unroot? - Motorola Photon 4G

Hey is there any way to unroot without flashing the entire sbf?

Not that I've come across so far.

Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper app in the market worked for me. You can save root and then remove and restore it.

I thought that if you did a factory reset it would wipe root?

Not in all cases. It depends on where the exploit is located.
SBF normally does.

I upgraded to the latest firmware then rooted with the one root method without issues. The WiFi Tether works just fine afterwards too.

No... To "undo" a flash you need to flash back to stock

Factory reset will leave you with nothing left on your phone and it won't boot (won't touch recovery or SD card). You need to have another ROM ready to flash, whether stock or custom, it doesn't matter.

[Q] tempt root gone right?

Especially after the most recent OTA. No one has found a workaround? Thank you for your time.

Say what?
Haha what?
You can root on the most recent ota
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Yeah but I read that there's no temp root anymore..I want to be able to back everything up before unlocking the bootloader...I thought that I could do that if I had a temp root so I wouldn't lose everything. Maybe I'm wrong?
