As the above people have mentioned, it is quite fast, and definitely faster than the previous version (considering the lag when using the previous version over a WiFi connection).
Thanks so much Andreson01 !!

Not sure about other launchers, but with the ADW Launcher, if you press the main app button to see all of your apps, then long press on the market and select application info, it will open the market under manage applications, which gives you the option of clearing data, uninstalling etc... and viewing the version number

Thanks so much for your information! Apparently we can check it by pressing setting - applications - manage applications - then choose market (as well as other programs that we want to check their versions)

So this can't be installed in Android 2.1?

Thanks for nice post. Can it be used on android 2.3.7 gingerbread (miniCM7)?

[App]New Android Market 3.1.6

The Android market got updated to version 3.1.6. You can download the apk here.
For those who use AOSP Roms like CyanogenMod 7, try flashing the new google apps, if this didn't work out well for you.

4. Copy the downloaded file to /system/app
5. Rename it to Vending.apk
6. Now press & hold the app and select Permissions
7. Select only the options given below. Now reboot & enjoy.....

Seemed to work fine for me too! Thanks for the post!
From a reputable android site:
"Also, many folks seeing this are looking for solutions and coming across a version 3.1.6 of the Android Market to download install … only it doesn’t look like it is a real release. According to a Twitter post, there are significant differences in the ‘signing’ of the file, making it suspicious and not a good choice to download."
I'd hold back guys...
can anyone post screenshots or does it look the same ?

Works great on Neo MT15i, thanks for your effort, but the app really sucks. Some texts like "messenger" and "last used app" get chopped in the edges of the screen. the home takes away the good performance of CM10, plus the increased battery consumption and data usage.
I'm sticking with trebuchet.

The idea of this app is to switch between uxpnxtlockscreen.apk easily without need to reboot.
you can try to resign your uxpnxtlockscreen.apk then remove it from system/app and install the resigned uxpnxtlockscreen.apk like normal app so there's no need to reboot.

on this concept app when you press on "Remove UXPNXTLockScreen" it will just uninstall your resigned uxpnxtlockscreen so it will works with the framework lockscreen.
you can put the your resigned lockscreens on mnt/sdcard/system/LockScreens.
if switch the LockScreen the app will uninstall your lockScreen then install the sellected lockscreen.

Hello friend,
For the first app, i.e. Lockscreen setting, I've already made an app named "LockScreen Style". It does the same job what you wanted.
Just see my signature for the download link.
For the second app, i.e. Advance APK Installer, yes I can try to build it but right now I am out of city for 20-25 days and I left my laptop at my home.
So when I come back, I'll try to build this app.
For the third app, i.e. Timescape Small App, I think there is already a small app, you should search it on Play Store.
Thanks.

Thanks,
I saw your LockScreen Style app before but it switch between aosp lock screen and uxpnxtlockscreen. on my idea you can also switch between different uxpnxtlockscreen without need to change it on system/app.
you can try to resign your uxpnxtlockscreen.apk then remove it from system/app and install the resigned uxpnxtlockscreen.apk like normal app so there's no need to reboot.
Note: for the advanced apk installer I took the idea from the packageinstaller.apk from your zelly cream ROM
