Is there any reason for my phone to reach a solid 50celcius without overclock and charging on the gingercruzt rom? This happens frequently

Delete that Sony Ericsson event thing. Go to the app called system, you will see it's eating CPU all the time,

I have a few issues on my X10..
1. The in call volume is too low.. When I'm outside I can't hear a word the other person is saying.. Is there an app to fix this?
2. Battery takes ages to charge up.. Sometimes around 8-10 hours!! Plus it hardly runs for around 14-16 hours.. Any fix?
3. I feel my phone is not smooth and stutters and freezes frequently
Any fix?
I'm on 2.3.3 wolfs break btw.

1. Try DooMKernel.
2. Use the stock SE wall charger.
3. Overclock.
1. How to install doom kernel?
2. Ok. But the phone still uses up the battery very quickly..
3. Again won't over clocking use up more of my battery?

You can search for doom kernel in xda.
Overclocking will consume more battery. If you don't have buge apps running, underclock it.... But again ubderclocking gives instability.
Ti make the phone charge faster put it in cool temperature zone, like under direct air conditioner or over an ice pack. But remember not to let the temperature fall below 33degree Celsius, else it will moisten your pcb.
Use ac charger instead of usb

you should also be aware that using a custom kernel(for improved in call volume) your battery will drain a little faster.
I've been having problems with my phone overheating and shutting down becauase of it. What's a good app to monitor battery usage and system temp?

Batterysnap might work for you. Has a widget that monitors temp and percentage, and keeps a running graph of battery level (% or v I believe) vs. time.
Elixir2 might also do it...definitely monitors those items, and has widget capabilitiy, but I don't specifically know if you can set up a widget to monitor them live...
I don't know of one exactly that is meant for it, but you can setup SetCPU to warn you and then underclock.
Cpu is often awake! And sometimes it keep waking up which drain battery dramatically even charger won't charge or slow! While i'm off to bed, I've been charging my battery for 5 hours when i woke up it's 20%. I'm on stock and ka speed kernel i even undervolted 75mv!

I would suggest the following: wipe cache and dalvik, flash Advanced stock kernel (build 11 is the best) and test. If the issue persists, look for the app which is draining your battery.
I think it's walkman app! Because i just stop listening to music before going to bed! Maybe it kept cpu to wake continuosly!

To to Settings > Apps > All and disable any app you don't use, especially com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup. There is a bug in Sony's ICS firmware which doesn't let phone sleep properly when Wi-Fi is disable, so keep it enable even thought you are not using it.
For more info check out this thread.

In ICS xperia p battery is consuming more power as compared to GB. I have set brightness to 0%, auto syn off, Mobile data disabled, but still battery level drops down too fast.
There is no battery full notification in xperia p.

Try this:
Fully charge your phone, switch it off. Check after 2-3 hrs, and see if the battery level has dropped. If yes, then, its the problem with your battery.
IF not, some app is draining through a ditch.
Install GSAM battery monitor, and use its app usage.
One more thing, screen calibration is also missing in sony. So how to calibrate screen?

Dolphin Browser = 9%? As much as a game?
That's quite high if you ask me. I use Chrome and it never gets more than 3~4% of battery usage.
I'm not on a P but on a S, but the usage figures proportionally should be comparable.
I check with gsam, screen and kernel is eating my battery. My screen brightness is at 0%. Dnt knw why.
I attached the screen shot.

Strange.
Heres Mine.

Use your phone normally, and when it's 15% attach the graph alone, from your phone (not gsam 's).
Screen usually takes around 50%,and it's normal.

@Acer wow.... nice to see your fone battery timing.

Hi all, I apologize in advance for my English, I'm french and I'm still in school.
Here is my problem :
For some time, I noticed that my Xperia U loses its vibrations for no reason and it returned after lock/unlock my phone.
I notice that this bug occurs when, for example, if I move my applications to home screen or when I type a message.
It's pretty dérangant and I like having vibration in my phone, I know is strange ...
I want say to you too, I have try an reinstall of my ROM, but don't change... The bug is always here... :crying:
I thank in advance those who will try to help me and especially one who solve my problem.:fingers-crossed:
Cordialy, Drakomord.
Do you have a battery saver app? Usually it turms the vibration off when ur battery is low
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
No, I don't have this... :/
It's just a bug on all versions! Sometimes you press it once but it vibrates twice!
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
But I happened overnight, it stops vibrating for a few seconds and all come back. But it often happens to me while I write on my keyboard...
Just change your governor to performance
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
I can't, my kernel don't have CPU control :/
If you are rooted them download no-frills cpu and change it there

Don't run on performance governor, it puts the frequency at maximum clock which will cause severe battery drain and processor damage if you overclocked. Its there only for dev purposes
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda premium
I noticed a while ago when I was writing a message and at the same time I had the bug, and I received a message, my phone vibrated but when I was typing on my keyboard does not vibrated.
So I decided to lock my bootloader to repair via PC Companion and install B.1.54 (B.1.89 I am there ... but I live in France and we do not have the 89).
I think the problem come from software and not hardware.
I say you news after !

I doubt it that he is using a kernel with oc support because he mentioned it previously! It is there to use it if you can't stand lag but it doesn't save battery
