Hey wats up ppl, I was wondering is there a program like peerblocker for android.. I recently download ttorrents on my prime and i so badly want to download some stuff, but scared to.. Dont want to get another letter
Are as long as Im running peerblocker on my pc, will it also protect my prime downloads under the same network??
I'd like to find one as well. Also, how does one bypass network filters for torrents/websites on android? Finally, is there an app to change your IP so it seems like you're browsing from another country?
Interested in something like this as well

No. Peerblocker is only a host list that aren't allowed to connect to your computer. It works only on the machine running it.
The best is to protect your LAN by VPN for example, if your router allows it, but good VPN servers are not free, and it's not Android, so google is you're friend.

Yea I'm either looking at getting a Vpn r a proxy service.
Hotshield is a nice free Vpn service and Iblocklist has a new proxy service dats not to expensive..

So how many people on this Vibrant section really have a need for this ATT app..
This totally sucks ....lol
Its for people with AT&T u-verse. It has nothing to do with T-Mobile. Its a cable service.

Epic!! Finally i can set recordings on the go for my uVerse TV, thanks for posting.
For those who are clearly confused or dont know how to read, This app is for AT&T's uVerse TV service, NOT AT&T Cellular services. If you dont have uVerse, then move along

WHAA!! You are confused my good sir. This app is for AT&T's TV cable service U-Verse, not there cell service. It allows costumers of AT&T's U-Verse cable service to view a TV guide and also set your home DVR to record. So me finding this I found it EXTREMELY useful, and I'm sure others did also. You seemed confused on it... assuming it was for cell service and in that case I would agree that it would of been pointless to post, haha.
Uverse app
Thank you so much. It is great to finally have this on my Epic.

You can stop looking cause there will not come an " awesome app for all the noobs so they can hack the world"

Backtrack 5 can do what you want. If you can install that and hack WiFi with it, you definitely are not a noob.

Hi just bringing this one back up as there is a lot of people that are looking to crack wpa from there phones and a lot of people looking to do so and again a lot of people saying it can't be done.
So 1 it can be done i can crack just about any wifi within 3 to 5 min from my android phone "that is a droid 2, got it for the keyboard ^^"
2 it will cost money as you need a remote server or you can use your pc but it will take a long time... but its free...
I'm not posting the apk that i made as its my tool "the hacker makes the tools, the tools don't make the hacker".
But here is the way to do it, all you need your phone to do it to get the handshake thats easy and light to do any smart phone are day's can do it + the cap file i light to so easy and fast to upload to a remote server.
here is were you need that remote server or pc running linux "backtrack if your lazy". once you uped your file to the server you can do all the rest over ssh again can be done no problem with your phone i do it every day "not just for hacking/cracking".
you run your scan to fin the password on your server + you don't even have to have your phone on all the time and don't have to stay next to the wifi spot to stay incognito.
and you done, you can even edit the app up to mail you when its found the key "i have not done this to lazy lol"
there i hope that helps some people to point you a way to the road of cracking wifi's.
peace out !!

In response to that long post, I'd have to agree with the guy above me... You're not cracking on the phone. Which IS possible.
I'd like to know how you put your wifi adapter in monitor mode. So far I have found no drivers for any Android fone except the notorious nokia that allow for monitor mode or injection.
Cracking can be done with the aircrack suite by passing the cap file to it. I run it under debian in a chroot that had r/w access to the Android and root filesystem.
Cracking works. Monitor mode doesn't. In short.
Edit: injection is needed for wpa2 de-Auth, which is needed to sniff the handshake. At least as far as I'm aware. I've never done it without booting a client off.
Are you sure you've even captured a handshake on yer f0ne?

There have been a "team" which had successful edited a driver allowing for bypassing the kernel blablabla **** in short term the wifi chipset bcm something is running in monitor mode but the kernel / driver only takes a bit of the info passed from the wifi chipset.
What those guys did was editing the driver = allowed monitor mode. But I think that the thread is a bit dead now

Good morning everyone,
To keep it simple, I am looking for an app/mod for texting through the PC.
For example, a text comes in and it shows on my PC and I can answer back through my PC.
Phone: Rooted HTC Evo 3D MIUI latest.
PC: Windows 7 Pro.
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thank you beforehand.
Best regards,

I used to use Google voice a lot for voicemail but once I figured out its integration with SMS, it got really annoying. I didnt want it saving all my text messages in its system and having to delete them every week while going through my voicemails. I even went through all the settings, but was only able to either dissable all SMS on the phone, or let it handle the Texts so I deleted the app until they fix that.

To be completely honest, I don't know. I use it every day when I get into the office. My phone goes in the dock and connects to WiFi. I run the program and open the browser, login, and I'm good to go. I can listen to my music from my phone, read/answer text messages, look at pictures, install apps. The only thing I wish it did was emulation of your phone, but it's not necessary. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.
What your asking is exactly what Google Voice does. I have it and it's pretty great. On sprint it's integrated so you can even make your number the GVoice number so no problems there. I would suggest that.

Like I said, I used it as well but I hated the fact that it was all my text messages and they would not delete after deleting from my phone. But the main reason I didn't like it is that it would sync together with the voice mails so I would have to dig through all the text to find the voice mails.
Speaking of Google voice, any one know of an alternative?
I am rooted with MIUI but voice mail doesn't seem to work on it.
What do you guys suggest?

Q: Is GVNotifier portable?
A: Yes, copy the application files from the GVNotifier install loction. Create a blank text file named settings.xml in the same directory as GVNotifier.net.exe. GVNotifier will then store all preferences and cached contact photos in the same directory.

I hate to be that guy.. but talking about pirated apps is a huge no no on xda and can get you banned. Because you are on a site for developers. That would be like going to a music artist's page and talking about how you steal their music. Hi Guys...
I'm sorry for posting here such a question but i couldn't find anything around the web to answer my question. and i'm very desperate to find an answer cause it's a matter of life or death nowadays in my country (Syria).
recently tor (orbot) and all VPN services was shut down by the government to ensure more internet censorship and i wasn't able to find any alternatives for my PC except Ultrasurf although it's not very secure. but surprisingly i found a VPN service for android called Fearless Mobility VPN Which was the only VPN service that is still working.
So my question is... what's the difference between Fearless Mobility VPN and other VPN services i.e Hotspot Shield that enabled it to work after blocking all other VPN< is it a Protocol related issue? and can you suggest other services VPN similar to Fearless Mobility or HTTPS for PC or android?
many thanx in advance for your help and my apologies to the moderators again for posting here..

So my question is... what's the difference between Fearless Mobility VPN and other VPN services i.e Hotspot Shield that enabled it to work after blocking all other VPN< is it a Protocol related issue? and can you suggest other services VPN similar to Fearless Mobility or HTTPS for PC or android?
many thanx in advance for your help and my apologies to the moderators again for posting here..
regards

Have you tried the App Puffin Browser?
I know its not a VPN, but I'm pretty sure you can access any site without restrictions.

If you don't bother to read the rules and think they don't matter - you're a noob, no matter how long you've been around.
That sounds me like an angry child LOL

Maybe pay for a VPN (I use witopia here in China). This really has nothing to do with the Galaxy SIII though.
