[Q] Sixaxis Controller on n64oid - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

I just downloaded n64oid and I have a PS3 controller that I was hoping to pair via bluetooth to play. Im not sure how to do this, though. Does it require root? I've looked and I can't seem to find any answers for the flyer. Any help is appreciated.
Also, is this possible with a wiimote as well?

If the flyer is anything like other HTC devices, the sixaxis will not work because HTC uses strange bluetooth kernals on their builds. You can try the https://market.android.com/details?...patibilitychecker&feature=more_from_developer once you have root to check if it will work.
Changing to a different ROM based on Cyanogen would fix the issue, but I don't know if it's build available for the flyer and you'd probably lose some features like the stylus.

So far Sense 3.0 will not allow connectivity. It's deep within and I hope someone can figure it out.

[Q] Which ROMs will allow an Wiimote to connect?

It sounds like the bluetooth stack on most Vibrant ROMs including stock will not work with apps like WiimoteController. The only one that I've seen that is advertised to do so is Cyanogen's. Does anyone know of any other ROMs that use the older, or UK Bluetooth stack that will allow this app to function? I'm currently using Nero3 and wouldn't give it up for anything.... accept maybe the ability to play River City Ransom with a physical controller.

No one is gonna answer this yet because the scene is too wild with gingerbread and all being out from the nexus s, The problem is that the nexus s uses bluetooth 2.1 hardware, so we wont be seeing anybody adding another one to it like cyanogen has. I waited patiently for the last 5-6 months and nothing has changed. and nothing will unless other manufacturers start using the same stack, or some developer re-writes ours, we will see.

DOES THE WIIMOTE WORK on the EVO 3d?

Does the wiimote work with the EVO 3d stock rom(rooted or not rooted)?
Does the PS3 remote work?
Please, I don't can about the first Evo so if you own one good for you. It is a different phone. I just need a simple proven answer. It has been months since it was brought up and the phone has had updates since then.
Also, if it does work, what apps are you using to run it?
No, it doesn't work.
Via My HTC Evo 3D On The Now Network From Sprint.
It will work if you're running cyanogen or miui the aosp based roms. It has to do with the Bluetooth stack that's used in sense.

Gotta be on an aosp ROM. They work for me on cm7.
Whooo! (Cole Voice...)
THANKS
It was a pain trying to find that answer. Maybe it will work with the next update...
or I will try it once CM7.1 fixes all the bugs. And hopefully others who are wondering will see this answer and know once and for all.
"This new update means Android tablets will also be able to act as a USB hub and you'll be to hook up devices such as mice and keyboards and game controllers to tablets and smartphones."

Not sure how trustworthy this is, but it sounds good...
Just wanted to update anyone who read this post!!!
It appears someone has figured it out. Here is a link to a youtube video of the guy who made the app wiimotecontroller.

Here is something else I found. Not sure what to make of it or what this app does. There is an app called "Bluez IME". It is specifically for a few HTC and Samsung phones with stock rom. I don't think it works on the 3d but I will keep you posted if it does. You can connect multiple controllers and some wiimotes(I guess they made diffent ones).
Anyone no more about the Bluez app?
***Just tested it, it doesn't work. It finds the wiimote but it won't connect. Sucks!!!*** For what its worth it might work with other controllers.

[Q]Bluetooth Tether?

Being a forum mod, it will be doubly bad if i have missed this somewhere, but i swear i searched, and found nothing much..
SO, I just joined the rezound family, up from my incredible.. my warrenty was void within hours..
One of the big things about my Inc was the ability to tether with WPA2 encryption.. handy in the work environment where they don't want too many open hotspots.
Now, i have already thrown a ICS rom on my Zound, since my current tab (Touchpad with CM9) does not support ad-hoc (from what i have found). But, i have always longed for BT tethering, since it is the least obvious (again, managed work enviroment).
For all the talk of wifi, has any real progress been made using BT? Given that ICS is still a but unstable, i wouldn't mind going back to GB, but would need other tethering instead of ad-hoc.
Any advice (aka.. your free chance to slap around a mod for not finding something obvious... )
I have searched far and wide for this with little success. I think the answer is to wait for cm9 to come to the rezound. But that is probably months away.. :/.

After more searching, i still come up short. We really cannot be the only two hat needs bt tether...
Doesn't open garden support BT tether?
I've looked as well and haven't found anything. I know PDA net has that option, but I've never gotten it to work properly.

I use PDANet to Bluetooth tether my Mac. I'm on a mostly stock ROM. Works great but slowly (since my Mac is a 2004 model).
But I know it works on GB.
On ics, you should be able to select routing fix (and mms clamping?) And choose cdma GNex in google WiFi Tether app and use infrastructure.
I did it on Ineff ICS.
+1 to this problem. My phone's battery would make love to whoever figures this out.

[Q] Bluetooth problems

Hi,
I'm having a lot of problems with bluetooth on my thunderbolt. I've tried different bluetooth devices and different roms. After a couple days I can't even turn on the Bluetooth on the Thunderbolt, it won't let me enbable it.
So my question is, what affects the bluetooth functions on the thunderbolts? Is is the radio, is it the cdma radio or the 4g radio, is it the rom? What are the components that go into the bluetooth functions? Thanks for any advice.
anyone? I might help me troubleshoot the problem.
I don't have answers to your radio questions, but I do know there are ROMs with specifically-tuned BT goodies.
So reading through the features list and trying one with BT specific tweaks may be the way to go.
If none work, I'd speculate there's a hardware issue, yet once the right radio, rom, kernel mashup is found,
it usually works.
Tried Liquid Smooth or ProTekk, or Thunder Shed builds? BT works flawlessly for me on all those.

Unrooted phone and returned to stock and still having problems, looks like it's a hardware issue. I'll try and return phone under warranty. Thanks.

[Q] HTC One X+ Sixaxis Issues

Hello, I'm new to the forums and looking for a possible answer on why the HTC One X+ seems to be having so much trouble with activating the BT driver on the Sixaxis Controller Application.
I have a AT&T model HTC One X+, unlocked and rooted with QXSenseless v2.1.
I've tried several different custom ROMs including:
QXSenseless by Hasoon2000,
InsertCoin v1.1.3 by baadnewz,
CyanogenMod 10.1 by Lloir, and
AOSPA 3.15 by solomon56.
I know some of those are not finished but I tried. Anyway, none of them have worked in activating the BT driver. Does anyone know of a BT mod or a specific ROM that works for the BT on HTC One X+?
Much appreciated.
well the last two is easy to answer
they are unfinished!!
as for the 1st two no idea

Think you are out of luck for AT&T right now
Should work on AOSP 4.2.x roms with BLADE kernel for International
From what I understand, the bluetooth driver that app needs does not work with HTC's bluetooth stack, and I haven't found any way around it. Other bluetooth controllers should work though. It sucks, but it's a solution.

Examples, please. "Other" doesn't really help me.
