I just transitioned my google plus account over to my google apps and now I can't use the google plus app on my phone. It just says "The server encountered an error. There was a problem communicating with the server. Please try again later."
Yet, I can access my google plus account fine on my computer, and I can sign in with my regular gmail account.
Anybody else using google plus with google apps notice this issue?

Solution!!
I found a solution...
The Google Plus 2.0 version for ice cream sandwich was released some weeks ago...
Try this:
1) Uninstall de current version of Google + App on your phone.
2) Download the official release (attached in this post)
(The .apk file name is PlusOne.apk, but is the 2.0 version actually, dont worry about)
3) Copy to SD on your phone
4) Install the app...
5) Open the app and select your Google Apps account
6) Ta daaaa!!! =) Enyoy!

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Though, when I tried this on my g2x, I wasn't able to create new posts. I'll settle for anything at this point.
Update: It worked! Thanks a bunch! (Sadly, I'm still having trouble creating new posts.)

Thanks for the effort, but no joy for me. The app installs cleanly, but when I select my account to use, the app just sticks on the "signing in" box...
Thread moved to Q&A due to it being a question. Would advise you to read forum rules and post in correct section.
Failure to comply with forum rules will result in an infraction and/or ban depending on severity of rule break.
No need for the heavy-handed language, orb.
Thanks for moving to the correct forum. I'm an infrequent poster/frequent lurker just looking for a bit of help. As are others on this topic, evidently.
I just got it working as well
needed to do the same thing, remove and then install from the site and now is looking all good !! THX
For me it worked, but now my contacts are crashing.
Using a HTC Desire HD.

This version handles reads great, but can't post. It's a step in the right direction for sure.
Update of the standard version
I unstalled the new version in the market. This solved my problem.

Does anyone have a modded stock email app that will bypass exchange security requirements such as that found on the galaxy s2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117452&highlight=email+security
Modding the app is quite easy and only takes a couple of minutes
What I would really like to find is the Email app that supports Client Certificates like my S2 does
This email app is really becoming a problem I'm able to sync my email with my Wifi at home and via 3G, but at work i keep getting security errors etc. Can someone assist with an APK guide on how to remove the default Samsung mail.apk and only run the exchange one?

I'm not sure what error your running into.
But my university exchange account didn't work with touchwiz email, it worked fine after using the aosp app. That and touchwiz widgets are ugly beyond words.
Here is how I managed it, i was quite surprise it worked to be honest:

But ensure that you tab is rooted

I could be wrong, but the instructions in Bluemotion's link seem to be how to restore the stock HC email and calendar apps. What we're looking for is a modded version of the app that removes/ignores any security restrictions set by the exchange server.

You are right. I am looking for a modded version to ignore the security restrictions. The one for the Galaxy S2 works great.
I actually purchased an app for my s2. I paid $2 for Enhanced Email and it ignores all the security stuff. They have since raised the price to $10. I use it on my Tab, but it's not tablet optimized - though he is working on one with a tablet layout.

Thanks. I quite like the Samsung app, so will try and persever with this. I have got it working great on the S2 so it can't be too difficult on the Tab 10.1...
This app supposedly was the best way to delete all your facebook posts/likes/etc instead of manually doing it.
The app has seriously been disappeared (facebook tinfoil) Gone from playstore and any link to the apk.
Does anyone know why? Does the app still work?
If anyone has it or a link to the actual APK I'd love it.
I've been googling my ass off for 2 hours looking for the APK.
I've never seen an android app that completely disappeared from the entire internet.
Impossible to find it. I challenge anyone to try I give up
its easy to find ( i cant post links new member ) google exfoliateapps one word and will be your first hit the page has a link on the bottom that sends you to a link for playstore and no, the app no longer works ( as far as i can tell )
it looks like either facebook blocked the authorization app where you click to enable it to use your data ( same as any game authorizaion )
or that facebook app just no longer exists
the program opens fine and logs in fine but doesnt get the permission needed to interact with facebook

no the app simply does not exist (as far i can google). the best method (which is sporadic and isn't exactly an exact science) for me is to use imacros which is a firefox addon.
this isn't exactly for an internet noob though. i cant post links but if you google 'how to remove old facebook posts' the 2nd link should be from a site called zdnet. follow the instructions there to use macros to delete your old data. good luck

try this ..... 4megaupload.com/exfoliate-for-facebook-apk-download.html
Via 4Shared - I have not installed this myself, so use at your own risk
Does this still work for Timeline?
Doesn't work
Another option?

An app that allows you to record in UHD or 4K. I own a phone that has a 4K camera capable of 4K images but not recording. I would like an app that forces my phone to record in 4K video.

i think you are new user on android. if you are new then i would like to provide you a idea about a security app. Theftie basically works with xposed for make sure your device is safe and you can track from your google account. But i don;t know why last year due to some unknown reasons theftie was taken down from playstore by google saying it violates its terms and conditions. The developer was clueless. There are lot of reasons for this may other bigger players force google to remove that app or for whatsoever reason it no longer works.
Now you will say me why should i am telling you this. I would like to make of you can an app which does not rely on google for tracking your phone. It should be able to track and should be based on some other web interface. You should have a look at avast anti-theft features ...
you will have to creative whether you choose xposed for making it not simple but you need to make it apart from google services. so that even google will not be able to take it down...
so do you want an anti-theft App or a tracking app

i was about to make thread regarding this yesterday only.. but huge thanks to you that you made it.. BUT WHY ARE YOU LYING THAT YOU FOUND IT..? Now coming to the Apks, YES these two are sending users data to Xiaomi servers, but not 24x7 as its mention in news. Many users including myself aware of this when it came on miui forum 1 or 2 years back, So every time I update latest beta build i manaully delete these apks. :good:

you are lying it again dude, i dont know why. more you lie, you will dig yourself deeper... It was almost trending on facebook and popular android websites(as i have subscribed so many tech and android websites) from last 2 days, .. it came on aajtak website yesterday, they published 4 times the same article on thier FB page. Yes it came on miui forum once, but though the website is own by xiaomi, they deleted the thread after 3-4 days.
Now coming to you findings, first question, why did u uninstalled it? though it is a system app, how did you came to know its useless or spyware..? According to you it came back after you uninstalled it, Let me tell you, It only comes back when you install a system update, and everyone knows here, when you flash updated MIUI version, every system apps comes again with it. even you loss root n xposed too. So if you updated your software, then you must be knowing everything, and there is no reason for doubting how it came back. And if it came back without updating, then You are BUSTED bro.
Second thing, Only titanium backup shows analytics.apk .. and no other System app uninstaller shows both of them(as far i have used), So you need to go through specific directories to delete them(root). and most time there are many copies of the same application in diferent locations, So you have to delete all of them and thier caches,

Anybody have this app? Beause on site download are not avalaible. "The “LZPlay” website and download links are no longer accessible. Even if you grabbed the APK before it was gone, it no longer works, as the special certificate required to access the “backdoor” is either revoked by the developer or Huawei. In addition, existing devices that used LZPlay to install GMS no longer passes full SafetyNet Attestation, rendering many apps and services unusable, such as Google Pay and many games."

Sorry to tell you that LZPlay method has been definitely banned by Google and Huawei. The full story is written in this XDA post but - good to know - there's a happy end for all of us: a brand new method.
It has been described in that post for Huawei Mate 30/30 Pro, but many users says it works with success also for Honor 8x/9x.
Hope it helps you (and let us know if it resolved your case)
