[Q] I am new-Need Help- Rooting gingerbread.XWKI4

Hi,
I have a Galasxy S 2 and wat to root it. It is running on Android 2.3.4 gingerbread.XWKI4. What is the easiest and simplest way to root my phone so I can get rid of all the add's?
I am a noob in this field so I hope one of you can help me out with a clear instruction. Thanx for your time and effort!
Cheerz,
Daemyon
Welcome, but don't forget that "search" is your friend...
Start here, then read and search some more. Don't rush.
Remove "add's" - do you mead advertisements on apps, or additions/bloatware (apps you don't need/want)?
Find the KI4 kernel in this thread & use it to root your phone. Read the first post in that thread carefully, follow the instructions to the letter & you shouldn't have any problems, assuming you have either an I9100 or a I9100T (check the sticker under the battery to make sure before you do anything).
P.S - For future reference, questions belong in the Q&A section of the board

Yes I mean advertisements in apps, those are the most annoying. I will check the thread you have sent me, thanx!

I will check the thread and see if it gets me anywhere. I read somewhere there is also a possibility to do it on one click. you download something on your phone, run the programm through a restart in download mode and then it is rooted. Is that possible as well? I have a I9100. I will put my threads in the proper forum next time. Thanx!
If you mean SuperOneClick, yes, that is an alternative way to root your phone other than Odin/CFRoot. I've never used it so I have no idea how it works, do a search on here & find the thread devoted to it.

[Q] Recovery for Xperia Go

Hi !
i'm new on this forum so i'm not allowed to ask devs in dev section. So i ask this question here :
Is there anyway to get CWM on a Xperia Go ?
Thanks for your help !
just a file trough flashtool would be the best
1) Never EVER ask anything in the dev section
2) RTFM

i know i'm not allowed to create a thread regarding this question in the dev section and that wasn't my goal. I wanted to ask krachlatte in his own thread if there is a way to extract his CWM from his kernel, and then apply it trough fastboot. I allready have stock ICS from Sony, i don't need krachlatte Kernel, i just need CWM. But i'm not allowed to post in a dev thread for the moment.

How to root S3?

Can someone please help me step by step how to root S3 i9300 and install recovery and custom rom? Or can anyone link a good video tutorial?
Is it safe to use ROM manager to install a recovery? I know some years ago that program was not safe.

I knew someone would say that and I would say that myself to people if I was experienced, but I am asking because I want to be sure, the sticky threads and all that can be old information, there may be new versions out etc..
But okey, nvm guys I figure it out myself.
even being old the process remains the same... just folow the instructions in this link and you will be rooted
