is there a posibility to make the Mini Pro vibrate longer, when a sms is coming in?
Does anyone know a solution?

Hi,
I'm running the STAR WARS ROM version 2.7C I have noticed that I get no vibrating alerts for SMS messages, calls vibrate fine.
I have had this problem since using this ROM so wondered if there was a fix or if anyone else was experiencing the issue. I have set the phone to always vibrate but that makes no difference.

Go to your messaging app & check under notifications if the vibration box is unticked.

I have flash the cyanoace rom but i found out unlike others rom, my screen/backlit do not light up when i receive a sms, is there any special setting so that when i receive a sms, the screen/backlit light up?
I think it's the app that doesn't do it. Try using an alternative sms application like Go SMS Pro. That'll work for sure.

Is there another way without using 3rd party sms tools? Isnt there a setting to make my screen light up when I receive my sms?
try bln control its worked for me...
Try app NoLed from android market... you can set there a lot of options how to make your screen as notificator

I hate how my screen turns on when I receive an sms message. I only need the notification icon in the taskbar and the led blink and if I disable the notifications from the settings the screen does not open but I loose the other notifications as well. Any ways to fix this?

Don't know if it's possible with the stock app, however if you're willing to use a 3rd party app, Go SMS does have an option to keep the screen off and quite possibly other apps do too.

switch to HANDCENT SMS, it is the best sms app, i am using it for a year now. Go to setting and disable pop-up. Now when you receive a message, it will vibrate, led will blink, but screen will not turn on. You will ses the message in the notification bar.

That's what I'm using right now but I want to minimize the use of third party apps as much as possible . Plus with handcent sms when I send a picture or video it doesn't work. I have to use the regular messaging app in order for my mms to leave successfully .

strange, people use handcent just for mms and you are having issues ,, might be problem with settings

Still no solution for this one. I don't want to use handcent or go sms for two reasons. First I like the simplicity if the stock samsung app and second I use the direct call feature that only works with stock app. There must be a way to hack the default messaging app to stock opening the screen when receiving a message.

It irritates me also. I've used Handcent on every device in the past, but I don't want to for some reason on this one. I actually rather like the stock messaging app.
I suppose I'll go back to Handcent. The screen on is annoying, plus it creates a temporary wakelock that drains the battery even more.

the wakrlock thing is reality i am telling u, you should go back to handcent, i am using it for a year now and i just the customization i can do with it

Hi, I Really like Go sms pro but its just not that great and i want something like an ICS Themed messaging app with pop up text like go sms pro, does anyone know any alternative like that?
