Short answer nope.
You can stop looking cause there will not come an " awesome app for all the noobs so they can hack the world"
But i think that one nokia phone could do it, maybe nokia n900 or n9000 but im not sure

OMG im not a noob and i did look on Google. But all i find is this IwifiHack but no ware to download it.
Backtrack 5 can do what you want. If you can install that and hack WiFi with it, you definitely are not a noob.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Hi just bringing this one back up as there is a lot of people that are looking to crack wpa from there phones and a lot of people looking to do so and again a lot of people saying it can't be done.
So 1 it can be done i can crack just about any wifi within 3 to 5 min from my android phone "that is a droid 2, got it for the keyboard ^^"
2 it will cost money as you need a remote server or you can use your pc but it will take a long time... but its free...
I'm not posting the apk that i made as its my tool "the hacker makes the tools, the tools don't make the hacker".
But here is the way to do it, all you need your phone to do it to get the handshake thats easy and light to do any smart phone are day's can do it + the cap file i light to so easy and fast to upload to a remote server.
here is were you need that remote server or pc running linux "backtrack if your lazy". once you uped your file to the server you can do all the rest over ssh again can be done no problem with your phone i do it every day "not just for hacking/cracking".
you run your scan to fin the password on your server + you don't even have to have your phone on all the time and don't have to stay next to the wifi spot to stay incognito.
and you done, you can even edit the app up to mail you when its found the key "i have not done this to lazy lol"
there i hope that helps some people to point you a way to the road of cracking wifi's.
peace out !!

In response to that long post, I'd have to agree with the guy above me... You're not cracking on the phone. Which IS possible.
I'd like to know how you put your wifi adapter in monitor mode. So far I have found no drivers for any Android fone except the notorious nokia that allow for monitor mode or injection.
Cracking can be done with the aircrack suite by passing the cap file to it. I run it under debian in a chroot that had r/w access to the Android and root filesystem.
Cracking works. Monitor mode doesn't. In short.
Edit: injection is needed for wpa2 de-Auth, which is needed to sniff the handshake. At least as far as I'm aware. I've never done it without booting a client off.
Are you sure you've even captured a handshake on yer f0ne?

There have been a "team" which had successful edited a driver allowing for bypassing the kernel blablabla **** in short term the wifi chipset bcm something is running in monitor mode but the kernel / driver only takes a bit of the info passed from the wifi chipset.
What those guys did was editing the driver = allowed monitor mode. But I think that the thread is a bit dead now

Haha you're probably right. I don't think much is going on this thread.
Do you know what that team's name is? I'd be interested in helping them.

Good morning everyone,
To keep it simple, I am looking for an app/mod for texting through the PC.
For example, a text comes in and it shows on my PC and I can answer back through my PC.
Phone: Rooted HTC Evo 3D MIUI latest.
PC: Windows 7 Pro.
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thank you beforehand.
Best regards,
Raul.
Can we please just answer this guy and not go off like kids for once? Sorry man but I can't help here. Hopefully someone will be able to. Please make sure questions are posted in the q&a section.

And, it doesn't require ROOT. Incase you were wondering.

I used to use Google voice a lot for voicemail but once I figured out its integration with SMS, it got really annoying. I didnt want it saving all my text messages in its system and having to delete them every week while going through my voicemails. I even went through all the settings, but was only able to either dissable all SMS on the phone, or let it handle the Texts so I deleted the app until they fix that.

To be completely honest, I don't know. I use it every day when I get into the office. My phone goes in the dock and connects to WiFi. I run the program and open the browser, login, and I'm good to go. I can listen to my music from my phone, read/answer text messages, look at pictures, install apps. The only thing I wish it did was emulation of your phone, but it's not necessary. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.
What your asking is exactly what Google Voice does. I have it and it's pretty great. On sprint it's integrated so you can even make your number the GVoice number so no problems there. I would suggest that.

Desksms is an awesome little program. I remember when it first came out. Koush does great work.
Really great to see the community not flaming this guy and being mature. Makes me wanna come back and read more often now that we can all be a little more civil.

I already have it up and running but I am having trouble with the network. Keeps giving me an error every time I try to send a text. Other than that, the App seems very solid. Can't wait to find out everything it does.

Like I said, I used it as well but I hated the fact that it was all my text messages and they would not delete after deleting from my phone. But the main reason I didn't like it is that it would sync together with the voice mails so I would have to dig through all the text to find the voice mails.
Speaking of Google voice, any one know of an alternative?
I am rooted with MIUI but voice mail doesn't seem to work on it.
What do you guys suggest?

I still don't understand why people act that way. If your not a moderator, then don't say anything. Its not your job unless you want to give someone a heads up, but don't kill the guy. Its not like I go on the forum and say, today I am going to post in the wrong section on purpose to piss people off. Either way, if posting in the wrong section bothers you to the extent that you have to ***** the other guy out, you spend too much time in front of the computer. Go outside and get some fresh air. Q: Is GVNotifier portable?
A: Yes, copy the application files from the GVNotifier install loction. Create a blank text file named settings.xml in the same directory as GVNotifier.net.exe. GVNotifier will then store all preferences and cached contact photos in the same directory.

I think you have to use chrome because it has a chrome extention.
Hey wats up ppl, I was wondering is there a program like peerblocker for android.. I recently download ttorrents on my prime and i so badly want to download some stuff, but scared to.. Dont want to get another letter
Are as long as Im running peerblocker on my pc, will it also protect my prime downloads under the same network??
I'd like to find one as well. Also, how does one bypass network filters for torrents/websites on android? Finally, is there an app to change your IP so it seems like you're browsing from another country?
Interested in something like this as well

No. Peerblocker is only a host list that aren't allowed to connect to your computer. It works only on the machine running it.
The best is to protect your LAN by VPN for example, if your router allows it, but good VPN servers are not free, and it's not Android, so google is you're friend.

