[Q] Errors installing CM7 Nightlies - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I have the stable CM7 installed, but when I try to install the nightlies I get this. I know it's the correct file, and have tried different versions too.
Edit: Sorry about the small picture size, it's all they'll let me do.

stick to stable

Looks like you tried to install the i9100 version. Make sure you donwload the ATT SGS2 version and as of right now we do not have nightlies except for the once in a while updates Atinm has put out which you can get from the nightlies thread second post. We should be getting the nightlies pretty soon though.

[q] cyanogenmod 7.1 info

Hi guys, i'm using KI8 stock with siyah 1.8 right now, and it looks like one of the best configuration for galaxy S2.
Anyway, i'm very interested about trying the famous cyanogenmod 7.1 stable, and i just want to have some judgement about it...it's faster and more battery safe than a stock? it's the best?
[NIGHTLY][ROM][GWK74] CyanogenMod 7 (w/ Gingerbread 2.3.7) for Galaxy SII Q&A contains 6,602 posts relating to CyanogenMod, or since you mention 7.1 "stable" (it was later changed to RC1), [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S II :: V7.1.0 RC1 (9 Oct 2011).
There is no stable release. There is a lot of issues and you should really wait and go with MIUI or one of the modded samsung roms for now

Wrong. There is a stable release, and you can download it from the link posted above. Also, it's not full of bugs, but if you're going to try it, I suggest you go for the latest nightly; it should have more fixes than the stable build. However, it's an experimental build, so be prepared for weird things. I'm using it since a long time, and it's really stable on my phone.
Also, learn to f***ing post in the right thread

Which is based on CM7 and therefore would contain most if not all of the same "issues".
in the cyanogenmod official page the rom it's called "stable"...and anyway i think MIUI has more issues than CGM...

[Q] Newbie SGSII user questions

Hi!
I've just bought a SGSII. Before, I had a Motorola Milestone with CM7 for Milestone (thanks kabaldan!!). I'm thinking about flash CM7 on my SGSII but I want to know some things.
1) Is CM7 for SGSII similar to CM7 for Milestone? Because I hate the samsung home launcher, notification bar, etc. I want stock calendar and nothing of "social hub" or similar crap apps.
2) Is there another ROM similar to CM7 or better? I don't like themes, just the original GB is OK.
3) What version of CM7 I must flash? I've been reading a lot of threads about, stable but *not* stable version, nightly version (every day), etc. How much important are the bugs on the last nightly versions?
Thanks.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
1. cm7 is identical for every phone
2. no idea
3. just flash the latest nightly

[Q] Question about cyanogen

Well i put the stable version of Cm7 on my s2 and i've been having a problem with the sound not working sometimes.
1) Is this normal for the stable version or should i start using the nightlies?
2) would there be a chance that my s2 would brick since its unstable?
3) Whats the biggest Pro for nightly users?
4) And would i lose my app once i flash a nighty version?
Use the nightlies. The build bot has some issues, so there were no nightlies for several weeks. #116 is the latest.
Not really, unless you mess up the flashing, by not following the instructions.
You get new stuff / fixes faster?
Nope, unless you wipe before. Which is recommended if you're not coming from CM.

You might have to flash a couple of the other major ROMs out there and see what suits you. What's best to one might not be best to another. I currently like the Evervolv ICS ROM because the GPS is the most stable (no crashes) than on any ROM I've ever run, including stock and rooted 2.1. I like other features of ICS, but there's caveats like the camera doesn't work right.
I ran GSB for a long time before that, but as CondemnedSoul's was compiled most recently (off of more recent source files), I'd be tempted to stick with it unless there's something in particular you find lacking.
The official CyanogenMod ROM was updated recently for the Eris as well. I haven't tried the most recent version. For a reason I don't remember, I didn't use the old version for very long, and I went back to GSB at the time.
i just got a an eris.... i flashed couple evervovl ics and cm9 but of all were very slow and mic didn't work. Surprisinly, evervolv jelly bean worked the best - mic works, phone, txt, etc.... but camera doesn't work..... give that a try outside gsb....

Hey do you, or anyone for that matter, still have this rom file? If so, it would be extremely appreciated if you could either share a dropbox link, upload to another mirror and share the link, email it to me, or any other means to share the file. I am asking on another forum without any luck so far, and I would like to give this rom a shot.

[Q] Sbrissen's Fascinate JB Build

Hello, I'm familiar with sbrissens work for the E4GT, however I'm unsure about the fascinate build, is that build compatible with this fascinate model. Flashing a JB rom for a friend's phone, so I'm not familiar with Fascinate models.
Otherwise if someone has positive input about Paranoid Android or Helly Bean which are the other two candidates I'm looking to test drive if sbrissen's build is uncompatible.
Thanks in advance.

Haven't tried the sbrisson JB rom...but I can vouch for the AOKP build 9/27 and Devil 1.6 combo for the Fascinate. Completely stable for me, gps locks, sms and mms work, and it's smooth smooth smoooooth. Everyone is different and every cell is different so most will say to try something out and see how it works for you, if it's not a good fit, flash something else! Good Luck!
