I have a very bad problem right now, my newly Samsung Galaxy S II was off after the battery was empty, so i plugged the normal power charge to the electricity and plugged the cable into the phone, it was showing the battery logo with a green light confirming that it's charging.
I was outside for around 4 hours , then returned home , i tried to open the phone from the power button but it's not opening.
Pulled of the charger cable from the phone and tried to open but it's not opening.
When holding the Home button for long while connecting the phone is connected to the charger it is showing the battery logo with a half freezed loading circle , check the attached pic for more information.
I removed the back cover and the battery then put them again , then tried to open it but it's not opening.
I'm very sad to face a issue like this after 2 days of receiving my phone.
Please help me what can i do?
Try charging it for atleast maybe 5 - 10 mins then unplug the charger and try to turn on your device..

If it's not working correctly and you've not done something to cause it, of course, that's what a warranty is for.

First of all, thanks in advance if you can give me a solution, maybe a 'light' to solve this problem.
I just got a new stuff for i9100, I mean, just a cable microUSB male to USB female, then started to try different things and see what's happen.
Here is the cable that I'm talking about:

So.. tried an usb mouse and just fgot the point at the i9100 screen, very funny, left click get enter and right click take you back.
Than I put a simple usb hub (4 inputs) with wireless keyboard (micrsoft) and mouse (logitech), it appears a msg like 'usb hi-power input attached' on notification area, then everything freeze, totally!!!
Took usb hub and cable away from i9100, phone still freeze, any buttons response.
Took battery away, waiting for a few seconds. Phone can't turn on, screen still black, tried download mode (vol down, home, pwr button) can't get in.
Attached i9100 to PC by original micro usb cable, then screen get on with that green battery icon (as when charging), but it blinks and still can't turn on the phone. Tried to see if it answer the adb devices command, without luck!!
Will be so glad if any of you guys can help me with this problem!
THANKS!
You could try charging it for 15mins then remove the charging cable and try to turn on your device.. maybe it just fully drained..

Maybe it's a case for JIG, what do u think guys? any idea?
I'm desperated!
GOT IT!
Tried to get into CWM by pressing HOME + VOLUME UP + POWER at the same time.
During CWM, instead of Wipe anything, just hit 'reboot system now'.
Phone restarted succesfully!!!
Looks like the android system could not get some file to start it normally, freeze stills after remove battery. Then forcing it to reboot by CWM then it start the boot process by the begining. I don't know, maybe I'm saying bull****!! LOL!
Now, I'll think twice before attach something by this f*cking cable!
- pendrive formatted as FAT can be read by this cable, also usb mouse.
- external ntfs hd doesn't work.
Glad to see you're up and running again dude.
Glad you solved your problem mate

Dear Folks!
There is an annoing problem where I need your experience!
I use CM10.1. Some time after fresh flashing, this issue comes over and over again.
When I plug my phone to charge, car dock icon appears in the notification bar.
(I don't have car dock, phone has never sit in car dock candle!)
This icon shows and hides randomly and my phone reboots sometimes.
I don't know why is it happening.
I don't have car dock. I use only a simple USB cable with adaptor.
I tried many roms before, and other cable too, doesn't work.
Please help me, if you can!
* Edit 1 *
I mentioned this icon as "car dock" but it's name is "car home".
* Edit 2 *
Last night I have experienced this issue I found the only way to charge my phone. This method very simple. Restart S3 to recovery mode (TWRP). In recovery mode, phone will charge without problems (w/o reboot and freeze). Morning I disconnected my phone, restarted - afterwards I haven't got this charging problem again! I'm testing now.
Other forum says, you just have to clean microUSB socket. My phone was clear, but it could be a solution too.
Can you just post it one screenshot with this "car dock icon" ? TY

This is exactly what I want to do. But this issue not comes over since morning. I try to rebbot and plug the device on charger and USB cables. I don't know why, but it is now stable. I must wait until it comes over again. I am ready for it, installed screenshot app and logcat.
I just found an external image where you can see that icon too. That is the third icon on the screenshot.

