Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE Boot loop - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, need help with my LTE 10.1 Tab...
If I remember correctly, I did the root located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16321915#post16321915
Anyhow, after weeks of clicking away from the update that was pushed to my device I finally clicked it like an idiot and now I'm stuck on one of two things, it either boot loops at the Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1 screen or goes past that screen and sits at a black screen.
I have access to ODIN3 Download Mode and it says "Waitting USB Cable..." but can't get USB to recognize my device even though it did recognize it prior to going down. If I click the Android Installer box option, it just reboots and keeps doing the same thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm deploying for 10 months soon and would love to have my tablet to take with me... Thanks!

I have the same trouble with my Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, if you have found a solution, please help

Well I took it into the local Verizon store and since the battery was dead from boot looping they just had a new one shipped to me under warranty... We'll see how this turns out...

This was is what was happening to me so I could not get ODIN access from the computer because the USB device was unknown even though the Samsung's driver were installed.
After some digging around I ended up installing Kies 2.0 even though this is an LTE. That did the trick. The computer recognized the device and I had ODIN access. Hope this helps someone. I know that frustrated feeling.

similar situation happened to me.
Fixed using the instructions posted here for Team Overcome.
In brief, gives you a stock firmware to flash, clean the phone, install Overcome rom with root, adds CWM, all is just fine afterwards.
Nothing like bricking your new baby first day out! Yeah, this does help fix things.

[Q] stock build for telus fascinate 3g+ (sgh-t959d)

hi there, i've searched and searched and cannot for the life of me find any stock roms or anything for the telus fascinate it probably doesn't help that I don't know what the build number is... I flashed a verizon vibrant rom quite a while ago and don't remember my methods of doing so, I've read that it's going to be a huge PITA to get it back to stock, especially because I can't seem to get it into ^&%^*% recovery mode or even get it to connect to my pc.. so any help in that regard will also be MUCH appreciated
THANK YOU in advance.. I hope!
Alright so i managed to find an all in one zip file in a tutorial post obvs i didn't look hard enough lol!
So that just leaves me with the more important predicament. I can't get my phone into recovery mode to flash with odin and my pc won't connect to the pc at all.. I read somewhere that my phone is soft-bricked???? Because of using a vibrant Rom? Any input is greatly appreciated once again
P.s can a mod change the title? Or can i? Because its slightly irrelevant to the post now

Can you link the All in One ODIN you are talking about?
I sure can here it is

coincidentally this is also the exact procedure i followed when I rooted and flashed.
so a little more information for you.
sorry about the reply taking forever i couldn't find the post on my phone and haven't had much time to sit on the computer

Says your phone model is GT i9000 so you probably flashed a gti9000 rom (Bell Vibrant / international Galaxy S).
Anyway... you need to be in "download mode" to flash via odin. I think you meant phone to pc, but were you able to connect your phone to the pc before? Do you have the correct drivers installed?
You know you're in soft-bricked if when you turn on the phone, you get a picture of a phone to pc with a ! in between. This can be fixed by a USB jig, or for some, just doing the download mode button combination while your battery is out and your usb is plugged into the computer.
What rom did you install exactly?
Yes i realise that i suppose that's what i meant but odin doesn't pick up my phone and my pc won't either. I used to be able to connect yes but now it won't I have the drivers downloaded i havent had the chance to try a different cord but this is the same cord i used to flash, so im pretty sure that's not the problem.
I guess its not soft bricked then i haven't seen anything like what you have described,
The Rom im using is called EXTRAordinary Rom or something like that ill try and find a link for you

Bump? This is a serious issue for me as my Bluetooth is not working and things are constantly force-closing...

If you have gotten your phone into download mode and your pc isn't recognizing it, you should; 1 - try a different pc, 2 - try a different cable or 3 - try both. Are you still able to get it into download mode?
Ughh I've tried every computer in my house, 3 laptops and one desktop...
My personal laptop is the only one it worked on previously, it now doesn't work, and I only have the original cable i did the flashing with originally, but i'll yoink a cable from work tomorrow do test that out, although I am seriously doubting it would work... my widgets have recently stopped working as well, they say "problem loading widget" I'm pretty scared by this point and feel as though my phone is sloooowly hardening into a useless brick. i'll update tomorrow, when I get a new cable.
um also, I've posted this question in a different thread but have yet to be answered, why can't I find the telus usb drivers anywhere? they don't have it on samsung's website,,, i haven't installed any drivers since the original flashing and have no clue as to where to find them... as far as I could remember it was ridiculously easy to find them last time....
Thanks in advance,
Antoine
try installing samsung kies-worked for me once