Because you require the driver files to let it be used as a mass storage, it's been mentioned before, I would suggest not using a company laptop that has it's user privileges restricted. A little searching and reading will come a long way

I just PM'd you but found my way back here...
In settings under storage I can only view what is using what and how much of what is being used. No other options are available from there.
Edit: missed the second question again... yes just got it the 29th I think, it is only $0.99 in the market right now 50% off. Seems to work great with only a couple settings programming errors like setting for starting in favorites starts me in latest but setting to start in PMs starts me in favorites (subscribed threads), I used XDA Premium but got a refund when 90% of links I tried failed and other things. Went to using tapatalk full version I got free from getjar, but it expired one morning and when searching why I found hd. Was happy to send .99 to xda. so far no problems with links or anything else. I did have to get used to the layout being different again, but it was worth it. Kinda ICS like I think in where to find things. Also free upgrade when ICS its officially released. can't beat that for.99 oh yeah a few other things if like, such as page numbers and easier access to post smiles, but still cool.
Sorry of topic....
Get back to installing drivers in your toaste.....uh PC.

Not that I'm knowledgeable about myself. I only own a wireless only tab and don't really know for sure what carrier lock means for certain. I would think that it means the company that provides the phone access to your tab, such as verizon, sprint, at&t, or whoever else it could be has locked your device. If you know who the carrier is someone might know how to unlock it, but sometimes they just cannot be unlocked at all. At least from the little I've read, thats my thinking.

But I don't understand how can they lock the download mode to not flash (import) anything into tab.
Sorry but they can. Even if you don't understand.

it's a god answer. Thank you..
Sorry for the short one liners Mod's don't like when the talk deviates and thread "ends up being a longer than it should be"
However that doesn't apply in the bedroom, If you know what I mean
ANYWAYS! yeh carrier locked tablets are those done by major telecom companies to avoid any other carrier being used on the tablet. Like a Verizon's tablet will only accept Verizon's SIM's (Sorry I'm not from UK/US to know that). Most lock it so that if ever you do break their wonderful "terms and conditions" and they revoke the tablet (<a year) from you, it's to ensure that it doesn't void the warranty of the tablet. Since rooting voids it.
Is their a good app that I can Look through my home laptop webcam from my Phone, to like keep watch?

Okay I'll check that out, I looked at that already but it seemed like it was for special ip webcams or something, not a webcam built into a laptop.
This sounds interesting *rubs hands*

Indeed there is, I use an app called "iCam"
It's 5 bucks last I checked and it's impossible to Pirate.
Supports up to 4 USB (or built in) cameras to be viewed at once on screen (with sound), and from multiple computers at once as well...
I used to use it back when I was on my iPhone, it's also available for Android.

I see the app for windows, but what about a receiving app for android, how would I view my cam in real-time on my phone?

Impossible to pirate, eh?
Edit: Found a working apk for version 1.4.1.
Yeah, the apk will open, but it won't let you communicate with the servers. Derp.

I hate to be that guy.. but talking about pirated apps is a huge no no on xda and can get you banned. Because you are on a site for developers. That would be like going to a music artist's page and talking about how you steal their music. I'm not a goodie goodie by any means but there is a time and place for everything and this is not the place for that
Found one!

It's called Gaaiho. Tested it out and does the job just fine, and...for free. :good:
(new user here, can't post the link; just search "Gaaiho Cam.")

You think being a developer means you don't pirate software? Lol. Hell, they pirate more software than the average person does.
Halfcab was to root our phone - a simple process according to them. in 3 days they have managed to brick one of our phone and then not properly root the second. Now it is working very poorly. now they have blocked our emails and will not respond to us. According to them a simple download is needed so why are they not responding. Avoid as you probably will not get what you pay for.
Better taking the advice and know how from the xda site, rather than some dodgy phone guys...

They are ADX Developers. They never had possession of our phone. Any paid to have it rooted because we honestly don't know how to root the phone. We open to suggestions.
We just wanted a simple root but they have messed up. We were naive I guess.
correction: these guys are XDA developers.
They work under different names and email addresses so watch out.

You have been trolled. For hard cash no less.
I find it no mere coincidence that if you look at their forum, this is the most recent post:

Are you sure it's bricked? You can't get into recovery or use adb?
Personally, I wouldn't let someone I've never met remotely flash my several-hundred-dollar phone (if that's how it was done). But that's just me.

I would let the unlimited.io crew or con247 toy around with mine remotely; such has been done during the initial release of the JuopunutBear S-off method. But only because I have observed them to be legitimate developers seeking to better user experiences and knowledge for knowledge's sake. Definitely not some random XDA reader with a website storefront and access to other people's ROMs and tools.
Edit: read the post below this one. Then read it again; it pretty much sums up the situation.
I a firm believer that if you can't root your own device, you should be stock... Hell I'm even against the one click root utilizes for inexperienced users.. part of having root is the understanding that you are now tech support..the only way your going to learn is to do it the hard way. Not by plugging in and clicking root... Ever notice on any forum for a phone with a one click, there's a ton of "help I'm bricked" threads... Funny thing is you never see these before one click is available...kinda hard to become tech support if you have zero knowledge of what a Linux OS is and how to move around with terminal..
Basically I almost don't feel bad for the scam, shoulda took the time to learn what's involved with being rooted...sorry

Guess this is one time I'm glad I didn't make the cut.. advise to OP next time ask someone for help and then donate to them if you want..
that sucks...but it honestly is partially your fault...i cant rembember the last time i handed someone money or bought somthing without doing research...google is your friend ...if you would have done research you would have realized you were getting a kick in the nuts for 60 bucks...take it as a lesson...