Hi, i bought a Samsung smart led lamp, that connects using Bluetooth Low energy and MESH network to control color temperature and on/off with android app,( which haven't been updated since last year) it seems like Samsung suddenly killed this project, with no news about it, its a great and useful smart led lamp but the app is not working properly, i had problems pairing in first place as app kept crashing but after i got it to work there was no problems, until i updated my s5 from 5.0 to 5.1
after that the app loops between searching and re requesting connection to device, and every time it loops the lamp dims to show a connection attempt, but nothing else happens, so i cant get to menu, where is a option to re-initialize the lamp, ( which doesn't seem to working as well) there is no buttons on the lamp and no info about "manual reset", i tried a fresh install , a different phone and phone with kitkat, but all just crash and loop, also when i try to pair using Bluetooth menu it gives me a error: incorrect pin or password, but it doesn't ask for one, i tried the "forcestop bt share" etc but nothing seems to work, also no stop form Samsung and the email address they give in app page in play store is not in use.
also the log of crash points to : source method: FindViewUnlocked and stack trace starts with: "java.lang.illegalArgumentExpection:View=android.widget.FrameLayout{fe9f3fd V.E.... .....I. o,o-960,192} not attached to window manager"
So now for the real question: is there a way to manually reset the lamp or bypass the pin/password?
sorry if wrong subforum or etc

Hello XDA!
today the screen on my Galaxy S9+ G965F/DS suddenly stopped working. I can hear sounds while it turns on and while its on if i tap on something, LED is sometimes blinking blue while on, red while charging and green if charged. But the screen stays black no matter what i do.
Tried: Soft reset, with USB connected and not connected. Booting into recovery and odin-mod.
Connected to PC i see s9+ in explorer, while in odin-mod i see the device showing in that mod too.
Unrooted and untoched firmware.
Before I send this device to repair, or try to repair it by myself i would like to hear some suggestions what else i could try before opening dat device.
Cheers and thanks to everyone in advance! :fingers-crossed:
If the screen isn't working in download-mode, there is nothing you can do. Of course, you can open the phone and try to fix the problem, but then you will lose your warranty. The best would be, if you bring it to your operator, or the shop, where you buyed it. The repair should also be free, because you havn't root your phone.
Try to backup your data over the PC. You can also try to start the device, plug it into the charger, and leave it for at least 24 hours. Then it should backup your data to the Samsung cloud.
restarted in recovery and connected phone to pc and found it on adb

@profi_fahrer not afraid to loose warranty since its samsung and yeah everything that i need is already backed up.
potentially clear back incoming
update: another thing i noticed is that haptic feedback/response is like lagging and coming a bit later then it normaly would
Update:
Got myself an USB type c to HDMI adapter to check if gpu-unit is working... and it is.
So atm I am thinking about opening the device and looking into the problem.
As far as I understand this, failure could be in the display flex cable. Or the display itself. But since its an AMOLED and Pixels are drawn separately from each other..
Checked all sensors, touch, fingerprint reader, all 3 cameras.. Everything is working as should. So weird anyway.

Hi everyone,
I've just bought a brand new display for my sm-t860 that I haven't used for few months. After I installed it and turned it on I was happy when I saw familiar logon screen appearing. Unfortunately my joy only lasted for few seconds as screen switched off after android loaded up.
It happens every time I try to power it on. After system loads screen instantly switches off in the same manner like when you press the power button to turn off the display. It even makes the same sound even though the button wasn't pressed. You can see whole sequence on attached video.
Anyone have idea what could be the reason for this error? Tablet was fully functional before changing the display.

Anyone has idea what this chip is? I noticed it was getting extremely hot when the home screen loaded before display went off like always. Then some absurd idea came to my head and I started tapping it repeatedly while booting. It did a trick as the chip were getting less hot and display stayed on for few more seconds. After few more series of this treatment display stayed on for 10 minutes and I thought the issue is solved. Unfortunately after I opened numerous tabs in web browser system froze and never recovered.
I couldn't even power it on after that so I laid it off for 30 minutes and it's working again but the chip is still getting hot. Tapping works but I need to find the source of this issue rather than try to deal with symptoms.