[Q] Only able to get to download screen - Not showing in Odin or Kies

I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer to my problem.
GT-I9100 (Sprint)
I hate to admit I am somewhat of a noob. But pretty good at following instructions. I tried to install ics using Odin.
PDA –—> I9100_CODE_I9100XXKPA_CL51925_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Phone –—> MODEM_I9100XXKPA_REV_02_CL1094591.tar.md5
CSC –—> GT-I9100-MULTI-CSC-OXAKPA.tar.md5
The first instructions I read din't say to do the pit file. So I didn't. I have read later that I should have. The process failed. And when I restarted the phone I can only get to the download screen. When I try to get to recovery I get "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." I also get the same message if I simply plug the usb into the phone while off, before any buttons are pushed.
Neither Kies or Odin recognize the phone anymore. I've tried different USB ports, a different computer. And I've hooked up a friends AT & T Galaxy S2 and it's recognized fine. Neither computer I've used even makes the beep when you hook up the phone.
The short is since it connected before the flash, and the other phone is showing I'm confident it's not PC related. But not being able to get anywhere besides the download screen has my hands tied to do anything else.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! And I have searched all over and can only find similar problems that turn out to be PC related.

Firstly... Being from Sprint... Are you 100% SURE that you have the GT-I9100? What does your device look like? Does it have a middle "hard button" at the bottom?
Product Name
It shows:
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9100
at the top of the download screen. There are the four buttons across the bottom. Not what I call physical buttons, because they don't move. I guess they would be called soft buttons below the screen.
You don't have an I9100 and are in the wrong forums.
Do you know what I have then?
Probably http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281
But you might want to check under your battery before blindly flashing stuff for the wrong device.
open odin look that kies process is not runing on the background.
Try to boot your phone the message from firmware upgrade failed will come on the screen, when you're on this screen plug yor phone it will be recognized on odin, then leave it plugged in and shutdown the phone and get on download mode it will be recognized
last flash stock firmware complete i always use the XXKI3 with pit file, all of this if u phone is gt i9100
this was what i did, have the same problem in a bad flash of stock GB firmware (2 days ago) same screen and same problem, doing that (read it on a post somewhere) helped me
I was wrong. Its not the i9100. Its the galaxy s2 epic touch. Yeah.... Im kicking myself now. I did try what you said and it didnt work. I posted in the correct thread and was told im bricked.

aw that sucks! i guess you have to buy an usb jig now! Dont worry, its cheap and very usefull it also resets your flash counter
Can you point me in the direction of where to get a USB jig?
Just figured out what the USB jig does. Wont work for me. I cant take the phone back. I cancelled my plan with sprint. I use this phone as a second device. I may have to do JTag... But its going to be $50.

You probably have thought of, and tried this but......
I have a galaxy nexus and found myself stuck in a very simalar situation.
I came accross a galaxy nexus toolkit by WugFresh, and i managed to get stock back on through the adb interface.
The toolkit automatically detected my phone and what version of the firmware it needed, downloaded it and flashed it on to my phone. It can also use the fastboot interface but adb is by far better in my personal opinion...
Maybe this could help you out, or maybe could even find a galaxy note version.
As your in a non working state atm, you have nothing to lose by at least giving it a go.
May not help, but i thought i would try and give some assistance.

I forgot about this post, sorry. I also posted in the Galaxy Note general section where I replied, I thought I would risk it and reboot my phone and it rebooted as normal...phew!...and when I when back into download mode and tried flashing the ROM again...it worked! A little wierd but i'm happy I haven't done anything damanging to my phone, watch something happen tomorrow like my phone not turning on
glad you got it working again. there is nothing worse than banging your head against a brick wall with a broken phone!!
luckily these days, it is near impossible to brick a phone completely. thank heavens for small mercys!!

[Q] Stuck in Odin mode "Could not do normal boot."

