[Q] Frequencies usage - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm searching for an app that shows the use in time of each frequences.
I'm using Pimp my Cpu on Lg optimus 2x with Modaco GR3 (kernel Neoblaze).
I know there was an app but can't find it back...
thanks

Hi burnout, check out our app, its completely free and it can track by frequency and time used.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1291319
You can download it here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.smartappers.appusage

thanks for prompt answer..
apparently, it's not what I'm searching for.
I don't care about app usage..
I just need to know about frequences : x time on 216, x time on 1000, .....

There's a possibility that the app authors took their app down, or has filtered the O1 from download. Just a possibility though.
And please provide more details.

[Q] LG P940 Root?

I just got my hands on the latest LG P940 (Prada 3.0) - I was wondering if anyone knows how to successfully root this phone, as I am completely and utterly new to the Android OS.
I haven't been able to find any information on this phone.
Please advice. Thank you!
I too am interested in any developments
Sent from my LG-P940 using xda premium
Update:
I tried to root P940 using the SuperOneClick - and just as I thought that it could probably work... It hung up at Step #7 and just displayed "waiting for device"
As such, I can confirm that SuperOneClick will NOT root this particular device.
Any advice on how to root the P940 would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you
Use superoneclick 1.7 with rageagainstthecage.
Before start you should run LG pcsuit.
I don't know why the lower version works, but it really works.

Sounds good! Thanks - the only problem I am having now is finding a working reliable download for SuperOneClick 1.7
Any advice?
EDIT: I was actually able to find a working download link for SuperOneClick v1.7 - and was able to successfully root my LG P940!
THANK YOU so much for your help...
Hows the battery life? THinking about getting it.
Thx
Battery life is definitely shorter than Galaxy S II. Doesn't last me a day, maybe slightly more than half. Now trying to find a way to root so i can remove certain apps & hopefully increase it's lifespan.
Haven't used the s2. Have a lumia 800 and galaxy nexus. Any comparison with those? Thanks

What about the camera?

I use this phone daily for work. Just over a day, maybe a day and a half of moderate usage which is an improvement on the optimus 3d.
Phone is very smooth and benefits from the extra ram over the 3d (doubled to 1gb for the prada device).
Have to say i like it but can't imagine it having much of a dev scene due to limited numbers of the phone available
Edit the camera is decent and stacks up well to the likes of the S2 quite happily, 8mp with a good response/shutter time, auto and touch focus and a half decent flash.

I've tried googling for a valid download link for SOC1.7 but every link that I found was blocked by my NOD32.
Did I found invalid links? or is it normal for NOD32 to block it.

I think you might have found something that is not SOC1.7 - because I didn't really have a problem with the root whatsoever, when using rageagainstthecage.
For anyone interested in the battery life for LG P940, I get a full 24 hours at the minimum. I have attached the 'battery chart' if anyone cares to look. My phone use involves WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, Facebook, Google+, Facebook Messenger, Emails, Google Music (streaming). More so, my emails are set to auto-refresh every 1 hour. And all the push notifications, for everything, is always on. The only thing that I tend to leave off is the GPS and locations.
The camera itself is pretty decent - although I am not a huge fan of the native application that it comes with. As such, I have started using Camera360 Ultimate, to make the best use of it.
The phone's interface and interaction is fairly smooth - haven't had any issues (as of yet).
Refreshing topic, what about LG P940 and new ICS?
How to root LG P940 Prada with ICS software?
Here is guide to root ics prada firmware.

Any way to get the xap?
ok..QR code worked.
And this is the XAP but not patched.
So it wont install.
anyone knws to patch a NOKIA app?
Sign up to Nokia Beta, then You can get it from there.
I have a question regarding this app. What kind of ressources is it using? Is it like a service running in the background monitoring what's going on. Or does calling texting and using mobile data leave an entry in a log which is read out by this app.
I'm just worried about ressource usage regarding battery life

I told only one rule, Reddit, does not mean that I agree with him. I may have a link to the APK are not allowed, but I can send me a link to APKmirror.com, will allow you to download the application field. This does not mean much sense to me, if the application is free I see no problem distribution.

Awesome, it looks like the Moto G version is the new 1.11.39
MotoVoice would need specific hardware right? You would need the always listening chip or a chip with the qualcomm low powered processor (like Moto X 2014)

i dont know why they say so .. but yes , i have seen several people saying the same theory, but if that is the issue, why dont people try to port app and install on 615 chipset and make it work !!
i didn't see Motovoice working on any NON-MOTO devices till now , if that's the case why not MOTO G :crying:
the reason i am talking about MOTO G is : motoG's GoogleNow when charging can activate even though the screen is locked .. so why cant it function like this MotoX ? is it the APP alone restricting / or the chipset !! if chipset let me try on other 615 devices ..
Hope you get my problem :highfive:

The reason why is because it takes a lot of work to port it, because the libraries and .so files are all encrypted, meaning that someone would have to literally de-assemble it then work backwards to even attempt to get code working for the processor that it wasn't designed for, if it was easy then you would have already seen a solution right?

Could they be using the same processor as the Moto X 2014? If so, then it dramatically cuts down the work needed, as you have the CPU architecture executable code, its then just the higher level coding making the correct calls to the library, which non-moto phone got Moto Voice working?

The APP is looking for a specific chipset and specific library/bin/so files for that chipset, if they don't have them, then it doesn't execute, it needs these files in order to boot up the application, you may have better luck looking into the code from the Google side, looking at the Google app for the place where it recognizes the voice command, then making an Xposed module that would allow you to constantly keep listening for the command, even with the screen on, this will take more battery, but it would essentially give you what you want

Np man, did a bit more digging and found a few new pieces of info...
Moto G 2015 uses a quadcore 64 bit processor (410) with the ARMv8 instruction set, the only other Moto phones that uses this new instruction set are the other phones in this years lineup, the Moto X Play uses an octacore version and the Moto X Style/Pure uses a hexacore version, so unfortunately you don't have any files that you can directly port over to your Moto G unless they make another phone that does have Moto Voice with the same/similar chipset
You can de-compile the APK with apktool, then use dex2jar to create a jar file that you can look at with JD-Gui, this will give you a pretty good idea of how the code works, but the code may be obfuscated (mixed up), it isn't perfect, but it does a pretty good job!
Then once you open it up, take a look at the AppConstants.class file, you will see that there are a lot of files that AudioMonitor is expecting in order for it to boot up, if you don't have these files you won't be able to use it, also these files may be compiled with the CPU (.so and .dat files), so again, if you don't have a phone with a similar processor you would have to de-assemble the code and reverse engineer it to work with your CPU
This is why I would highly suggest looking into the Google Search apk and seeing if you can find how it triggers the intent, if you can, you can modify the smali or make an xposed app that uses that trigger to send your own intent to trigger Google Now
