I´m thinking about having a wireless setup for charging my Atrix, both in the car and my bedroom. I´ve been surfing the net looking for a solution that will fit the Atrix but without any significant success. So far I´ve found universal clips for Micro USB that might work. But if my memory serves me the Atrix charges at a different voltage than other phones, right? Does any of you guys know if there is a powermat or something similar that will work with the Atrix?
I saw another thread about DIY inductive charging, did anyone get this to work for the Atrix?
I´m gonna keep searching for info but I thought it would be a good idea to throw the question out here on xda .
Peace

I asked this question a couple days back in a different section as have yet to get a response so I figured i'd be more specific here.
I require a car charger with 2 mini USB connectors to charge both my GPS and Hermes. Can anyone suggest a supplier please?
Do a ebay search for "car splitter" when i do i get about 31 results as im in australia.

I got one of these and have my 838 in one hole and my gpslim in the other. Works a treat.
Just watch out not to play bendies with the cord as mine is now playing up cause i bent it too far but otherwise it works great.
I've not seen a Y-Cable as such..
You can get a cigarette lighter adapter with 2 USB sockets coming out of it, that would do what you want as well.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dual-Port-USB...ryZ14968QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Is it what you are after?

Thanks
Thanks to Nick for ur reply but i'm trying to keep the amount of accessories I carry with me down to a minimum so that isn't what I am after.
Thanks sam for ur suggestion, i had spotted one of those before making the post but it wasn't exactly what i was looking for.
Finally thanks very much butpatbut for that link. It meant i actually took the time to read the listing rather than just eliminating it but looking at the picture like I had been doing while trawling ebay before posting the question. It turns out that is exactly what i am after, problem solved.
Thanks again ppl.

You can find a mini-USB power Y cable here:
http://pc-mobile.net/dcadapter.htm
While it will work with Holux, it will not work with Tytn unless you add the mini-USB intelligent power adapter.
Does anybody know if this solution is going to work:
http://www.buygpsnow.com/universal-...dell-x51v-etc-charging-tip-available-856.aspx
They have an optional mini USB tip (p/n DC-S100) that can be attached to the non-usb lead of power supply. Thus we are going to have a dual power adapter with 2 mini usb leads. The only question: is this going to work with TyTn?
Great site with tonnes of info, anyway. I picked up a wallaby recently for very little $, i coulnt find the charger for it. Ive seen a pinout on this site to make a usb conection which is wonderful. But i was wondering if anyone had any info on other phone chargers that would work with the wallaby?? It seems that getting a proper charger in Australia isnt as easy as i'd hoped.
Yay, answered my own question, got a car charger and this wallaby works, For $5 im not complaing, time to look and see what to get software wise, awesome device!
Hey XDA. I recently upgraded my phone to a Motorola Photon 4g.
My problem is this:
The phone has a usb input and micro hdmi input.
I bring my phone with me, almost everywhere; however, because I spent a lot of my time at the gym (24 hr fitness), my battery gets low and I cannot keep the phone on long enough (unless airplane mode) without it dying.
My gym has the Nike + Ipod hookups which are mainly dedicated for charging iphones and ipods and also used for video/audio support.
I was wondering, is there an adapter for a male iphone/ipod to hdmi or micro hdmi which I can use to charge my Photon at the gym (even if I cannot get audio/video? I think I have seen some male pin ipod/ipone pin adapters for regular hdmi, and I figured I could then get a regular hdmi to to micro hdmi adapater to see if that would be an adequate work-around?
I'd love to at the "very least" charge my phone at the gym, but my main concern is compatibility issues and/or if the use of multiple adapters may cause voltage or charge/related issues (e.g.: overheating? or future problems down the line?) A while back, I saw a project for a serial to usb DIY project that may work?: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8245
Can anyone offer some advice? Last thing I want to do is brick my phone.
Even a bluetooth or wifi male ipod/iphone pinned adaper to my phone might be cool also? Any advice?
Thank you so much.

Hmm....I could be wrong but thought one would need an MHL port to charge via HDMI.
I can't offer you a solution to the ipod adapter issue. However, instead of spending money and time trying to modify something to work, might just get a portable battery charger. I have the Splash Intense one and it charges my phone fairly quickly and can do it about 3 times before it needs recharged. Plus, I can charge 2 devices at once if I want to. The other nice thing about this is it can be used anywhere and I even tether it to my phone and put both in my pocket. This way my phone is always on me and charges at the same time.
If this is something you are interested in: http://www.energizerpowerpacks.com/us/products/xp4001/ or just search Amazon for different units.
Sorry if this info doesn't help you.
Hello,
I need some help, I'v been trying to track down a universal charger that has an adapter tip for the Atrix Lapdock, as well as an Asus G74sx Laptop the voltages are the same between the two Iv tried searching around and can't seem 100% on any results. I want to find for a universal charger that will work between the two. Anyone have any info on this I'd appricate it.

Here's a thread with some details on the charger so you can at least narrow down what it is specifically you're looking for.
Biggest help is that the part number is Motorola SPN5639A. Unfortunately though, the few instances where I have seen one, the price is $50 or more.
thank for the info
thanks for the info, I was looking through my chargers and I noticed that the entry of the Lapdock was the same as the PSP, but the pin is far behind and no contact, does anyone know of any entry similar to the psp but for laptop?

You'd need a charger that matches the voltage and polarity, as well as meeting the amperage requirement. Just being able to plug it into the lapdock itself isn't going to help. There are universal chargers that come with a selection of plugs if you want to go that route.
Edit:
Some laptops, such as some by Dell, have a way of identifying the charger. Those will typically have 3 contacts on the connector. Luckily, this does not appear to be the case for the lapdock.
Can someone tell me the exact pin size of the replacement charger it need to be? I'm struggling to find one.
I can give you details to make one yourself. I will involve hacking a standard laptop charger and using a small pin ordered from digikey. PM me if you need more info.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you happen to fry your lapdock using this. Though I can help you make sure the hack is correct, still its no way to tell unless you are capable of using a multimeter.
