ROM with MHL + BT Controller Support. Any? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

That's basically it guys, I need a ROM that has BT support for my Sixaxis app to work, but I also need a MHL Working ROM! Every ROM I try has either MHL or BT working! Cyanogen and MIUI ROMs have BT, but no MHL, and Samsung Based ROMs have only MHL working! Help please!

Sixasis supports stock Samsung ROMs now.

Ohh Yeah, thanks alot! But now I'm stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S2 Screen, something must have gone wrong during ROM installation! What am I supposed to do?

HDMI issues?

Hi guys,
Is anyone having trouble with the GS2 HDMI cable? I just bought one and when I connect it to the TV it says "connecting" and then "no signal". I know one end is the HDMI out, the other is the USB in and the side one is the usb power feed. I´ve tried the power feed by connecting it to the tv and also tried connecting it to the GS2´s usb power charger....both times no luck. If you click on "sources" the HDMI port shows up as active but there is no signal. I´ve tried in 2 different TVs and the same happens on both.
Is there something I have to activate on the phone?
I´m on 4.0.3 - baseband I9100XXIk4 - build Illusion-ICS v1.01 XXI.PB-I9100
I´ve tested with a stock GS2 and it worked...got some static and "no signal" at some point, but overall it worked. Too bad it won´t work on my ICS

I don´t think it does. I´ll wait for the official Samsung ICS release.
Same problem with HDMI out
I have the same problem after upgrading to the official 4.0.3. Did you get it to work?
Sadly not. I guess when the official ICS comes out this will be fixed.
I have the LP7 ICS ROM and HDMI works fine. I have the Internation version of the SGSII and using Samsung's HDMI Adapter and it is powered from the mains power supply.
SO there is not a problem with ICS compared to GB.
I'm using this ROM GT-I9100_WanamLite.DXLP7.Deodexed.Stock.NO-WIPE & HDMI works perfect. It is a Samsung based ICS ROM.

[Q] What Roms support A2DP?

I'm trying to find ICS or JB Roms that have A2DP support. Until today I've been running Unnamed 2.2.1 which works great with my car's stereo and I'm able to stream pretty much whatever I want.
But wanting to update my phone to the latest android versions I started flashing some Roms and I haven't found one that would stream music via Bluetooth to my car's stereo.
Roms I've tried so far with no luck are:
CM9 Stable
AOKP JB (10.5.2012)
Slim Bean
SuperNexus Build 2 & 3
Aberration 1.3
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
I've been able to use A2DP to my car stereo on both cm9 and cm10. Make sure you delete the pairing on your stereo before connecting again after you flash a new ROM. That may be your problem.

Thanks for the response. I deleted all the saved paired devices from my car and I tried again with both CM9 stable and CM10 latest nightly and the stereo receives the song's info but it when I press play it the phone gets stuck playing on 0:01 of the song and nothing happens after that.
A2DP seems to be broken in a lot of kernels from reading around the dev forum. Try a different one.
Edit: Kernel, not rom.

Thanks for the response. I installed CM9 stable with the next kernels:
Siyah-v4.1.6-mswap
N.E.A.K-2.0.6x-AOSP
fluxi-xx-I777-7-29-2012
And still no luck getting a2dp working. I'm starting to think that it might be my car's stereo, I have clarion head units on all 3 of my vehicles and they all use "Parrot bluetooth module" whatever that means.
What I still find weird is that the Rom I'm running right now works great, so I guess I'll be running GB while I figure out how to get this working with a ICS or JB Rom.
I too am having the same problem with the A2DP support. I just flashed my 1st ROM on my GS3 and I'm not getting any audio through my car stereo speakers. Are most of the JB ROMS lacking this support? By looking at most of the posts, A2DP support seems to be broken. Almost makes we want to revert back to stock ICS :crying:
ROM currently running: Codename Android 3.6.6

Or you could look at it this way: He's providing another data point that says that a different JB rom on a different device has the same problem. That more than likely points to a problem in JB with A2DP that is not just on the i777...

No, I look at it like it's about a different phone that has nothing to do with ours. And needs to be posted in the proper section.

which ROM does it not work for you with? Also the adaptor needs to be powered by micro usb , and the order that the cables get connected seems to matter. Connect to phone last, trial and error for other two.

I'm on CM 11-20140104-NIGHTLY-e970
Monitor: ACER AL1917W (DVI connection)
Micro USB-DVI adapter: iKross MHL
Connecting LGOG last indicates no connection. I am certain LGOG is powering since screen remains on.
It is why I ask if returning to SnowLeopords stock rom will restore MHL.

You could likely even just use a different AOSP-base rom, no need to go all the way back to 4.1.
I know for a fact that Houstonn's 4.3 PA builds work with MHL, and I believe the official CM10.2 build also work.

I can confirm it is working on Beanstalk 4.4 also , using Samsung MHL that came with Infuse.
Do you know what kernel has MHL support for CyanogenMod?

I installed the Beanstalk 4.4 rom which included the slimkat kernel. The mhl worked. I purchased a rocketfish adapter and plugged it into my hdmi tv and all seemed well. Unfortunately my LGOG started to get very hot. I reverted to my old CM 4.4 with cm kernel and heat problem solved but alas no mhl output.

cm10.2 mhl works. Joy.
Edit: Recent developments suggest I was wrong regarding the 10.2 rom. I reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine. I cannot get my dvi monitor to work but my hdmi tv works great. So I must purchase an hdmi monitor in order to have my LGOG serve as my desktop PC.
My thanks to OMGMatrix for suggesting 10.2 as a solution.
@XDFernando, try the 10.2. I think you will find it easy to get along with.
CM11 now supports mhl
I upgraded from 10.2 to 11 last night and tried connecting to my hdtv and lo-an-behold it mirrored my LGOG, even rotated the view.
I have also not working
CM11 MHL Working
I'm pleased to announce that I have reached my goal of replacing my desktop computer with my LGOG. I use bluetooth mouse and keyboard and connect my LGOG to an $80 LED HDTV via MHL adapter. I was inspired by this blog http://www.livingdigitally.net/2012/02/using-a-mobile-device-as-a-desktop-computer.html. YouTube videos now play through MHL without a problem. My thanks to the CM11 post by shellnut. I'm using the latest CM11 nightlies with the gapps-kk-20140105 and 3.4.0-CM+ kernel. Pretty neat.

Using my S2 in my car.

Hi all,
First off I may be in the wrong section i have the samsung galaxy s2 t989 (t-mobile) but i can't find that forum.
I already have the hell kat rom on mine right now so installing custom roms is not a problem. I wanted to know if their was a custom rom that is specifically tailored for use in the car.
For example it would have the car dock built in, a gps app that can be used without data, wake when it is connected to charger and stay on while connected. Voice control for music ect...
I know i could just source together all the specific apps i need. But if its out there why re-invent the wheel.
Any Ideas?

I'm using CM11 Kitkat, and it comes with all of those features your looking for. Haven't heard of one for the Hercules specifically designed for a car, bit all of it should come pre-installed, after you flash the rom, and gapps. The only issue with the CM11 Rom I'm using now, is that the bluetooth doesn't really work that great, if at all. It is a nightly, but I haven't really had problems... Check this out:

[Q] SOKP M2 4.4.4 - i9305 - MHL Cable

Hi,
I have purchased an MHL cable so when I transfer movies onto my phone I can watch at the girlfriends house however whenever using this rom, it does not work, and all i get is no signal, I tried on a mates phone and it worked perfectly, however he did not have the SOKP rom.
Is there a way to make it work on this rom (as it has the best battery life for me) or do I need to ask the developer? (not enough posts yet)