I recently got my new Verizon Galaxy S4 and decided to play around with it. I got it rooted fine and got a few apps on there (like Titanium backup) and decided that, since I would eventually want to play around with ROMs, I would want to unlock the phone.
I looked around and found there were some options for me, the one I chose being the "all in one" option that roots, unlocks and installs a custom recovery mode for you. I went through this process and now get nothing but the Downloader Mode (could not do normal boot). Even if I pop out the battery and try to reboot it, I get this screen.
I later found that apparently the ME7 model currently will not accept attempts to unlock the phone and install a custom ROM or recovery menu. How do I fix this? I tried using Odin, but it doesn't recognize the phone as being connected. I am currently trying other methods like Kies, to see if there is any way to at least to an emergency recovery and get it back to normal.
EDIT: Ran into the same issue with Kies as I did with Odin, it does not see anything connected to the computer.
Do you have the correct drivers installed? Does adb recognize the device? You're in Odin mode when you try to use Odin to push something? I believe with ME7 you can Odin back to the official stuff.

You need to make sure you have the drivers for the phone and have a solid USB connection (I prefer the rear of a tower)
sent from my GE gs4
I ended up getting it to work. I had to go here:
http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/inf/sb/CS-013541.htm
and get files to get the computer to recognize the device. Even afterwards, Keis had no idea what was going on, and Odin saw it and was able to install a stock firmware I downloaded earlier, saving the phone.
For now I will be satisfied with just root access and will wait for ROM capabilities.
I hate to hijack a thread but I'm stuck here. My GS 4 (Vzw) was supposedly successfully rooted using TWRP, but now I have no way to enter any sort of recovery. The package I downloaded for the root does not have an Odin version to run. I've been getting the endless prompts to install the 4.3 update but there is no way to do this on my phone. I get the same "Could not do normal boot. Odin mode. Write protection enabled" message with the downloading screen. I try to boot into recovery via CWM or Goomanager but it always goes to the same screen. I can't make any backups or restore now either or I would just do a factory reset. Any ideas? I'm on VRUAME7.
Um.... there's no recovery available with ME7.... are you on the MDK bootloader?
Sent from your mom's smartphone
I don't think so but how would I confirm? I'm just trying to get the 4.3 update installed but at every attempt it goes into Odin Mode and gets stuck.

You're said that you're on ME7 - what you need to do is to flash the "No wipe" ME7 ROM onto your phone. It's in the Development forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301259
You've got to update to MI1 before you can install the 4.3 update (MJ7).
ONLY flash files intended for whatever release you're running. You can't mix and match, can't go backwards, and can't skip updates.
Theres also an ml1 factory image in the dev section.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

Hi! Sorry to kind of "butt in" on your thread, but I'm somewhat of a noob and have the same exact problem as you. If you don't mind, can you explain what you downloaded from Intel and what you did afterwards that fixed your problem? I'd really appreciate it, since my phone's been dead to me for more than a week now....

On that page I linked to, look for this:
Solution:
Download and run the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility so Windows* properly recognizes the SMBus controller.
Get the proper driver download according to your OS, then install it. This should allow Odin to see the phone for you to install a clean copy of the stock ROM onto the phone.
If you want more details I am sorry to say I cannot provide them. When things involve me fixing my own technology, it is a lot of rapid-fire troubleshooting and I just go with what sticks without really memorizing what I did (so if I run into this issue again, I have to re-research).

Re-Installing Android on a Samsung Tablet - Go easy on me!

Hi
this is my first post here, so please go easy on me. I am an electronics engineer by trade but pretty old school stuff, although I am familiar with flashing microprocessor based systems. I'm not a complete fool.
I have a problem recovering a Tab 4 SM-T230. It is stuck on the initial page showing "Samsung Tab 4".
Only way to power down is removing the back and disconnecting the battery.
From there I can enter recovery mode but Master Reset doesn't cure it.
So I have Odin 3 installed and have the correct BL, AP, CP and CSC files ready to upload.
In device manager it is showing the tablet is connected and the drivers are okay.
The problem is, there is nothing showing in the ID:COM tabs in ODIN.
I've re-installed the drivers, unplugged/plugged, still can't get it to connect.
Any Suggestions? Am I going about this completely the wrong way?
I know it would probably make sense to just buy another tablet, but this one fits a modified holder used in a specific application, so replacing the tablet suddenly creates an engineering issue as well!
Many thanks in advance
Kevin

Try a different PC.
What version of Odin are you using? You need to use a version that was released around the same time the tablet was new to the market. Your tablet is from 2014 so you need to use Odin 3.09 or Odin 3.10.
