I don't think you can can you? But I wouldn't worry, it'll come in time. I have a lot of faith, especially with how fast everything else is happening. The phone has only been out 2 weeks today and we have perm-root and recovery both fully working. Now just to get some ROMs going and hopefully full dual-core support.
You should be able to do it through recovery in the form of an update.zip file.

Can you please be kind enough to test this for me... Will the entire Rom flash if its renamed to update.zip including the kernel...?

That depends on the rom that's being flashed. Make a custom kernel in the form of a boot.img and I'll try to test it by recovery.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
With the htc unlocked method you might have to flash kernels by booting recovery from fastboot because it has the proper permissions

The kernels I have used have also included system material as well as the boot.img - will that limit what can be done?

So the kernels would have to be a separate zip from the Rom?

Not necessarily. Many developers include a custom kernel with their roms.

All it does is allow you to choose what images to restore as opposed to a normal restore which restores all partitions.

I think I just messed up. I was following the direction to put the original stock on the device as advised but when I locked the phone it stuck on the HBOOT / Bootloader screen.
How can I fix this??

Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA
if you are looking to flash bamf, I think you have to root it first. Unless you are flashing stock rom, you must have your device root first.
Yes, it is rooted....

After you flash both the rom and the kernel (boot.img) flash that zip.

Yea it has been disabled on the Rom I'm running, I was just curious if it would cause problems if I took the update. I'm still learning the ins and outs of rooting. But I understand what your saying, I've seen some time that the ota push was not disabled.

I believe it will fail at the bootloader stage when it encounters a non-stock recovery.
I'm running stock n all I did was flash stock recovery via boot loader then download n install the ota, then flash cwm recovery via bootloader then flash the su zip then boom rooted ota

You don't flash the PH98IMG.zip in recovery, put it on the root of your SD Card and flash it via the bootloader (power off, pull battery, power back on while holding volume down til you get the splash screen)
That is what I did I'm not that much of a noob good thought though.

You can try it, but I'm not sure if it'll work. Unless you're asking me if you can flash 2.3.6, in which case, the answer is yes. In case something goes wrong, you may want to backup.j

You should try booting to recovery and wipeing cache and data... You probably still got some jelly bean stuff foating around. Might want to flash a kernel too. Entrophy's daily driver if U.S; rj's if INT.
Any success because I'm in the same boat you are but just thinking about buying a new one. I feel like it's going to be extremely to complicated to fix.
