[Q] Battery Drainage/Wipe Battery Stats

Hello,
I recently got the Galaxy S2 and I'm really enjoying it! the only problem i had till now is the battery drainage issue.
Because of this issue I asked what to do and someone told me to do heartagramm's tutorial of calibrating battery, the only problem is that it says in the tut i need to wipe battery stats and i can't find it in the recovery.
1. Where is it? do i need a custom recovery?
2. Do you have a different fix for the battery drainage?
(While using 3G and playing a little the battery died in 5 hours)
Battery fix is use the battery .
Battery stats via root explorer .
No custom recovery yet .
Wiping battery stats may well just be false information >> wipe stas and in a few days your battery is better or just wait a few days and your battery is better .
Battery drain = programs draining the battery ..
may help.

[Q] Strange battery usage

I charge and unplug my phone everyday and found that the battery usage is weird recently. Any idea? Thanks.
Try to clear the battery stats from CWM recovery?
I also seem to be having this problem.
Tried wiping battery stats and tested over 3+ cycles of charging, yet still the battery usage is all over the shop with roughly the same amount of use.
I did the Battery Calibration after I flashed the rom and the battery usage was fine after that, just recently weird.
I will clear the battery stat and see what will happen. Thanks guys.

[Q] Battery issues - Last hope

I hope hope you guys can help me with my battery life. And yes it's another battery life topic!
The thing is, I've got a lot of problems with my battery:
My battery only lasts 10-12 hours when I barely use it. This is a lot shorter when I actually want to use my phone
In the top left corner it always says my battery is full even though it's not
When charging battery, the percentage goes from 70-75% to 100% instantly
The battery stats are incomplete. Since unplugging this morning the stats say it's on battery for only 9 min.
When looking at the app betterbatterystats the data is incomplete aswell.
When unplugging the phone the battery percentage stays on 100% for 1,5-2 hours until it counts down, fast. In Battery Monitor I can see it goes from 4982 mV to 4181 instantly
The things I've tried to fix it.
Setting brightness to lowest level
Reset to factory settings
Hardreset
Disabling Sync
Clearing cache
Clearing Dalvik cache
Clearing battery stats
Calibrate battery
Stock kernel with Lite'ning ROM 6.1
Speedmod T41 Kernel with Lite'ning ROM 6.1
Disabling HSPA
The strange thing is, these problems started occuring around 4-5 weeks ago. I first thought I installed some app which was killing my battery but reseting to factory default and uninstalling all app's didn't help one bit. Are there any more solutions I can try solving it myself or is it time to send the phone to Samsung (and thus having to do without the SG for 2-3 weeks)? Hope someone can help me with this.
Current specs:
Android version 2.3.4
Baseband version I9100XXKH3
Kernel version 2.6.35.7 [email protected]
Build number Lite'ning Rom v6.1 XXKH3

This is more like hardware/charger/battery problem .

Currently your warranty is void with rooted phone and or custom rom Samsung may not accept a warranty return or may charge .
Suggest flash stock rom or your original rom clear custom rom counter with USB jig .

Battery drains faster than ever & takes like forever to charge up

Hi All,
i am using a non rooted SGS2 in india. its running on the latest android firmware 2.3.6 (waiting for ICS.. )
the problem i am facing is that from past few days i see my battery drains very very quickly.. even if there is nothing running in background. i am using juice defender ultimate.. i guess its not helping either..
also it takes like forever to charge up.. i mean i plug my phone for charging at 17% after 2 hours it just reached to 21%..
at times while charging it through the USB.. it seems to be discharging.. it was at 37% after some time its reduced to 29%..
Also my phone heats up a lot for unnecessary reasons..
has any one faced this issue? please help...

first of all what programs run in background of your device?
second, what battery you use ? (1650 mAh 2000 mAh)
have you looked at your battery if the battery is working 100% or if the battery is damaged?
what rom is running on your device, which kernel do you use?
Could happen from rom. Here in germany the official 2.3.6 update was cancelled because of problems containing battery drain und reboots. Perhaps same stock rom problems in development.

i think your battery is gone. Maybe try charging it with the phone off or something. and if it it goes to 100% u can try download the battery calibration app on market to calibrate it properly. I would try everything i can before sending it back to samsung.
sounds like hardware problem mate, the phone should warm up when plugged but it shouldn't be above 35°C or so, and the slow charge problem could be related
if you can get another battery to test it out, or just buy a new one
good luck
You could try to reset your battery stats before going out buying a new battery.
thanks guys for your suggestions..
i uninstalled some of the crappy apps that i never used.. & voila my phone is back to normal .. less heat up.. battery lasts for 1 day.. hope it stays that way..
waiting for ICS..
@jeroensk - how can reset my battery stats..?
Clear battery stats boot to cwm recovery >> advanced wipe battery stats
But you will need a cwm and rooted phone ..
As battery stats do not need wiping dont worry about it battery automatically calibrates itself .
Some muppets think wiping battery stats actual does something . |It does not play any part in charging the battery or battery life on SGS2 .

have you unlocked your bootloader? if yes, change your kernel with other compatible kernel.
If no, try wipe battery cache from CWM..

That happened to me. What I did was...
01. Let the battery drain to 0
02. Charge fully offline
03. Repeat until battery drain is normal (100 to 0)
Wipe battery stats isn't actually needed. From what I have observed, the problem fixes itself over time.
