Help create Custom ROM - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I will present my problem:
My custom ROM is almost complete but I have a small problem to change my theme, for example I took the theme ICE CREAM SANDWICH THEME of the lien xda here
And I'd like to change, for example change the lockscreen to jkay because I do not like the slide "to the glass" and change lots of other little details.
Returning to my concerns, I modify the framework-res.apk and I stuck the slide files in the folder res / drawable-hdpi then I recompile apk file and I put on my custom rom flash and I .
The problem is that my phone boot and when I come home on it continuously reboot.
If you have an idea I'm listening at the moment my rom is made and works perfectly I do not like is the slide of the lockscreen ...

Goto cwm recovery, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache.
Download a theme from jkay thread.
In cwm, under mounts and storage, you can mount usb storage. Connect phone to your pc, copy the theme zip you downloaded to, and flash.

You mean you don't like the sliders that does un-locking and other stuffs?
In deluxe settings, choose jKay Glass Deluxe instead of jKay aosp Deluxe.
Then Under Lockscreen wallpaper, choose Transparent or Lockscreen.

[Q] How to do a complete wipe of my SGS2?

Here is my problem,
Messed around with Batista's 2.2 rom. Messed around with the provided TW launcher theme settings:
From the main screen, <Menu button> -> Preferences > TwLauncher > Install theme...
now instead of pointing to a downloaded theme.zip I pointed to the actual Batista2.2Rom.zip -> big mistake...
It copied the zip file somewhere and deleted it from my root folder. Now I see my rom whenever I go to TW4 preferences > Pick a theme... I can see my Batista2.2Rom.zip..
Nothing helped, deleting dalvik cache, Wipe data/factory reset... nothing
After 3 rom installations I still see my Rom.zip as a theme.
How can I delete it or do a full wipe of the phone, every setting?
(Using Titanium backup to uninstall Tw Launcher didn't help either)
Recovery mounts and storage format data cache system and sd card
Reboot to download mode and flash stock rom .

themes

sorry if this was asked b4, couldnt find it. Well im thinking about installing a theme on my phone, 1st these were the instruction i found, dont know if it correct
1) Copy zip to SDcard.
2) Reboot in Recovery -> Wipe cache & dalvik-cache.
3) Goto Advanced -> Reboot Recovery.
4) Install theme using apply zip from SDcard.
5) Reboot.
secondly this is what i want to do
Can it be installed on stock, im on JPM and im happy with it, and most importantly what are the effects (if any) caused by theming, eg does the phone slow down, force close or reboot alot etc. Also what is the average size of a theme (although i have alot of space) I wanna know.
Well yes those steps are right. It can be installed on STOCK DEODEXED ROMs. Not on odexed ROMs. Generally, the size of a theme may range somewhere between 7-10 MB if the theme doesn t contain any themed apps.

First, back up you current rom, copy you files from sd card to you computer, back up you sms if you want, you'll need to format you sd card, wipe everything, follow instruction, flash the rom, enjoy.
You really need to be flamed but it's way too early in the morning. The fact that you are new does not excuse you from the stupidity of posting a new thread asking how to install a different ROM when ALL the instructions are laid out in the ROM thread... and yes I would rather rant and flame you than give you another answer

[Request] Transparent status bar?

Hey guys, I've been searching for a way to get a transparent status bar. There are some methods here but none worked on my current rom (topsmarts) with adw launcher. Anybody have a hint?
I made this for you!

I made one for your rom...
Its like the one for MROM w/o the M in the bar...now says TOPSMARTS.
I made an undo zips for you, just follow the instruction in my other thread.
I let you the files in the attached.
Error STATUS 0
I will give a try, thanks for your effort!
Edit:
For the fellow with status 0: put the file on your sd-card (not internal), go to mounts and storage in the cwm, mount system, mount data, unmount emmc and try again.
The theme flashed well, but the status bar is not transparent :s

[Q]

someone told me, is should post here
hej
i killed the live wallpaper files a long time ago.
now i like to test the weather pro live wp.
can someone tell me, which files i need?
(i can´t simpy install the live wallpaper picker. the system always shows: "app not installed")
Use root file browser to push to system/app and set permissions
i gave all permissions to the apk in the system.
"app not installed" after the installation-prozedure
Have you got the right app for your Rom?
i took the original
secLiveWallpapersPicker.apk
4.1.2 on s3
which i saved before i killed them
And are you still on that same version of jb?
i didn`t change anything till this time

did you reboot your phone after changing the permission ?
the permissions were already there
do i copy it into the system?
or install it from another place?
You just put it in /system/app

You do not install it from there, or from anywhere else. You just put it there, check permissions and reboot. Done.
thats the way i tried it
there is a *.odex datei.
do i have to copy it back too?
what about the "special" permissions?
Is your ROM odexed or de-odexed?
i never did something this way.
its the original 4.1.2 without branding.
flashed with odin.
rooted

It's odexed then, so yes you will also need the .odex from your donor rom
Sometimes it is just easier to flash a pre-rooted ROM version via recovery.
i still can´t use live wallpapers.
when i klick on my background -> background
then there is just
1) galerie
2) quick pic background
If you are on stock Rom, re-flash it with mobile Odin without wiping data
After copy try to clear cache and dalvik-cache in the recovery.

it still doesnt work.
if i flash again: will my confugurations be gone with the wind?
in my recovery is no option to wipe dalvuk.
titanium says there is nothing to clear,
so how can i wipe dalvik?
Dalvik wipe is in the advanced menu of CWM based recoveries.
However, your ROM is odexed so /system/apps don't have dalvik-cache anyway, so it wont help.
Flashing a de-odexed, pre-rooted ROM, if its a same version (4.1.2 etc) should not have any negative effect on your config
