how to have google apps (market specially) wid cyanogenmod 7.1 rc 2.1...n also cant log in google...
Hmmm...on the first boot in CM7 you sholud have options to log into your gmail account, and after first run of Market you should have an option to choose which gapps you wan't to install...strange...
Flash gapps then sign in to google it will work

just flash the RC2.1 and connect to a network(WiFi or mobile network) and the market should appear in app drawer..
If it doesn't, than open File explorer and go to system/apps and find "Vending.apk", tap and install, and you'll have the Market app.
done...but with terminal emulator...in dev tools i found market disabled...so gave command "pm enable com.android.vending" n app activated...

I'm running cm7 on my vibrant.
I installed the update 31 and used cwm
I checked to install Google apps. But everything but the market installed..
Tried another 2 times, still didn't install.
Can someone send me everything I need for the market? (Besides just the .Apk)
Anyone kind enough to do this for me?

First use a file manager and check /system/app for vending or other market app files and delete them.
Go to settings, applications, manage, all.....look for market and vending, delete them if they are there.
Reboot, then redownload the google apps.
Go into recovery, wipe data/factory reset.
Flash google apps package again. Fix permissions, reboot again.
Latest google apps......

if that doesnt work reflash cm7 or go back to stock with odn and then reflash cm7

I rooted my optimus v using gingerbreak which i downloaded from mediafire. After that, I downlaoded rom manager and installed ClockworkMod and also downloaded a rom that was supposed to be Ice Cream Sandwich. I installed that rom but forgot to backup my phone first. The market app stopped working and when you click on the app it would go to the market and a message would pop up saying that i needed to log in. When i clicked log in it would close the app. After that i read about reinstalling the app vending.apk and market.apk but neither of them work and now my phone is screwed up. Can someone please help?
try adding a google account under settings>accounts and sync (select add account, then select google)

I am running MIUI on CDMA and I do not like Google search w. Google now. I used root unisntaller to delete the app off the ROM and installed an .apk I had saved. The problem is when I reboot my phone the original app restores is there a way to permanently keep it the way I want it?

Try this. Go into system/ app folder click on the apk's properties and uncheck all the permissions then delete apk and reboot. Let me know if that helps.
Hello, my motorola atrix with/ ginger bread crashes all the time I want to access to it. This happens since I install an app call "freedom", so I diceded to do a hard reset but it did not wor. Then I did a factory reset But it remains the same. I change the time and I finally could enter my gmail account, but the google play still crashes.
I did a hard reset again, but now The "market" app does not appear when setting up the phone. I downloaded it externally, but it reamins crashing can you help me please....please
reflash your stock rom.
or if your phone rooted, try to push vending.apk to folder system/app and login with another gmail account.

ok, I have my phone rooted, i put the vending apk on system/app. Now I am going to log in with another gmail account. Should I install google play? what follows? or should I execute "vending" form the folder you told me?
thanks..
well, I installed it from system/app and it remains crashing
vending.apk is googleplay it self.
hmmmm, lets try erase applications data in settings > application > googleplay.
if it still can't work, i only recommend you to reflash your stock rom.

What Android version?
You can install apps from the Market/Play Store/Google Play, for this first add an Google Account to the device.
To install apps downloaded outside Play Store, you should go to Config > Security and then check Unknown Source. You could use some File Manager to install then, like ES File Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
