Stock Email - Mark all as read ? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can the stock email allow you to select all as read, just at present I am selecting emails individually and marking them as read or deleting, am I doing something wrong, as I can't seem to find select all and mark as read, thanks.

Nope, there's no "mark all as read" feature. But you can do a multi-select and delete.
Just go to your unified inbox/inbox, hit the "menu" button, then press the delete button. you'll see checkboxes next to each email - select multiple emails and delete.

In sgs 1 in stock email app i was haveing the option of multi-select, and after that click mark as read...this is the most feature that is missing to sgs2. So multi select is working only for deleting...bad very bad...

having problem with deleting emails on my hd2

my question is how do you selected all emails at once and delete them instead of deleting them one by one ? can anyone help me ?
Go to the mail tab, hit the Inbox button, then from the Inbox, select the menu/options button and you'll get a list - scroll it up till you see "Select messages", hit that and choose "Several" or "All"....job done (Hitting several allows you to touch each required message to select/deselect it - much like using the Ctrl key with your left mouse button on your PC).
Hope that helps,
Mark.
thanx alot i was lost for sec trying to figure it out lol

Does Anyone knows how to delete bookmarks on samsung galaxy s2 i been trying for hrs and just cant delete them thanks
Hmm, you mean tap-and-hold on a bookmark, pick "Delete Bookmark" from pop-up menu does not work for you? Scroll that pop-up menu down if you do not see the "Delete Bookmark" option.

you are still not being clear
I think what you described lead to the list of bookmarks at the end. So there, on that bookmark list screen, tap and hold any bookmark you want to delete, a pop up menu would appear, scroll that menu down to "Delete Bookmark" and tap that menu item.
When you browse internet, there will be a star button on top right corner of the screen. Tap it, inside is your selection on bookmarks. Now tap and hold one of the bookmarks you wish to delete, then a selection of actions will appear and you just select delete.
wondering what browser you running with?

[Q] A05PTH3ORY V1.4X - How to enable text input keyboard navigation?

I searched and was unable anything-- how do you enable navigation buttons in text entry for this ROM? Editing long text messages before sending is next to impossible b/c I can't scroll up or down or left or right to see what was previously entered.
Posted here b/c I'm under-count to post in the dev thread in the dev forum.
I use "smart keyboard pro" with the HTC themed skin. It had the nav buttons you're asking about.
Signature.
My best suggestion for you would be downloading "Gingerbread Keyboard for 2.3". After downloading it, go into your settings menu, and under "language & keyboard" enable gingerbread keyboard. Then go into anywhere where you can input text, longpress the text box to select "input method" and select "Gingerbread Keyboard". From this keyboard, press the spacebar and swipe your finger up. This should pop up keyboard arrows. When you're done, swipe down instead of up.
If I helped ya, and hit the "Thanks"

SMS Notifications Not working!!?

Ok...
Whatsapp works, Email works. But SMS notification just doesn't...
Tried shutting down, changing ringtone, and even the power button+ volume down trick.Nothing is working.
SMS just silently comes in...
Help??
From within "Text Messaging" app, press the menu button [left most physical touch key].
Then go to "Messaging Settings". Scroll all the way down to Notification settings.
Adjust the settings accordingly to what you'd like.

How To Guide This is how you assign Google Assistant to the power button (instead of Bixby)

Download Good Lock from the Samsung Galaxy Store. Good Lock is an app developed by Samsung that allows users to customize their phone's interface and features.
Inside Good Lock, download Routines+ from the "Family" section. Routines+ is a plugin for Good Lock that enables users to create custom actions for their phone.
Open the "Modes and Routines" app within Routines+. This is where you can create a custom routine for the power button long press.
Tap on the "Create Routine" button at the bottom of the screen.
Give your routine a name, such as "Google Assistant Long Press".
Under the "Trigger" section, tap on "Add Trigger" and select "Button".
Select "Side key press and hold" as the button action.
Under the "Action" section, tap on "Add Action" and select "App".
Select "Google Assistant" from the list of apps.
Tap on "Save" to save your routine.
Make sure your routine is enabled by toggling the switch next to its name.
That's it! Now, when you long press the power button on your Samsung Galaxy phone, Google Assistant will open instead of Bixby.
You can also use the Registar module of Good Lock, much easier.

Using the method I mentioned, it also allows you to assign to either volume button (with a double tap or long press). Gotta love the customizability of the Galaxy!
